Atlas Pizza

OMFG! This place is amazing! Got lost, literally stumbled on this place. The food was fantastic! Get the bread sticks — garlicky butter goodness! My hubby has the supreme pizza — he is a pizza fanatic and was speechless by the awesome meaty goodness! I had the chicken club… wow! Should rename it to the chicken bacon pizza sandwich! So good!
Definitely coming back and bringing friends and family!

Great Pizza. Fresh ingredients and tons of toppings.

My daughter and I was there this afternoon for lunch. Something happened to our orders to where my daughter received hers and I didn’t. I waited till she was done with her meal hoping my food would come out. When she was done I still did not receive my order. I asked the waitress what was going on with my order and she got upset. At first not at me, but at the back staff. Without missing a beat she ran to the back. Never told us what she was doing, to hold on, or anything. After a few minutes she came out from the back and with my order and said that I should have received it when my daughter received hers. You could see that it was cold and that it been setting. At this point I was upset. I told her «To cancel my order and handed her my credit card». As she was running my credit card she started to complained loudly about a staff member and myself. When she handed my card back I asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came over she did not introduce herself or anything. I had to ask if she was the manager. I then explained the situation to her. Her words were ok sir «Have a nice day». It was just a blowoff. I could not believe it. I then came home and calmed down. I said screw it, if I had someone representing me acting this poorly I would want to know about it. I talked to a friend and got the owners info. I called the owner Vick and started to tell my story. He told me to «Hurry up he is very busy». I started up again then he stopped me and said that I threatened to rape one of his waitresses. «WHAT!!!» That is a huge accusation to throw around. I could not believe my ears. I told him I was there with my 8 year old daughter in a town that knows me pretty well, do you really think I would say something like that? I did not say anything threatening at all. The worse thing I said was this is BS. He also claimed that I caused issues yesterday, but I was never there yesterday or in the past 6 months. He told me he did not need my business an not to come back. I don’t know if he has me confused with someone else or just said something extreme thinking that I would not fire back. I just can not believe this. I been there before several times and had great experiences. I always took family there when they come to visit. I also took clients of mine to lunch at Atlas. It is just a shame.

Very friendly staff and nice location, but the pizza is just fair and nothing to brag about.

Its on the square in Gainesville and parking can be a little tricky but the pizza is very good. The crust makes the pizza, it has a great flavor. I’ve only ordered take out so I can’t rate the service while dining inside. Good pizza, must try.

Best Pizza in town! Great atmosphere. Sit outside and enjoy a beverage. Right on the Historic Square in downtown Gainesvegas, the locals call it.

Relying on Unilocalers for a good pizza joint while out of town on business. Highly rated atlas didn’t disappoint. Had the supreme thin crust well done and it was superb. Excellent service in spite of being the last ones to leave on a Sunday night. Generous toppings and flavorful sauce and crust. Definitely a winner!

First time there on ⁴⁄₁₀. Had the California Pizza, probably the best crust I have ever had. The ingredients were outstanding also.
The only negative was no dark imported beer, sorry american beer is o.k. but just does not match up to the imported dark beers.
The server was very friendly and did a good job.

Pizza is amazing but will not go to dine in anymore, there were so many flies inside I couldn’t even enjoy my food because I was too busy trying to keep the flies away.

Our first time… as with many others we are Mellow Mushroom fans but after today we’ll definitely be back

I stopped by today for the first time. My four stars accounts for pizza having crust that’s actually delicious (garlic butter and cheese… yum!).
We had the supreme but I was disappointed by the lack of vegetable toppings. There was a small handful of onions on a few slices but the rest of our extra large pizza was bereft.
It was also a slightly busy lunchtime so service wasn’t its best.

Atlas is the perfect place to stop in and eat pizza in the square. It is a good alternative to Mellow Mushroom’s pizza.
Their parmesan breadsticks are a great appetizer if you are dining in with a group. Every pizza I have tried has been delicious. I especially love the light buttery parmesan crust.
I gave them four stars instead of five simply because I have been a few times when the waiting staff has forgotten about my table. At times you often seat yourself so your entrance may go unnoticed.
Their prices are affordable for speciality pizzas. A small pizza is around 8 dollars.

We’re regulars here. It should be at least a 3.5 star. These past few visits, the pizzas have been really good again (for a brief time in the past, the pizzas were not as good as when we first went… and we went alot)…but now, they’re back in their game! Been back at least three to four times this past couple months, and its all good!
We usually get a medium with sausages and olives. Good basic pizza pie. Salad is good to share too.
Servers are always great. We like our local pizza place!

My wife and I stopped in this pizzeria while on our way to visit a friend in Gainesville. The Unilocal and Trip Advisor were consistent, so we made Atlas our choice for dinner. WOW! The pizza and garlic bread could only be surpassed by the excellent service. Our waitress, the managers, and everyone we encountered were phenomenal. The toppings were flavorful and plentiful, and the crust was AMAZING! My wife is planning a return trip. By the way we live over an hour away but will definitely stop in Atlas Pizza anytime that we are in the area. If you are near Gainesville or Lake Lanier do yourself a favor and experience Atlas pizza.

I am very picky on pizza, and this place definitely satisfies! they load the pizza with toppings! It is Affordable, and environment is comfortable. Service was not all that great, but understandable since the place was super busy.

I am a pizza snob. And this is the best pizza I have had since moving south. the crust is light and flavorful, toppings fresh and delicious (beef was amazing) and when they put the pepperoni on top, of everything so they get crispy, they are doing things right!!! first time I have found pizza in georgia to be better than average!

My husband and I frequent this spot OFTEN!
We always order two small personal pans WITH BLUE CHEESE DRESSING ON THE SIDE. When I tell u the bc is undeniably the best I’ve EVER had in my LIFE and it’s made in house. Cheap and tasty!

I just had the best Hawaiian pizza ever. I added sweet pepper (yellow peppers, peppercinnis, whatever you call em) to the pizza. Absolutely 100% amazing. I finished the whole thing. It comes with pineapple and ham and that’s it.
BTW…the ranch sauce with the dill in it takes the cake as probably the most unique and fresh ranch I’ve ever had. I am thoroughly impressed. I will continue to make this my cheat meal on leg day.
I order a corona too, maybe I was having one of those days, but it tasted particularly fresh. I love when the beer is just the right coldness.
Again, huge glass of water too .
Environment is calm. A little chilly inside, scorching hot outside. Nice staff.

This is my favorite restaurant in Gainesville. I really love their salads and their pizza AND their ranch dressing. If you are trying to give up ranch, don’t try theirs because it is near impossible to turn that stuff down.
Tip: their side salads are huge, so don’t order the full size unless you are super hungry. Also, their personal pizza’s are pretty filling too. Also, $ 2 PBRs! Not a bad deal.
This place piles on the toppings. Like, the supreme pizza is loaded. That’s why personal size pizza’s will fill you up. The only comparable salad in Gainesville is at Magnolia’s. But that place is only open on weekdays for lunch. Atlas is where its at, yo.

I enjoyed this place for pizza for sure. We decided to eat inside. The tables outside were full. It’s a popular place since it’s so close to the school.
We had the chicken wings which were just right. My fiancé likes them a tad well done and he enjoyed these along with the hot sauce. Their ranch tasted housemade and it was yummy. Our pizza was a tad juicy but mainly because the dough was homemade. A generous amount of cheese and sauce. I prefer a unique pizza place over a chain any day!
