TV is on, beer is available, and the bar is low. Lots of senior citizens and children at this location.

It is a bit of a funky smelling place. It’s surprising that the place meets fire code because it is really crowded with randomly scattered tables. Service was slow but pleasant, but the food was not nearly as good as it could have been. I hate it when they server a chili dog and then put it in a plastic basket. I mean, how am I supposed to eat it without making a mess. Cutting it on the wax paper ends up being a disaster. The smell was nearly overpowering and made eating not that great. We will not be back here.

Waited 30 minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. Food was taken to the wrong table and when it arrived one of the orders was wrong. Not a word from the manager, no compensation on bill, etc. we will not be back again

We’ve never had a bad meal at Beef’s. It’s a local sports bar with good atmosphere and solid food choices. Check out specials such as Monday for burgers(my wife’s favorite place to eat one in town is Beef’s) and Taco Tuesday(my favorites are fish tacos). The beer is always cold. Prices aren’t bad.

Everything is right out of the fryer or the microwave so remember you’re not here for the food you’re here for the beer and the espn package you were too cheap to spring for and both of those things beef does well. This location always picks their worst server to be the bartender so get a table.

This Beef’s is musty and cluttered, dark and too warm. The last time I ate there, the burger was good but the gravy on my mashed potatoes looked like it was made from burnt bits scraped off the grill and I got sick a few hours later. Should have just gotten the buffalo chicken fingers like I used to always order. The time before that, I ordered a burger medium well and got it medium rare. When I sent it back, the waitress returned saying the manager didn’t really have anything to say about it and didn’t offer any compensation, so she gave me a personal coupon of hers just to make up for it. Last visit I was told they aren’t going to be serving the curly fries anymore either. I saw the manager lady putting ice in a personal cup, holding the cup over the ice bin, potentially splashing the contaminated contents into the ice. The managers don’t seem to care about customer satisfaction or food safety regulations, and although the servers seem to be trying to do their best, and the food usually tastes good, I don’t feel safe eating here anymore. Although this is one of the few places within walking distance of my work place, I haven’t been back and doubt I will be anytime soon.

The food was average, the service was horrible. Hands down the worst service I have ever received. I had to summons the manager for refills because our waitress never came back to our table, even after she said she would bring refills. I don’t recommend eating here.

Just left Beef’O at 1999 in Gainesville with hubby. Manager not the swiftest guy. We had a coupon for free appetizer, he gave only half off because his store is not participating in the coupon promotion. Well, Beef’O address is clearly written on the partnership publication. If you go to this place and have a coupon, do not cut it out, take the entire paper, publication or magazine.

We discovered Beefs in 2001 when we moved to Gainesville and lived off Tower Road. We were in love with their burgers and the service was good. Then in 2008 we moved across town and started going to the Beef’s on 43rd. Yeah… There’s a reason I’m giving this Beef’s two stars. First I’d like just ask, what the hell has happened in there? We’ve been through multiple line cooks. We’ve gotten food so fried it was inedible. We were told by one server that the night before that particular visit all the line cooks walked out so they had all new cooks in the kitchen and she apologized profusely for our completely messed up order. Everything is wrong about the Beef’s on 43rd. The food is horrible. It’s not even standard pub food anymore. But it could be the cooks because, from what we’ve been told over the last several months there are several new cooks in the kitchen. Between the food and the poor service I don’t know why we go back. It’s usually our last choice if we’re not in the mood for Northwest Grille, Chomps, Leonardo’s, Piesanos. But it’s like we end up getting punished for not going to the other places. The last visit, this past weekend, the server, bless her heart, couldn’t figure out my husband’s drink order of a strawberry lemonade. He pointed to it on the menu and said I’d like a strawberry lemonade. She was visibly unsure about the order and asked him if he wanted alcohol version. He said no, and pointed again at the virgin strawberry lemonade on the menu. She still seemed really uncertain about the order, confused even. She left and then came back because there were different types of syrup used and would he care for this syrup over that syrup and some other stuff meanwhile he just pointed at the picture and said whatever you use to make this strawberry lemonade is what I want. She kept asking him which syrup he wanted her to make the strawberry lemonade with and he finally said, «Stop. Please just give me a Grape Sprite». Which launched a lot more unnecessary commentary on the syrups and she had no problem fixing him a lemonade the way he wanted it. In the end he had to request the grape Sprite three times because she had yet to figure out that the strawberry lemonade noted and pictured in the menu is what he wanted and that he didn’t give a bum about syrups. He just wanted a cold drink! And so it goes at Beef’s on 43rd and has been going on for months now. It is loud — let’s have live music night and turn up the TVs too so everybody can hear both! The servers aren’t taking orders correctly and/or the cooks aren’t preparing them correctly. I’ve had to send my food back several times for being under cooked or over cooked or wrong altogether. I mean, if they don’t care anymore about that restaurant, seriously, time for new management and new staff. We’re not going back.

You have to take Beefs for what it is, a sports bar. The food isn’t going to wow you, but it’s good enough to go along with a few beers(the liquor prices are insane for the quantity, as they are at most places). The prices are fair for the food’s quality/quantity. I’ve also never had a problem with the service. My real beef, no pun intended, with the place are the bartenders(and this part of the review is for the men). Let’s be honest: Men go to sports bars to drink beer, maybe socialize/watch sports, and to flirt with attractive bartenders. Well, Beef’s falls short here. In the couple years I’ve been going to this location, I don’t think I’ve had a bartender that wasn’t…portly. Rotund. Some of them might try to say«curvy». Well their size of «curvy» and those tight little shorts do not an appetizer make. They’re friendly and all, they’ll remember what you drink, and it won’t stop me from going there. But good Heavens man, it’s a sports bar! Get some better talent back there.

The few times I’ve gone the food is poor. Feels like fast food gone bad. My coleslaw this past time was sour and tasted as if it went bad. It seems as though the food is an afterthought. Service was ok… seemed understaffed. Wait staff was nice but too busy to care. I would never recommend the food. Restaurant is not very clean and to packed together for a nice environment. Go somewhere else…

It’s Beef O’Brady’s. It’s a sports bar. It serves its purpose. Decent(bar) food and typical American(boring) beer selection, but it’s a weekly staple for my friends and I. The service is usually fast and always friendly. Too be fair, I haven’t tried a lot of their«dinner» platters as I usually go at lunch, but their wings are generally pretty good. I’m actually digging their semi-new tacos(yeah, that’s right, tacos). All they need now are some fried pickles. A boy can dream…

Mediocre bar food. Lots of TVs. So-so service. They kind of bumble around, spilling things and forgetting things and not clearing away empty plates.
