I was dying to go here for a while, and looked up their working hours. The day I went, however, it was closed! It said it opens at 10, and I came at 1030! I came back an hour later and they were open, though.(I think that is a perk for a local business owner, to just come and go as you please. However, this makes for a very low degree of customer loyalty… something to chew on…) I walked in and noticed how small it was. I spent about an hour though scowering through their items, trying to find something for my birthday… a handmade sweater? Vintage skirt? Old school glassware? They had a lot of cool stuff here, but nothing that really made me want to spend money on. They had a few sweater with hand-knit accent on them, which were awesome, but not for $ 30-$ 40. I settled on an old hand knit granny-ish sweater for $ 6 that is very scratchy and I barely use. I just felt bad for being there so long and not buying anything. The owner is awesome though. He is very nice and talked to me for a good while when I was checking out, in a cool way, not an annoying/creepy way. I’d come back for the company, not the goods.

This is a fun and funky little place, with just enough of everything that it keeps your interest. Vintage lamps, records, clothes and tchockes inhabit two small bays in an interesting little strip shopping center(the diner next door is a gem) I have actually yet to buy anything here for myself(I have bought a couple of small gifts), but thats because I’m in clean out mode — selling my own vintage clothes, fabrics and whatnots on eBay — But thats not to say that I won’t find something in a visit that I cannot live without. UPDATE: Stopped in today and its even funkier. Added a star because its such a cool little shop. Plus, the Lovely Redhead found some cool funky shoes and a purse!

This is definitely not a department store, as the category states. It is more of a junk shop that carries some vintage clothing items. Their selection is very small, and they may want to take more advantage of the retail space that they are paying for. The location is great in what seems to be an up and coming area near Main Street. My favorite items that they had were the recycled and hand printed tees, but I definitely did not find anything that I was interested in purchasing.

Fun recycled shop with a twist;the owner does«redo» on everything from ties to aprons and the mix is fun and playful. I bought a working 1950’s Brownie camera for $ 10. cute kitch stuff.
