If I were just grading the food it would be a 5 star review, but since we had to deal with the staff, they caused the 3 star loss! I had just flown back from Chicago and my family and I wanted a bite to eat before heading home. We chose the Rusty Bucket since that is a place we could all agree upon. Let’s just say the wait was longer than normal and there were plenty of seats available, it took our waitress forever to get our drinks, it took forever for our food to come out, we never saw her until I waved her down for more drinks and I do not think the manager knew how to expedite anything as she stumbled around aimlessly trying to resolve multiple issues in the restaurant. Not that my wife and I were eavesdropping but the table beside us had our same opinions about their wait and the staff. I have been to the«Bucket» in New Albany and have never had an issue, but upper management needs to put some eyes on this location and resolve it in a timely manner.

Okay we’re not off to a good start. Been here 15 minutes and still no server. I myself want to leave or phone them for a server but my partner wants to stay. So here we are waiting. Alas I have won we are leaving and going elsewhere.

Had lunch there today was disappointed, felt like fish and chips, ask if the fish was fresh was told yes, not. 13.95 food is over priced. Also had a hot Grand Mariner 8.50 Kind pricey for a shot, then had a beer with food, good selection. Will not return. Srevice was great.

The food just isn’t special at all. It came out at a decent time but it’s like stuff the average joe could cook at home. Their BBQ sauce taste like nothing better than a cheap store brand at a grocery store. Their chicken tenders seem to have the exact same batter used at Long John Silvers. Their open face Philly cheesesteak was just normal. Do not waste your time with the chili either. Equal to something out of a can. We only came here because someone gave us gift cards for the holidays. I would not return. Prices are not bad but you’re better off going to Firehouse Subs next door.

The first time I went to The Rusty Bucket it was at the Easton location in Columbus. The day I went the service was poor to say the least. The servers were slow and inattentive and the food was bland. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak(not recommended ATALL) don’t waste your money. The second, and my most recent visit, I went for lunch at the N Hamilton Rd location. This experience was much better in regards to the taste of the food. I ordered the Italian Torpedo which is grilled italian sausage topped with cappicola ham, salami, provolone, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pepperoncinis & italian dressing(sound good right? It was!) As far as the service, it was better than the Easton location but not by much. Customer Service: C Food:Italian Torpedo: B+ Philly Cheesesteak: F Fries: C(ps they’re very stingy with the fry portions, its not that they don’t like you lol) Ambiance: B

It has been quite some time, several years actually since I’ve been to a bucket. The menu has changed a little and the bar menu has been revamped(I still wish they offered more local beers on tap). We came here for a quick work lunch. It wasn’t busy, but it seemed like the food took awhile to come out, about 45 minutes. I had a burger which I felt seemed over priced when you compare to what you can get at all the other high-end burger locations nearby. Other than that, nothing about this visit really stood out.

I love the rusty bucket but this experience makes me question if they have changed. Spinach queso tasted like a block of velveeta and was overly spicy. Just tasted off and wasn’t very warm. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which is usually on point. Not here. Fries were barely warm and chicken wasn’t piping hot. Friend had buffalo chicken pizza that looked super dry. It makes me sad to write a poor review because I feel like they are usually pretty solid. Service was great but that’s about it.

The pesto chicken pasta was seasoned well with very fresh spinach, mushrooms, peppers and tomatoes all tossed with the pasta in white wine sauce, blacked chicken breast and topped with pesto. It came with a garlic bread slice. It tasted really great and did not leave me with a heavy, itis feeling. It was a crowd this evening but because there was a Sunday night football game on the noise was below average. This is a casual setting for an evening family dinner, group outing, or date.

I waited for a table watching as several patrons that came in after me got seated. I was so embarrassed when patrons kept asking why I haven’t been seated yet. They had no answers for me. They only sat us after several other patrons started asking why we haven’t been seated yet. I should have just walked out because they ruined the entire night. The waitress only stopped by once as she was servicing a private party. Food wasn’t great and wasn’t worth the wait.

Great experience – we waited a long time, about 15 minutes before we received water or anything, but the manager quickly resolved the issue and gave us an appetizer on the house. Great food, and great management!

Overall I’m a fan of Rusty Bucket. The New Albany location is by far my favorite. The Gahanna location is good but not as good I think it’s mainly due to different preparation styles of the cooks here. My main complaint is with the BBQ Chicken Salad, at New Albany and anywhere else I’ve had a variation of this salad the chicken is diced and tossed in the BBQ sauce creaing great flavor. At the Gahanna Rusty Bucket the salad was served with strip of grilled chicken atop the salad with BBQ sauce just drizzled on top of that… pretty lazy preparation and resulted in a pretty tasteless salad.

Love Rusty Bucket. My husband and I have eaten there numerous times and we’ve never been disappointed. The fish is amazing and the pizza is really good too. If you like thin crust pizza it’s really good. They’re VERY busy on the weekends

Everything is overpriced for what you get. Menu is ok… Kinda uninspired. Fish sandwich was on the small size, with a giant bun. The bathroom was pretty dirty with urine on the floor. At their prices, you’d think they could afford a mop. On the plus side, the service was good. Waitress was attentive, and refilled our drinks frequently. Just not worth paying sky-high prices for mediocre food — give it a pass.

First time visiting The Rusty Bucket. It was ok, nothing really eye catching. I had the Rusty Bucket Chili dogs and they were pretty good. The fried pickles were good, not heavily battered and greasy. Fish and chips were just that, fish and chips. Battered fish with no real taste unless you add some malt vinegar.

Nothing really impressive about this place. Service was slow, tried to call ahead and the guy, Hunter, who answered the phone left me on hold for 12 minutes, and the food was just ok.

This place is OK. There is nothing special about the food. It is decent pub food. Ive been to the one in Gahanna twice. Both times service was awful. First time was during lunch. I understand it is a busy time… We were seated immediately. From the time we sat down to the time our food came, 45 minutes had passed. We had to take our lunches back to work. Second time was on a Sunday(after the superbowl) around 2pm. The place was empty. From the time we ORDERED, it took 40 minutes for our food to show. AND, we weren’t asked if this was our first visit to the Rusty Bucket(my understanding is that all servers are supposed to ask that question). I won’t go back though I MAY go if you are buying.

Friday night with a party of 10 at 630PM. WOW! Trey was a fantastic server, who never missed a detail. On and off menu specials were given. Suggested compliments to enhance the entrees is always a nice touch. No one’s meal was returned to the kitchen. The manager visited the table. Missing a star because the bathroom needed attention, and the hostesses were too chatty about their personal lives in front of the guests.

Been to the Rusty Bucket up by Dublin once and this location, twice. Love this one, as I’ve had good service, delicious food and an atmosphere that is excellent for chilling with the boyfriend. Our waiters have been polite and helpful when we weren’t sure what we wanted to order and they bring us plenty of water between our booze. The food was super yummy, though not at all appropriate for the folk who have added«dieting» to their new years resolutions. There are many delicious carbs and sweets and dairy products here, and though I’m sure there were a few salads, we paid them no mind. They had TVs up all over the wall, but they didn’t have the volume turned up to obnoxious levels, so we could chat and enjoy our meals while mentally berating the Browns for failing to make the playoffs… again. Would recommend!

I came here tonight for a friend’s birthday celebration. When I first came in I gave my party’s name and they thought I wanted to sit at the bar high seats but I ended up telling them a booth for 12 people. Our server was very nice, I started off with the raspberry lemonade which was good but I had to ask for some sweetener to make it less tarty. So I got the liquid sweetener and it was all good. Just don’t ask for refills unless your willing to pay for each of those glasses. I didn’t ask for the refill since one glass was enough for me. Then I ordered the veggie burger man was that good! i just messed it up by adding ketchup to it when it didn’t need it. It was perfect without it. The birthday girl also got the veggie burger and an angry orchard. Her friend ordered the rueben sandwich which oh my goodness that thing looked so delicious besides what I had. He pared that with the founders favorite drink and they had to measure his second cup to get it right! So I’ve told you what I had and what some of the people at the table had onto the service. We had a wonderful waitress who seemed to be at our beck and call when we needed something. She also recommended what was good on the menu which demonstrates great customer service. Therefore, I did take the after survey and rated her service wonderful. The one thing I do not get is when you receive the check if you’ve paid by credit card, it has two sections for charity and then tip. So what charity are they doing? Who is this benefiting? I don’t give money out of my pocket just for writing charity on a check. I would like to know what charity it is you are talking about before I decide to round up and give to it. So I just gave for the tip which I thought she deserved the 20 percent tip. The location is pretty much in a tight area but newly built off Hamilton Road. So you can’t really miss it. I think there is plenty of parking but they do mark it for the restaurant too. If your ever in the Gahanna area you should come by and experience it for yourself!

Great beer list. A lot of good ones on tap. Chicken Parmesan is awesome. I want to come back and try the fish & chips.
