This bowling alley is OK it is the lesser of the 2 bowling alleys here in Gainesville… Alleygatorz is definitely a dated place and has a lingering smell of ciggerette smoke from a bygone era.

The bar is the actual star here… yeah, there is bowling and such — but the real fun is in the bar. There is a pro shop too, Rusty runs that. He rocks. Thursday night is trivia, they do a poker night and a karaōke night, there is a pro shop and one of those digital networked jukeboxes… But really. Its all about the bar. Especially when Kim is behind the bar. Oh, and the grill isn’t bad either. Juicy burgers, decent fries and more.

I won’t ever go to another bowling alley in Gainesville after visiting Alley Gatorz. I enjoy bowling, but always felt like it was so expensive after shoe rentals and games; not at Alley Gatorz. Almost every night they have some crazy special where bowling costs close to nothing! Wednesday nights: 50 cent night: you pay a $ 5 cover and then everything is 50cents games, shoe rentals, 10oz beers, hot dogs. its a great deal. I go bowling once or twice a week now. Alley Gatorz is great.

Bowling! (Wait, do I bowl?) Would you believe some of the best wings in town are here? Seriously, I got pictures at home! You should see ‘em, they’re beautiful! Big, dark and crispy, meat juicy and sliding off the bones. And their fries, ohmigawd their fries. Om nom nom. … oh, it’s my turn to bowl? Okay, lemme just … ha ha, gutterballs! Okay, back to eating! (Where have my hands just been?)
