The place looked decent from outside. Even the lobby looked OK. The front desk lady was friendly. We brought our dogs so our choices were limited since we didn’t have reservations. Our stay ended up being 59.00 + 10.00 for each of the dogs per night with the AAA discount. We thought it was a great deal until we went into the room. The first non smoking room reeked of smoke. When we signed in, it had a clause that if you smoke in a non smoking room, they’ll charge you $ 100+. Well, apparently the room next to us was a chain smoker and you can smell it in our room. The carpets were filthy and the chairs needed to be upholstered. They weren’t just worn, they were torn to the sponge layer. We couldn’t believe they had it in the rooms. The front desk lady was nice about changing our room. The second room didn’t smell like smoke but I stepped on a dying roach as soon as I stepped in. My fiancé said at least it was dying so they must spray for bugs. Gross. At this point, we were running late for an appointment so we had to make do. The carpet was filthy. The upholstery was torn on both chairs in this room so it’s apparently a theme here. The sheets and towels were clean. The flat screen TV worked. We were in the back area of the hotel and there were some sketchy things going on. Some man with a bicycle was standing on the top balcony for HOURS. Without going into too much details, let’s just say, out was very suspicious even to me who never noticed anything. Needless to say, we’re not staying here again. After seeing all this, I feel like we over paid for our stay.

This hotel is in desperate need of renovations. If you want to go back in time this is the perfect hotel for you. Bathroom was clean but very old and hot. Tv was from the 90’s. Room was clean. Bed didn’t have proper bedding, instead of the elastic sheet that goes on top of the mattress it was just a regular sheet, which turned out to be very uncomfortable while to rest after a 6 hour drive. Breakfast was ok but could improve a little.

Booked room for three nights to be close to Shands. First room had roaches, even crawling on the bed. Were moved to another room where the fridge didn’t work and the A.C. was incredibly loud. Moved yet again and finally got a livable room. Except the sink poured water out on the floor, the gap next to the A.C. that had newspaper jammed in it and the mold we found later in the bathroom. This place is in desperate need of renovation. It has tons of potential to be a prime location to stay if someone invested some $$$ in it. Poor representation of the Days Inn name.

Strange diagonal position of the toilet. Strange baby-powder smell in the room. Cool geometric pattern on bathroom tile. No sound on the T.V.

Grabbed this at the last moment and needed someplace close to the University. Got $ 50 a night for two nights, but afterwards wonder if it couldn’t be had for less. Overall, this place has a run down look about it. In the lobby there’s one of those phone booths built into the wall, like you used to see a long time ago, it helped me determine that the lobby was probably built in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Room we had was equipped with twin beds. The mattress was very comfortable and the bedding was fine. The bathroom was clean and minimally-equipped. The shower/bath was an old tiled type and the grout was clean. Some metal areas in the bathroom showed visible rusting but did not bother me. We did not detect mold or smell of mold in our room. There is a larger small refrigerator and a small microwave in the room. The air conditioner was a little noisy but not enough to be a problem when trying to sleep. There are scant electrical outlets in the room, owing to the age of the construction. Wireless service was available but very weak, via an unsecured connection. I did not eat breakfast but got coffee in the lobby early. Breakfast looked very modest: green bananas, pastries, etc. No eggs or better things. There is a large fenced pool, I would judge to be about thirty feet in length, but they had obviously not been keeping care of it because it had a green cast to it. Bushes on the property were also outsized and needing cutting back. Overall I would say this was an okay place to crash if in town to help your son or daughter set up at the university. Sleep quality was good and the bathroom was fine. Room was made up daily. Would skip the breakfasts(and pool!)

The motel was ugly, smelled moldy, and did not even have a ironing board and iron. When I called to request one, I had to go pick it up myself at the front desk. The ironing board I received was not a full standing one but a mini tabletop one, and had burn marks all the way through the cloth cover on it(see submitted business photo). My wife woke up to no hot water at 5:45am on her way to a graduate school interview. I was informed upon checkout that a gas leak nearby had caused the hot water outage, and that someone from the front desk contacted all occupants the previous night to offer them a switch of motels. We were not contacted, and no note was left on the door to try to get in touch with us. I was refunded a little less than half of the price I paid. Avoid this motel!
