I’m more than upset with the experience i have had with Carrie, the accounts person. I had a major issue with my insurance that involved them paying my claim and then retracting it. I have spent months trying to rectify the situation with Carrie and she has been no help. Not only have my calls not been returned but she never returned the calls to my insurance broker nor the insurance company. But they had no problem sending me to collections. I left a message for Dr. Miller to discuss it with him and mentioned it was urgent and didn’t receive a call back. I’ve moved on. On a brighter note, James is awesome!

We had to wait almost an hour after our appointment time — and weren’t even seen until after hours — but Dr. Keeney still took his time with my exam. Both my boyfriend and I were astonished at his level of knowledge about my very rare medical condition, which I had never considered related to my vision before. However, we both felt very pressured into the upsell by the optician. Under normal circumstances, his behaviour and demeanour would have been off-putting enough to keep us from returning. It is a testament to Dr. Keening that Eye Columbus still made two new loyal customers that evening.

My favorite eye doctor in Gahanna. They’re professional, courteous, and very efficient at this location. I rarely have to wait and the are very accommodating of my husbands hectic work schedule when he tries to set an appointment. Highly recommended!

I was a new patient and it was very easy for me to be seen quickly. I needed to return several times for follow-up appointments, and they were very flexible with my schedule. Dr. Miller was genuinely concerned about the health of my eyes, which made me feel comfortable in his care. I was concerned about a pair of glasses that I purchased, and they resolved the issue quickly and without any hassle. Will definitely recommend in the future.

I feel taken care of at the Columbus Eye Center. I know my eyes have been throughly examined and I feel the doctors take their time to ensure I understand the findings. I am perplexed as to why glasses are so expensive, even with insurance. I now know to not participate in the after meeting with the glasses finders because it is at least a 600 dollar endeavor. I’d rather get the scrip and shop around for a more affordable pair.

I have worn glasses or contacts pretty much my entire life and I have been to many many eye doctors throughout the years. Eye Columbus in Gahanna tops them all! I finally, for the first time, found a pair of contacts that are perfect for my eyes. I feel like every other place put me in something that they get kick backs for and forced me to wear them. The doc at eye Columbus gave me multiple options. When one didn’t feel just right, we went to another type. 5 different brands later, I found the perfect contact! Thank you so much. *Update #2* — LOVE this place! I ran them ragged ordering frames and they still treated me with respect and did everything they could to help me. I have nothing but praise for the wonderful folks who work here. If you care to know the details, please read on, but the bottom line is: they treat every customer as if they are the only one. I recently went back in for my annual eye exam and a frames/lens update. I tried on about 50 different frames about 1,000 times that day and couldn’t make a decision. I brought my husband in the following week to get his opinion and even though I wasn’t in love with them, I decided on a pair of Ted Bakers and had them ordered. When they came in about a week later, they had transitions lenses in them(not what I had ordered) and I didn’t realize it until I got home that afternoon. I called the next day and they informed me that they would re-order the lenses right away in the correct specs. Meanwhile, I stopped back in to get a frame adjustment that same evening and mentioned that I wasn’t really sold on the frames. Stevie assisted me that day and said that they«don’t really do refunds», but that she would ask the manager the following day. I tried on more frames and was leaning towards a Gucci frame, but they seemed sort of bent out of shape. Stevie said that she would order a brand new pair in for me to try on. She called me back the next day and said that they would make an exception on the refund and that they stopped the re-order on the lenses. She also ordered the Gucci frames. When the Guccis came in, I went back to try them on and I hated them. I was at a loss because I didn’t really like any of the other frames and didn’t know what to do. I seriously cried that day on the way home I was so frustrated. Stevie suggested that I try looking online to see if I could find any frames that I wanted them to order and also that to visit other retailers to see if I find any that I liked. If I did, she said that she would order them in. A few weeks went by and I didn’t find anything in a store that I liked. I was beyond frustrated and was going to have them, just re-order my current LaFont frames with the new RX(the frames were showing wear and were stretched out). I just happened to be out of town for a week for work the following week and while cooped up in the hotel room, looked online and came up with about 6 frames that I really liked and wanted to try. I emailed them to the Gahanna location and Jen emailed me back and said that she was able to order 3 of them. I was ecstatic. When the 3 frames came in, I rushed in to try them on and hated them all. I was so discouraged, but it was a slow evening and the 3 ladies in the office helped out and we found 2 more pairs that were contenders. They had come in since my last visit. They also suggested that I visit their New Albany location(which is actually in Gahanna up by Meijer). I stopped there when I left and found 2 more pairs that I liked(one was on my original email list, only in a different color). The manager at that location said that she could order the frames in the other color so I was pumped. They were LaFonts and were my favorite from my original email list. When they came in, Jen coordinated so that they shipped to the Gahanna location and I tried on both contenders at the same time. That was a fantastic idea and I ultimately decided on the LaFonts. It’s been about a month since I picked up the finished product and I am in love with the frames. I get compliments almost daily, even from strangers. Thank you Eye Columbus staff!

I had my first appointment with Eye Columbus last year and received a new prescription of transition lenses(like bifocals without the line). When I received the new glasses I could tell that the alignment at the break point between the top and bottom of the lenses were off. They were not right. I called 3 times and all 3 times I was told by the front desk that I just wasn’t used to wearing the lenses and to keep wearing them and that I would get used to them. So I followed their advice and I went a year having difficulty seeing with these lenses. I went against my judgment and decided to give them another chance and I went back for my yearly eye exam. After talking with the doctor he told me that I was correct and that the glasses that I had been wearing for a year were misaligned just as I tried to tell the staff last year. After my eye exam I needed to get a new prescription. I was given a couple of discounts on the order because of the trouble from my visit last year and having to wear glasses for a year that were not aligned correctly to my eyes and I did appreciate the gesture and discount. I paid for the lenses on 3÷27÷2015 and was told because of the trouble I had last year that a «rush» would be put on the order and that I would have them in a week. I still have the voicemail on my phone to prove it. 21 days later I still do not have the new lenses. I called today and I spoke to the manager who claimed that the problem and hold up was my insurance company. I asked for a full refund on the lenses and was told no so I hung up and went straight to the office. I was refunded the money when I showed up but again they blamed my insurance company for the delay. I just called and got off of the phone with my insurance company who stated that Eye Columbus did not file the claim until April 4th. 15 days after I had paid for the lenses and told that a «rush» would be put on the lenses. I contacted Eye Columbus every Friday for 3 weeks so they knew I was waiting for these lenses. To cover up their incompetence for not contacting my insurance company timely or ordering the lenses until 15 days after I paid for the lenses It is obvious to me that the manager and employees lied to me to cover up their failures. Yes, I like the doctor but the staff has done nothing but lie to me and blame others, my insurance company, to cover up their incompetence with following through on their promise. Sorry Doc, you just lost a patient and I will be telling everyone in Gahanna about my experience with your facility. Unbelievable that I was lied to for 3 weeks.

My only negative experience was having to wait 4 ½ weeks for my new glasses to be made and arrive(after being told 3). The staff is really friendly here, and they have the best technology which makes for more comfort. Dr. Miller was really cool as well, more of a cool buddy that also happens to be a doctor than all the frumpy old ophthalmologists I grew up with seeing.
