I was redoing my place and checking Craigslist for Mid Century Modern furniture when I stumbled upon this store in Sebastapol. They had posted an ad of a Danish credenza for sale. I contacted the owner Chris who promptly replied back to me with the price and other details. Initially I was reluctant to make the trip all the way to Sebastapol to just to take a look at this piece. However, after looking at several places and not finding anything that I liked I finally visited Chris’s showroom. Boy! I was really impressed by the vast inventory of amazing mid century pieces that he had. Also Chris himself is very nice to work with. He is friendly and will make you comfortable. I came home with a beautiful Kurt Ostervig credenza and the Danish credenza that I wanted to buy. Must visit for all antique lovers and he also has a huge art gallery adjacent to the furniture showroom.

I happen to stumble upon this amazing place the other day and was blown away by the quality and prices of the impeccable pieces inside an old barn/warehouse. Craig recently opened shop up here in Sonoma County after years of running a successful store in Burlingame. His collection, sensibility and keen eye for rare and special pieces make him a true artist in his own right. Did I mention he is also opening another location directly next door expanding his offerings? We walked away with a John Stewart Mid-century teak couch and a metal medical cabinet, both of which are unique and conversation pieces in our home. If you are looking for that one piece(or two or three) to make a statement in your home and want top quality pieces that will hold their value for years, then you have to check out this shop! Couches, tables, art, lamps etc. Add it to your next tour through wine country, you won’t be disappointed.

First class seller and shop with a stunning, carefully curated collection of mid-modern pieces, lots of gorgeous Danish teak. Craig appeared to have great integrity and knowledge of his inventory and made me feel like home browsing the room. And, reasonable prices given the quality of the items on the floor. Glad to have Janakos in the North Bay!

Craig was so helpful! Even though we did not end up selling the piece with him, he provided background and provenance for the piece and then gave us reliable recommendations for other options. Craig is honest and a fount of information. We highly recommend him and look forward to visiting his new store in Fulton.

Craig is moving his South bay store here to Santa Rosa and his inventory is amazing! Very select MCM pieces in excellent condition. Really the only retailer of his kind in the entire area specializing in Atomic age furnishings, not to mention the largest, this is a warehouse basically, but artfully arranged. I am a collector of the era and he is really wonderful and knowledgable. They are in the process of relocating, and soon he will be open Friday Saturday & Sundays. If your lucky, Chewy will be there to greet you!

My husband and I just bought a 60’s home and have been looking for original pieces for it. We happened upon janakos and are so happy we did! Craig is awesome and makes the buying process so comfortable and easy. Wonderful midcentury furniture at a good price. We bought our first piece and look forward to more in the near future! Thanks Craig!

My sister is having her first baby and was ranting and raving about this table located here. Thought it would be nice if I surprised her and take a look at the table and possibly buy it as a baby shower gift? Was blown away not only at the selecion but the vintage pieces at this showroom. The table was beautiful and in fantastic shape. Price was reasonable and customer service only added comfort to my purchase. Thank you!

Loved the Mid Century Modern pieces. They do have limited hours but, it was worth the trip! Reasonable prices and unique items. The owner was really welcoming and made it easy to shop around. I have two kids under 2 so it’s tough going any where:) A must go, for any Mid-Modern lovers out there!!!
