I haven’t patronized this business, just contacted them via telephone a few times. Each time, Craig took time to answer my(newbie) questions and make recommendations when I asked for them. Because of that, I was able to remove and install a new hard-drive myself and get my computer up and running again. Although he may have lost a sale or repair charge, he gained a customer and good public relations.

Had a computer with a broken CPU on it. I had the new part, but got a little gun shy and didn’t really want foo with it(it was my fault the CPU broke in the first place). I stopped in and Craig gladly installed the new CPU for me and didn’t charge a thing for it. It was refreshing to actually see someone that wanted to be helpful… much appreciated! Next time anything tech related comes up – I’ll be giving Craig a call.

This place is a joke & a bunch of crooks! I took my laptop here for a quick diagnostic because it would no longer power on. After not hearing back from anyone for a few days I decided to go in person and inquire about the analysis. When I brought my work-order ticket in the employee behind the counter said it was not back in the workroom. «Uhhh, okay — what do you mean it’s ‘not there?!?’ I just brought it in 3 days ago» «It may have been moved to our Newberry location, try there»(I guess calling for me was too much to ask). I drove across town to the other location to speak to the manager — who told me he’d look into it and get back to me. …a few more days pass… I drive in again only to get another run around. After quite a few trips out of my way to go in person for some answers I FINALLY get the«real story»(or at least the one they told the police so they could commit insurance fraud or whatever scam they were trying to pull). Long story short, I guess an employee stole a bunch of laptops and disappeared. I kept getting the run-around for weeks before someone finally admitted their lack of control for other people’s property… and the only reason I even got the manager to cough it up was because I went to the police station on my own time and asked if anyone had filed a police report recently against this place. I had to do my own investigation and confront the business about it! …a few more weeks pass… I did everything short of actually taking this place to court. They never assumed liability, never really even took full blame, and never compensated me for MY property that was stolen while in THEIR possession… not even store credit for their absurdly overpriced merchandise. I was flat out robbed from Impact Computers. So much for customer service. I’ve been out of Gvil for a while now so I don’t even know if this place is still around, but if it is — please do yourself a favor and do not patronize this business… unless you want your property to mysteriously go missing and are SOL.
