Well, it’s hard to review a place, that was closed during the time it said it is open. My child saw the place and ice-cream on a hot day sounded too good to pass up. Noticing the time I said, let’s wait 5 minutes till they open at 12:00. So we waited and waited and waited. It was 12:15 and there was no movement inside of the store, nobody was putting out toppings, opening the door. So we left frustrated. There was no explanation on the door, why they maybe closed either.

My 4 year old daughter is an ice cream fanatic and was very much looking forward to giving this place a try. We ventured out on an «ice cream date» today — she marched right up to the door and found it locked. The sign says open Sunday 12 – 9. There was no additional sign on the door indicating that hours had changed. Not sure if they too have gone out of business. Definitely give them a call before making the trip up there!

Being new to the area, we like to try everything we see. This is a very family friendly place and my boys’(7&9) new favorite spot. The froyo is super creamy and there is a good variety of toppings. Between the three us, we’ve gotten Oreo, Kit Kat, Swedish Fish, gummies, cheesecake, brownies and Frosted Flakes for toppings, and none were stale. The owner and staff are very friendly.

I’ve been back to Rock N Berry about a half dozen more times recently. What can I say, I have a sweet tooth! Anyways, I’ve come to like it a lot more. I’ve tried a bunch more of their flavors, and the only one I didn’t like was the Madagascar Vanilla, which tasted a bit… off. The Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel is really good. I have to give it props for being inexpensive, at least in my perception. I usually spend about 7 bucks for 2 froyos with all the fixings. The only negative thing I would say is to stay away from any toppings that can potentially go stale(oreos, cookies, etc), as they have a tendency to BE stale. Peanut butter cups is my go-to topping, and they also have crumbles of most popular candy bars — those are good choices.

I am a froyo junkie. I finally decided to swing by this place, which is in a spot where previous dessert places have failed. I walked in and loved the atmosphere — has a cool vibe. The kids behind the counter greeted me and I walked back to the yogurt. The containers are standard styrofoam cups and only come in two sizes. There’s not many flavors to choose from, and not all the machines were even working. I settled on the Cake Batter. It was good. The topping bar was disappointing. A lot of the toppings were low or out, and one was even candy cane… which would be cool if it was December, but it’s almost Spring. I just got some sprinkles and headed toward the cash register. The froyo is 46-cents per ounce. My total was $ 2.69. I handed the girl my credit card. Now at any other froyo place, you give them your card, they swipe it, the end. Not here. You have to sign the receipt. That annoyed me. But not only do you have to sign, you have to look at the size 20 font that says TIP and TOTAL. I thought about leaving it blank, but then realized they could write in whatever they wanted! So I relentlessly left a tip. It was nice to try out — they have potential. But my favorite FroYo place has better toppings, better froyo, and a rewards program.

Rock n Berry just opened in Madison Crescent several weeks ago. Same store front of the previous two ice cream stores, but different owners. Like many of the recently exploding FroYo locations, it is self serve, 6 machine(12 flavors) and a toppings bar. while there is a more limited selection of toppings compared to some of the national brands, all of the key items are there. Priced at $.47/oz, it is a touch pricier than other sellers. However, and this is a big however, two key things; the FroYo is much smoother in consistency then Sweet Frog, with much more robust flavor. I loved the Triple Chocolate. The texture really made it very«ice creamy». The kids at the counter were attentive and friendly, a plus. This is going to be the place where the sweet craving gets fixed for me. Well located at 29 and 15, it will be hard to drive past.
