Beer is good, food sucks! Pick apps only as I have never had a good entrée here. And I question their food borne illness quality control

Food is always good, black cherry and vanilla cream sodas are great. Service is always ‘eh’, aside from one time I’ve been there it was either slow to get a server, very slow to get refills or just overall bad attitude. Will always return for the pazookies and pizza, steaks never great however.

Food is okay. Service is a bit slow. I will give it another shot possibly during happy hour.

Love this place! Love the ribs! And the beer selection. And that they let me try new beers before I decide on one or the other. And they do have separate menu for GF. Active atmosphere! Excellent for large groups.

Came in recently after having not been in for some time. Was quite disappointed to find that the menu had changed and many of my favorite items are no longer on the menu. I loved the corn fritters for an appetizer and my favorite main dishes were either the pesto chicken sandwich or their(i think it was called) California burger, served on sourdough toast, neither of which are on the menu now. We order their avocado eggrolls to start and 3 of the 6 were very burnt. I ordered the guacamole bacon burger which was the closest thing they had to my old favorite. The bun was terribly dry and the burger was overcooked. I hardly finished half of it. Service was friendly but slow. Not sure why, but they seated us on the far far end of the restaurant, the other half that is separated by a wall from the rest of the dining area. Only two other parties were seated there and I think being over there resulted in us being frequently forgotten. This used to be one of my favorite places in the area, but I don’t think I will be returning now.

After 3 years of dining at this location, had our first bad experience. Our family came out for my birthday. Apps were good. Time for entrees. Everyone’s entrees came out expect mine. Melissa the server explained someone took mine mistake. It was a steak and shrimp combo ordered RARE. She said another one would be out in 1 min. After 15 – 20 mins of waiting still no entrée. The«manager» brought my food out and said«well obviously it’s off the check.» Cut into the RARE steak mid-well to well. So I told her it was ok I didn’t want it. She just walked away. My mom in law said no bring him one Togo. If corporate BJs reads this my account name IPOKHAAN. This was supposed to be my happy 35 birthday dinner but fell way short. Thanks for the salad… at least yummy. Later Melissa brought out 3 birthday deserts.

Great selection of food. Was brought here for the first time on April fourth, for my birthday, and have been back times since then. EVERYTHINGISGOOD! Customer service is great. Of the things I’ve had that I love: –deep dish mini pizza with wedge salad –spaghetti with meatballs(meatballs were full of flavor!!) Got this twice lol. –buffalo chicken grilled cheese(this was a little tangy for me– don’t think the blue cheese was best to compliment it. Needed something to cut down on the tang, but still very good. My friend had it and loved it as is though). Highly recommend!

We end up going here a lot, and we do like it a LOT. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because when the food is cooked right, it is amazing, but it’s a toss-up on if it will be cooked right during that visit or not… my guess is that the kitchen staff is new and still working out the kinks with their people. I hope they get it figured out soon. Food: the dishes are all delicious, I haven’t had one yet that I didn’t like… except when I went back for it the second time and it was not cooked well. Some examples are fries that are soaked in grease(the grease was not hot when they cooked the food) or pizzas that are overly toasted on top(burnt veggies) or barely cooked dough. However, I love the atmosphere, both the bar and the main restaurant. It’s nice, yet you can feel right at home in shorts. The beer selection is huge, including their own brews(not made on-site). BJ’s is well known for their pizzas(fresh, thick, think Uno’s) and pizzookies(cookie cooked in a small pizza pot with delicious toppings and ice cream). Also, Monday’s are half-off pizzas(!), so we often get a pizza and pizzookies(might be spelling this wrong).

Stopped here for lunch and our party of 3 was quickly seated. The décor and atmosphere were very pleasing to the eye and I had high hopes. Our server Janett was stellar! She was efficient and checked on us at all the right times and always had refills in hand. We started with buffalo boneless wings and it was a little odd that the sauce was not mixed with the wings, instead it was in a container on the side. Our server realized we did not like that, so she quickly remedied the situation and took the wings back and had the kitchen toss them in the buffalo sauce(the menu does say the wings are tossed in your choice of flavors). Next, I ordered the classic burger and it was cooked to my liking. It was just so-so as it was a little too greasy for me and the poor bun didn’t have a chance. It comes with lettuce, tomato and pickles — but 8 pickles, really? Instead of the fries(which looked great as they have steak and skinny ones) I opted for a side salad. Unfortunately, this was the best part of my lunch. It had a good assortment of fresh crisp greens. There are other restaurants in the area I would try over this one next time, however, I will be back at some point to give them another shot as the menu is extensive and sometimes the kitchen is just having a bad day.

Ribs were great. Pizza had too much oregano. The service is probably the worst I have experienced in this area. Too bad, it is a cool restaurant with inexperienced workers.

This place has LOTS of options for food and drinks! My husband and I found this place and decided to give it a try. The beer menu alone is enough to make your head spin! We took about 5 min to try and decide what we wanted to drink. I was REALLY amazed that they had a seasonal pumpkin beer on tap — and a pint was only $ 3!!! The bar tender said they are still trying to get rid of it from the fall! Are you kidding me?! Who doesn’t love a good pumpkin beer??? I had 2 that night! :) For dinner I had the Seared Ahi Salad. It was pretty tasty. I wish they would have given me a few more slices of tuna, but the rice wine vinaigrette was on point and I love the pickled cucumber in the salad. For $ 15.75, I guess that price wasn’t too bad. The bowl of salad is rather large and I only ate about half the greens and definitely finished all my ahi tuna! I would want to try a different dish next time as the menu is HUGE! My husband had the full rack of ribs that came with 2 sides for $ 22.95. He got the clam chowder soup and thin cut fries. They brought out the soup first is a BIG bowl and once he ate that, he was full! The full rack of ribs was no joke! It was the whole plate and then some! I sampled a small bite and the sauce was delish! He said the ribs were very good and even took half of the rack home for leftovers. Our bartender, Julia, was very nice and friendly. I did use the bathroom which I found to be really clean and the air freshener smelled awesome! We went on a Monday night after 7pm so the place was very quiet. We will definitely be going back in the future! The only con I can see is that the menu is rather large and you will need several minutes to digest all the food and drink choices. The prices are a bit high, but the portions seem to make up for that(this is where the 4 stars comes into play — if the prices were a bit cheaper, I could give 5 stars). Overall, great experience! Cheers!

Al was an excellent server, attentive, and engaging, he made the experience a great one! We find BJs to be a consistent experience but Friday’s visit was exceptional. Even if you don’t like Brussels Sprouts, you must try the Honey Saracha Brussels Sprout, seasoned and flash fried crispy — delicious. And their seasonal Chocolate Ale — superb!

I’ve been to a few other BJ’s around the country, and this one is the same concept. Unfortunately, this one has horrendous service, and the food is forgettable. I’ve been to this location twice now, for lunch. Once with a friend and her daughter and most recently with my husband. My go-to at BJ’s for lunch is the unlimited soup and salad. The nice thing about their lunch deal, is that you can mix and match soup and salad and change up your choices on a refill, so if you want to taste the tomato soup, but decide to switch to chicken tortilla, all is okay in the world. On my lunch date with my friend a few months ago, I ordered my soup and salad, with a wedge salad no onions. The server responded that he was sure the salad didn’t come with onions. I disagreed and responded to him, that either way, I’d like it with no onions, so if it doesn’t come with it, great… if it does, please make sure they’re not there. He smiled. When the food runner brought out my salad, it was loaded with onions. The server never came back until the end of the meal– no refills or switches to soup or salad for me. I politely showed him my plate of onions that I picked off my salad and he said«oh, I’m sorry». On Friday, on my lunch date with the husband, the server asked me if I would like my soup or salad first, and I was cold, so responded that I’d like my soup first. 20 minutes goes by, and a food runner brings out my husbands pizza(which he said was just okay…) and my wedge salad. I asked about the soup that I was supposed to get first, and they were shocked that I never received it. The runner went back and got me a soup. I cut my wedge with no onions(which btw is my favorite salad) and realized that it was teeny. It seriously had like 4 pieces of lettuce in the wedge. But, since it’s unlimited, I just ordered another when I was ready. Unfortunately, it took forever to to get the second salad, which was properly sized, and the second cup of soup never arrived, either. Then both the server and a runner brought my soup, so now there were two on the table. My husband had a few bites and said it was okay… Here’ the thing. Soup and salad. How easy is that? That should absolutely be the quickest thing out of the kitchen, right!!! So, it shouldn’t be the thing that takes the longest to come out. All in all, the service leaves something to be desired here, and I’m sure I can find another place to indulge in my soup and salad cravings that puts a smile on my face.

My rating of two stars for this location, unfortunately, is due to the service at this location. I was here with a coworker on business and this was his recommendation, due to familiarity with the brand. Unfortunately, the experience here was not to expectations. Despite the restaurant appearing mostly empty(weekday night), it took a while between being seated and having a waiter come by. It appeared that there were not enough servers scheduled for even the relatively small turnout that night, but it lead to comments from my coworker regarding the service. The food itself was decent and not at a terrible price. The décor is also very upscale looking, reflecting the particular area this restaurant is in. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to make up for the issues we encountered. Some other reviews here mention the service — it seems inconsistent, so I think making improvements there would improve the overall experience tremendously.

Gave this place three tries before writing this review. The wait is quite long on the weekend and with such a big restaurant, I don’t know why we had to wait around 45 minutes… Anyways, service is typically ok but the food… The food is not. Everything I tried was either mediocre or bad. The pasta I tried was bland and I couldn’t finish half of it. The last time I went, I got the steak, thinking, you can’t go wrong with steak, right? I was wrong. BJ Brewhouse showed me that you can go wrong with steak in so many different levels. The meat was tough and hard to cut and it was really, really salty! The only thing I did finish was the cheddar mashed potatoes which was pretty good. I would probably only come here for pizookies… And maybe a beer. But food, never again.

Had drinks and appetizers here for a celebration and I loved this place. Food was good, drinks had a bit too much alcohol for me, but my friends had no complaints

Visiting friends in the area, we came here for lunch at their recommendation. My first question was«Is this restaurant part of the BJ’s Wholesale Club right next to it?» My friends laughed at me, but I was totally serious lol! Turns out the answer is no.(Duhh, right?) Wow! This place is definitely pleasing to the eye. Lots of space. Comfortable lighting. Quick seating. The impressive bar. Big screen TVs… everywhere! The menu was overwhelming! Everything looked great! Had we not spent the entire weekend partying, I just may have gotten an adult beverage, but it was a better idea that I just sipped water. I recommend the Crispy Fried Artichokes and the Crispy Calamari while you wait. Next time I go back, I want to try Chicken Wings and the Corn Fritters with Bacon Aioli. Oh! And the Stuffed Spinach Mushrooms! Now, I haven’t had a burger in months… I’m usually the one to hunt out a chicken sandwich or turkey burger, never with fries… but for whatever reason, BJ’s made me want one! And now! Seriously! So, I ordered the BJs Brewhouse Burger with Applewood Smoked Bacon and Cheese… and fries! Omg! I ate half of this thing before I even remembered to take a photo! Yes, my friends, it was that good. I will say, the waiter was kind of awkward. Usually I can get servers to loosen up a bit, but this guy was tough as nails! Good news is, he got our orders right. Not so much the checks at the end of the meal, but the food was right… and that’s all that matters, I think. I recently found out that there’s one not too far, right here in MD. Where the heck have I been?! Needless to say, I will be returning to BJ’s… whether it’s VA or MD, I’ll be back!
