This is a really small hole in the wall place. It’s moved to a spot next to the Kmart. The chicken was good, but the rice was nothing to write home about. The egg roll was really good. There are like five tables in here, but it is so small that it is really crowded with people waiting for take away, and people trying to eat. Plus the place smells rather greasy(due to the fryers I imagine). Could definitely stand a bit more ventilation. I will probably be back, though because the food was much better than other similar places.

Maui is definitely one of my Gainesville staples. They recently moved to the location by K-Mart from the one on Tower Road, but from what I understand, it’s the same owners, same menu, etc. – just a different name and location. They still honor old coupons if you have any leftover! Onto the review itself: I’ve tried several different dishes here and every one has been absolutely delicious. My standard is a small white chicken bowl, which is always cooked to perfection with delicious veggies, fluffy white rice, and drenched in their irresistible teriyaki sauce! The salmon bowl is similarly delicious. Their egg rolls are nice and fat and stuffed with goodness, the fried plantains are to die for, and the Maui Burger is different, but incredibly delicious as well. Haven’t tried anything here that I don’t like. Service is always fast and friendly. Forever customer!

It was alright. Coming back from a road trip and popped in for some to-go. I had a chicken teriyaki power bowl — the chicken could have been higher quality. Sauce was pretty good and I like that this option is chock full of veggies. Make sure to get a side of sauce before leaving with your to go bag. My boyfriend had the Hawaiian burger and wasn’t impressed. I had a small bite — liked the grilled pineapple, bread was weird to me but he liked the bread. Chicken egg rolls were ok.
