This McDonald’s is routinely slow with service. I went inside tonight because usually the drive thru is so slow you could cook the burger and eat it yourself in the time it takes to get one here. Even inside, it is slow but I figured it might be better than the drive thru. Not only did it take forever for the order to arrive, it was COLD when I got it. I love Mcd’s, but I have to say the service overall over the past few years has dropped significantly over what I remember as a young adult. It is really inconvenient to have to wait and when you finally get your food, it is cold. Funny thing is that I know I am not the only one who is disappointed and we will all keep coming back because it is there and something is better than nothing…

Food is hot, which isn’t always the case with McD’s, but man are they slow. One time I was in the drive thru 15 minutes. Not that many cars — It just didn’t move.

This McDonald’s has the worst service ever. I always spend at least ten minutes in the drive thru, tonight was 25 and it’s worse when you go inside! What makes it even worse, is they do not even apologize for your wait!

Sadly this new McD’s is not up to par with the usual service. The drive thru is slow even at midnight hours. I work late shift and I pick up a snack 3 to 4 times a week around midnight. The average wait for my food is easily 12 minutes or so with only 3 cars in line! The other bad part is that they oddly do not accept credit cards after midnight, cash only? In not sure if this every night, but I don’t use cash as often but a credit card is a must. Note: the Haymarket McDonalds does accept credit cards at ALL times. I will stop going there, this is too repetitive and annoying 4 days later: I order a cheeseburger only and it took 13 minutes? Sucks this is the only place open after midnight.

Slow Slow Slow It took 10 mins just to get my food. The sad thing about this place they dropped a few sandwiches and had the guy in the back to re-wrap all the sandwiches that fell. Calling corporate in the morning l, maybe the health department.

Honestly, McDonald’s can’t really get any worse than this one. I’m not saying this because of one bad experience here… I live down the street, so I’ve definitely been here more than I should(keepin’ it real, peeps). Some highlights from my experience with this branch: — simply bailing on the drive-thru because I sat there for almost 10 minutes without moving AT. ALL. I hadn’t even made it to the order screen. — The fact that somehow no one here knows how to make an iced caramel mocha? No one! It’s a miracle if it comes out right. Don’t get me wrong, I know this is not Starbucks. But seriously, all I ask is that when it’s handed to me, it is iced and has both caramel and mocha in it. Is that really that complicated? One lady even lied to my face and said it had mocha in it when it was painfully obvious it didn’t — just so she could keep the line moving. — And my personal favorite(and the breaking point that led to this review): I handed my card to the girl at the payment window. She took it, I waited… and waited. The cars in front of me had moved on, so I just needed my card back so I could go pick up my food. I look over, and she is ONHERPHONE. She literally took my card, swiped it, and forgot I was there because she was texting her friends. No. Just no. So if you’re in the area, maybe try going to the Haymarket one instead. It’s not much better, but it’s certainly not worse than this.

Swear to God this is the slowest McDonald’s on planet earth you should not have time to fill out a Unilocal review while waiting in the drive up line

I have only been through the drive-thru at this location. Approximately 7 times now. Each time there is a long wait and the staff isn’t very friendly. I never understand why they never ask the cars to pull ahead in the waiting area for drive-thru only section?

Rude and have no clue what the numbers mean on the menu. If you come here make sure you have the time to explain their job to them. Worst McDonalds ever. DONOTGOTHERE!

NEVERNEVEREVER go to this McDonald’s the food there is disgusting! I had to wait about 20 mins for my food! After waiting for so long I got home and the fries tasted like SHIT!!! DISGUSTING! They were cold and had the fast of a lot of oil disgusting! The guy that helped me was laughing and having the conversation of his life with another co worker without letting me that it will take a while! By far the WORST experience ever! Ever since they open this place the service and the food have been unsatisfactory!

I’ve never really been a fan of this McDonalds but my son wanted to stop. The folks at the window never greet us or thank us for coming. More times then not our order isn’t correct and the buns are stale. I go back every time, this irritates the drive through window staff every single time. I will give credit to the fresh French fries we received this trip.

The worst mcdonalds i’ve ever had. And if you can’t do your job at mcdonalds than you should just kill yourself. The worst staff, every time i go in there they dont know what they are doing, very rude attitudes and food takes forever. Stick with the haymarket mcdonalds. They know whats up.

Great for a McDs. Clean and new interior with new styling that feels much more modern. Service was fast and friendly. And food was standard McDonalds quality.

Every time I’ve visited this location I have used the drive thru, so I will stick to that for this review. The service is usually pretty quick and my orders are always accurate. However there is one small downside to the drive thru here. It is a split drive thru, which means they have two drive up order stations. On occasion this has caused my wait to be longer because I chose to use the inside lane. For some reason people insist on being rude and will not comply with the typical zipper effect that should occur when two lanes are condensed into one. This has also resulted in my order having to be repeated for verification at each window. Naturally this can be frustrating, but I don’t blame the staff. Instead I consider this a combination of poor design and general inconsiderate-ness. My recommendation is that if you use the drive thru, use the outside order lane and be polite to others.

Ok it’s been 8 days since I last visited this McDonalds. Kept thinking this McDonalds burgers/food would improve a little. As I stated in my previous review, I know this is a fast food spot. Not expecting 5 star dining, but the burgers should be a little warm! My goodness. I got a small cheeseburger & still cold cold cold!!! What’s going on??? I guess this will«officially» be the last time I come here no matter how hungry or pressed for time I am. I rather starve then have a cold cheeseburger… :(

Things have improved here big time. This location opened less than a year ago. They’ve had some service issues through the drive-thru, 1) because it’s right off of busy 29; 2) they have 2-lanes of drive thru, which may slow the process; 3) because they had all-new staff members that needed to get trained up. The nearest McDonalds to this one is up in Haymarket, which is about 20-minutes west(with a 25 mph speed limit in some spots and speed traps, but hey this is VA, and speed traps are everywhere). That one has equivalent service. If you’re a McDonalds fan, like I am, this one is just fine — A-OK(3 stars on Unilocal!,which may look so-so on Unilocal!,but this isn’t fine dining — I think you’d be hard-pressed to find a 4 or 5 star McDonalds. I haven’t been inside, so I couldn’t comment on this experience. I went there is morning and was very happy. They now have a free-coffee promotion. I got the 2 breakfast burrito special, for a good price, very tasty. They even replaced a boy toy with a girl toy that I received at lesser McD’s in Warrenton, they are very friendly here and I will be back.

Stopped at this McDonald’s near 29& I-66 at lunch time on the way down to Cville. When we walked in, we were overcome by how fancy it looked. It was giant with electronic menus and couches, etc. However, this is not too useful if the service is poor. Despite there being just 2 people in front of us in line, it took over 5 minutes to order, as the cash register sat unmanned. Speed is basically the #1 thing to review McDonald’s on, and they weren’t even trying. Kim H. wanted an iced coffee with skim milk… but was told if she wanted skim milk in her coffee, she needed to order a latte of some sort. This is very strange, but she did so and received some sort of mixture of half sugar and half milk. The menu is also confusing. It’s cool that it’s electronic and all, but things keep shifting and flashing and I just want to see what’s on the dollar menu and that’s harder than it should be. The good news: The McChicken is on point as always.

Hit the new McDonald’s in Gainesville, VA this morning for breakfast. Had the usual — Sausage, Egg, & Cheese McMuffin and a hash brown, plus a bottle of water. The interior of this place is odd — very cramped. IMHO — they’ve opted for to much seating — one aisle is crowded with these little chairs. For a new Mickey D’s — you’d think they’d be better staffed. This morning there was a period of time where there was only one register open, and the line was snaking back through the dining room. They finally brought a second cashier up(there are only three registers total). Food was hot and came up quickly. I’m docking them at least a star for the weird dining area and the service issue.
