I wouldn’t call this a «diner» as much as a café; a nice place on the inside of a little strip. The seating is in the hallway, divided from the rest of the mall-like area by planters. The food is good, Not spectacular, but tasty and not terribly expensive. The hibiscus tea was wonderful. The service staff left a bit to be desired – although the woman taking our order was on her first day at the café, she was also severely disinterested in answering any of the questions that we had about the menu… up to and including the point where we asked what the B.F.D. stood for and she blew us off with, «It means whatever you want it to mean.» Huh. Neat.

I was excited to try the new diner downtown… I’m always looking for a good breakfast place. When they finally came up with the name, I wasn’t sure what it stood for… «big f**ing deal»? «big friendly dinosaur»? But then I was told it stands for«boca fiesta diner». The breakfast is predictable and good… although the biscuits and gravy were disappointing. They put pimento cheese in the gravy! But the bacon and eggs plate was delicious… simple and good. They also have home made pop-tarts which are dangerous! Tried a chili dog for lunch which was bangin’. I will definitely be back multiple times to try out other items on the menu.
