HOWQUICKLY A GOODREVIEWGOESBAD! Third time in a row my order was bad, one of the clerks behind the counter had a horrible attitude when asking her to correct my order. Complained to the manager and he allowed the employee to argue back and forth with me — without stepping in. For the price of the food they charge I’d expect better service and management. I WILLNOTFREQUENTHEREAGAIN!!! I then get to work to discover the potato soup I ordered had NO potatoes… it was full of liquid, cheese, and bacon. What a way to waste $ 4.99 plus the up charge for the condiments.

Stopped in at FSC based on Unilocal reviews while en route to Ft Walton Beach, Fl. Right off I want to say I am a foodie. I was looking forward to some local goods at this highly rated Café. The establishment is clean, organized and friendly. Upon entering you are greeted with a sweet aroma of coffee and snickerdoodle… glorious right?! I ordered the Bacon cheeseburger and a side. I give the burger a 6 out of 10 just above fair. Patty was well cooked although a bit over. Too much BBQ sauce and little else. Turkey Panini with Provolone, I give it a 5… it was just fair. No real Panini pizazz or flavor profile. Quite simply the food is boring, it lacks creativity and is marginal on taste. The prices are low and it’s right off the highway so an easy stop. The coffee house side is the draw. The espresso is good. All in all don’t believe the hype. This is a fair place to eat but no «local gem».

I didn’t have much expectations for this small town but this place surprised me with quality of food and service! For a week of stay in Gadsden I was here 4 days out of the 5 for lunch; because I ate at work cafeteria Monday… don’t change anything and I’ll keep coming back when I’m in town :)

Visited this place back in late December and had to give it a review. Being the only coffee shop of its kind that we could find at the time, my family and I decided to stop in and give their brew a chance. We walked into more than just a café; the place seemed almost alive to us! Every worker bustling along, the place PACKED with customers. Offering both food and drink, we decided to get some coffee. Our respective drinks were all great! I would’ve liked to see more options on their coffee menu per special drinks and such, but that won’t keep me from coming back. I found myself wanting to stay a few more hours to eat there for dinner because their menu was so enticing! Not to mention the feel of the place itself. We could’ve sat there for hours just because of the fact that it’s one of those places that even on your first visit you just feel like home. If you’re in the area, you’d be remiss if you didn’t stop in at FlipSide. You won’t regret it.

I didn’t expect it to have a fast food chain feel to it. I’m not sure if it is a chain but it certainly has the look/feel of one. We choose this place by looking on Unilocal for places on our route home. I got the Ruben, my husband got the turkey club. We both got sweet potato waffle fries. It was all very good. The kids behind the counter were all very polite. I didn’t give it five stars because it looked just a touch run down/uncared for. I would stop there again and would suggest it to friends but I wouldn’t just rave about it.((This was the Sunday after Thanksgiving and at lunch rush by the look of it so we may have caught them at at off time.))

This is a great little place to eat. Took my wife and kids here while we were traveling and we will be back again. Turkey club with cranberry mayo was great, quesadillas were excellent, and my wife loved here Caesar salad sandwich. At the end of the meal the manager gave each of my three kids a huge chocolate chip cookie which made their day. Little places like this that do food right need to be supported. You can tell by their service that they care about the customer. We will be coming back.

Every time I’m in Gadsden I have to stop at FlipSide and get a breakfast wrap. I love it! Fresh cooked eggs, bacon or sausage and those incredible potato bites! The staff is always super nice and helpful. Oh and the coffee bar is great as well!

I believe this is hands down one of the best & most original places to go in Gadsden. Gadsden & surrounding areas are in much need of many more original places such as this. My favorites are the Turkey Club & Sweet Potato fries. Tonight, they had Sweet Potato Waffle Fries… they were so so good! I have never had sweet potato waffle fries but they certainly beat even Chick fil A’s regular waffle fries by a long shot… & that’s coming from someone who loves Chick fil A as well. I think it’s super great that they have a drive thru. The young employees are always very nice & polite. Nowww, a little birdy has told me that the employees are not scheduled well & are always scheduled last minute, etc. Thattt I cannot agree with doing bcus they will get run down if that is so & that is not very considerate management in my opinion. Also, I tried connecting to the Wifi & it was asking me for a password… whattt? Since when? I mean okkk… buttt… I kind of think this should be open for paying customers who dig this joint such as myselfie ha

Just passing through Gadsden on a cross-country trip and chose Flip Side based on Unilocal reviews. We weren’t disappointed. We both had coffee and the breakfast wrap and both were delicious not to mention that the wrap was generous enough for the two of us to have split. Good food, good service, comfortable atmosphere and affordable prices. Who needs more?

Very disappointed in my experience flip side. I love a good coffee shop and had seen many posts about this place. As I was driving by their large sign advertising a turtle mocha, I was pulled in thinking that sounds delish I think I will. As I walked in their only customer was leaving. I went to the register and ordered the turtle mocha. I was told they could not sell the turtle mocha until the following Monday. The barista asked the manager if she could make one for me since I was from out of town and stopped in due to the advertisement and the request was denied. They wanted this coffee drink to be a big deal. I wish I would have ordered the turtle nut mocha that was also advertised and just asked them to hold the«nut» flavor. I guess I will never know if the turtle mocha made it to «big deal» status. I hope for their sake there were customers waiting around the parking lot on that following Monday waiting for that turtle mocha. I do not live in the area, but do travel through Gadsden quite often and needless to say I do not think I will be returning to the Flip side café.

Everyone seems to have their own thing that they love to get at Flipside! For me it’s the Reuben, I don’t know why anyone would ever get anything there! It’s the best $ 5 Reuben you’ll ever have. The sweet potato fries and the coffees are excellent as well. My favorite thing about Flipside is the people who work there — I don’t know any of them — but everyone is so so so nice and personable you get that weird feeling that they must know you from somewhere and you’ve just forgotten. After a while you realize that everyone there is just that nice! More often than not I wind up having the most delightful conversation with the person taking my order. Once going through the drive thru my whole car was in fits, laughing hysterically at the amazingly hilarious back and forth that was happening with myself and the drive thru attendant. It was an almost sublime exchange that certainly would never happen at a chain restaurant where employees check their personality at the door. If this place has a onboarding program or training seminar I wish everyone everywhere would use it!

This place is like similar to a Panera, Atlanta Bread Company, Crispers, ext but I think it’s locally owned and one of a kind. The food is nice and fresh and people working there were really nice. If you are in the area stop by and check them out!

Flip Side seems like a chain blah type of place, but they are totally a small town feel, all the way down to the owner’s license plate. Two things I love here– the breakfast sandwiches(croissants are to die for) and the tater tots. Even if you’re too full for the whole combo, you’ve gotta try at least one! The coffee drinks are a little sweet, but I’m sure you can request less flavoring. Definitely where I go for a quick breakfast though(they’re obviously successful if I pass up the chick fil a next door!!!)

In Gadsden having a look around as I may be relocating here and found this place. It’s right across the street from my hotel. There were mixed reviews on Unilocal, but I found it really good. The guy working behind the counter helped me select a turkey club and sweet potato fries. they were both yummy. He also took the time to tell me about some of the neighborhoods, ones to avoid and such. Super nice staff.

This is a locally owned and operated joint. I never mind giving a local place a go, and especially when they are doing things right like this one. The food was so inexpensive, I was concerned whether the portions would be enough to satisfy. They are. The wraps are substantial! The food was fresh and served up fast by friendly folks. I’m no coffee connoisseur, so I won’t attempt to rate it, but the iced coffee I had worked for me. I’ve been back since my initial visit and look forward to returning when I’m in the area.

Girlfriend and I stopped by here late on a weekend night, about a half hour before they were to close. There wasn’t anyone to be seen behind the counter and I think we scared them a little when they realized we were there. They had been busy cleaning up and getting ready to close. I had never been here before, but Girlfriend had, so she was pretty familiar with their menu. I wasn’t feeling too adventurous, so we both ordered FlipSide Mochas. The cashier took our order and our money and after I was handed a receipt, she left to go make our drinks. I wasn’t quite sure if I was supposed to stand and wait, or go sit down. So, we chose to go sit down. Finally after several minutes, I heard the cashier calling for us… our drinks were ready. My mocha was pretty good, certainly better than the stuff you can get at the usual national chain that charges big BUCKS. The pricing at FlipSide was about on par with what I’m used to paying The staff let us sit and finish our drinks and talk until just before they were ready to leave… so it was nice that they didn’t throw us out right when they locked the doors…. According to the website, this place used to be a Taco Bell… now that I’ve read that, I can kind of see it, but when I was there, I couldn’t really tell. They did a really nice job remodeling it into a pleasant little coffee house. I didn’t try any of the food, because we were already stuffed from dinner earlier, but I certainly enjoyed my coffee and would come back again.
