Do not stay here, the rooms are dirty and there are bugs. The staff was unable to clean the room so we left!

our family was in town to visit our Gators this hotel is clean, quiet and fit the needs for our one night stay. The Patels were great hosts– the garden area by the pool was lovely place to enjoy the breakfast that is provided. Fresh fruit, cereal, pastry and coffee etc were all good for the family. we took a room on the second floor which was very easy to get to from the parking lot. I will stay here again. The beds are wonderful-we all slept well. Free wi-fi helped my kids catch up on homework and my husband could get his office work done at night. Good location

We have been in this hotel for a week now and truly are satisfied. They offer a modest breakfast daily. The best part by far… the beds! Like sleeping on a cloud. Hospital rates available but may need proof. Paul, the manager is very kind… great place to relax. Oh! Volleyball and a picnic area complete with grill is a good extra!

Upon discovering that my mother and I would be in Gainesville regularly, for the next few months, the proprietors of this HOJO-X were incredibly flexible and willing to work with us, providing not only a discount for families of VA-Hospital Patients, but extended-stay options, and more. The continental breakfast is a modest selection of cereal, coffee, tea, milk, juice, yogurt and bagels, but it hits the spot every morning and is accompanied by a very friendly member of the family behind the counter, and a morning paper. The staff is attentive, kind, always around, and always cheerful! The hotel itself is a 5 minute drive from the Gainesville campus, or a 6 minute bike ride. The rooms are clean, quiet, have a mini-fridge and microwave, and are«Motel-style,» enter from the outside. Room service is available, or not; the hotel offers the ability to have the towels changed, the beds made, or the linens changed, or any combination, in an effort to be greener. This appealed to the hippie in me, naturally. =) This will be the only hotel my mother and I stay in, for the next few months, as we regularly visit Gainesville for extended periods. Thank you! I don’t have access to the exact figures, but I’m fairly certain the rates hover right around $ 55 – 60, on days that don’t involve major University of Florida events, athletic or otherwise.

This hotel fit the bill after a football game. It was clean, quiet, and not super expensive. I liked the idea that I could go to the lobby and get a cup of tea when I want.

I’m not sure what it is about Gainesville, but hotels are super expensive! I’m talking the price for a 2 star hotel is like 80 – 100 bucks. We needed a place to sleep for the night, so while I was driving the man got online and tried to priceline a hotel, but seriously failed. So I was naming hotels off the top of my head and this one was the cheapest(not counting motel 6). It was(only) 66 bucks and was actually pretty decent. The room was clean, the traffic level was low, the noise was pretty much nonexistent. For a Friday night and after many hours in the car, I was very thankful for this hotel. They provide somewhat of a breakfast in the mornings. If I happen to be in Gainesville again and need a hotel, I’d no doubt put this at the top of my list if I didn’t want to spent mega money.
