We come to South Carolina once a year. We decided to try a new place. We wanted to stay in town where we have stayed before. So we decided to try a new place after 5 years of our standby hotel. We checked in after flying all night and up all day visiting family. The carpets were disgusting dust all over the floor as if they had not vacuumed the floor. The room had been freshly painted. We looked at the sheets and bed spread and it was stained. We asked to be moved to another room. No problem we exchanged keys and went to the room next door. This too was dusty on the furniture along with the sheets looking as if they were not washed from the last guests. Nice and clean on the outside and lots of cars when we drove by in the morning before we could check in so we thought we made a good choice. NOT I would not even want to walk on the floor in bear feet what so ever in the two rooms I saw.

I was recommended to this place by AAA. Upon arrival I was not impressed. The room felt filthy as if it was a place where hookers would stay. the cars and people around me seemed like average people on business. The room had a sense of filth. In other words a icky feeling to it. I almost didn’t want to walk on the rug, even though aesthetically it looked clean. Lots of rust in the A/C unit and bathroom and corners of wall paper looked run down. This is not somewhere I would stay again. They either don’t invest money into their hotels to upkeep or you get what you pay for. This place could be on the verge of bankruptcy. They need to invest money into the rooms. If I wasn’t so tired I would have paid for a higher end hotel for the extra 50 bucks or so.
