Yes, the food is good and fresh — but? why? Did they change the name? I’d prefer not to pay to eat somewhere with the word«pecker» in the name. I think if someone asked me here on a first date I’d be offended. It’s hard to look the check out girl in the eye, knowing she’s gonna break her mother’s heart one day by saying, «I made my way through college, working at the Root & Pecker.» I shouldn’t complain — judging from the sign, I guess they could’ve gone with«The Root & Cock.» Food seems very similar to what they had before, pricey but tastes fresh. The smoothies are VERY pricey for the little bit you get. I don’t mind the size but would be nice if they were cheaper. Their bacon is good, cooked crispy — I recommend anything with their bacon on it, especially the sandwich with goat cheese.

I would like to clarify something regarding the response to Sara G’s previous comment, as the owner is trying to discredit our experience. My wife and I were planning on using Cymplify’s venue for our rehearsal dinner on Friday, March 4th. We met with the event coordinator and owner well in advance to lock in the date. During the meeting, I provided a detailed menu for the event and was told that we would receive a quote within a couple of days. At no point did we state that the rehearsal was on the second Friday of the month.(I even wrote the day of the event on every email subject line). Despite our emails and phone calls, we didn’t receive the emailed quote until 2 weeks later. My wife and I expressed great interest in renting the space, and were absolutely strung along that the date would be fine. Thirty days before the wedding, we received a phone call stating that they could no longer provide the room due to the Food Truck Rally — leaving us in a scramble to find a space to accommodate our guests. If the venue has been hosting the rally for three years, this information should of been provided during our meeting. After an insincere apology, Cymplify did offer to accommodate us for Thursday, March 3. However, if you could understand, that telling our 50 guests to adjust their travel arrangements thirty days before the wedding was not an option. So let’s review: We gave clear instructions of the date and scale of our event, communicating in person, through email and by phone. A detailed menu was provided at the time of meeting, with the intention of receiving a faster quote. We were informed that the date would be fine, but there was an extreme delay. And later, received very short notice that the space was no longer available. You take your events«very seriously», indeed. Deplorable customer service and perhaps the worst part, the lack of common courtesy. —the owner’s previous post— 3÷8÷2016 There was a miss communication as to the date. My events coordinator was thinking that it their event was on the second Friday of the month when in fact it was the first Friday. We have a regularly schedule event on every first Friday of the month that completely shuts down our property(First Friday Food Truck Rally). This has been going on for over three years now. It would have been impossible for us to host the event. No one was strung along, customer was notified with 5 weeks of notice(only one day after receiving their confirmation to use us for their event). In addition we had only been communicating details for 3 weeks at that point. We apologized profusely and tried to make this right by offering the space free of charge for the day before their requested date. I guess that was not enough. We take all event plans very seriously and never intended to for this to happen.

Delicious! Fresh! And must return! I ordered the California Club, which was super tasty and flavorful, with a side of nachos. Loved the pina colata smoothie which was refreshing. Fiancé ordered the Gourmet Farmer sandwich, which was super tasty. I would suggest they use arugula instead of romaine lettuce to balance the sweet flavors with a slight bite/spice. Can’t wait to return and try their other items!

Ordered the full Simply Veggie. 2 pieces of bread, lettuce, tomato, etc. Over 8 bucks. Grossly overcharged! Beware…

Be very weary of renting out the private room next door to the café. They will string you along like everything is great and set to go, then tell you last minute you can’t use the space. Very unprofessional.

We stopped here on our way to South Florida. The food was really good. I had the Thai tomato soup, a California Club and a green smoothie. Everything was very good. Service was good too. Will definitely come back next time we are near by.

Fresh salad, scrumptious Thai Tomato soup and gluten free side of bread. This is the food I love. Weather you are vegan or meat eater, the food is fresh and healthy. Surrounded by an organic farm. Really nice place to relax. Informal atmosphere, wear your shorts and be comfortable. Be sure to give at the tip jar.

Best food in Gainesville hands down. Everything I have had here has been fresh and full of flavor. Today I had the chicken club with a cup of Thai Tomato soup. The soup was a perfect match of Thai flavor a and a traditional tomato soup. The chicken club is fresh with candied bacon and perfectly cooked chicken breast. If you are looking for a modestly priced place to eat with a nice relaxed environment this is your place.

Delicious, fresh local food! Vegan and vegetarian options! I like the big size of the tables and the selection of drinks(homemade almond milk was fab) so I would definitely come here to spend an afternoon studying. There’s a garden out front too, so it doesn’t get fresher than that. I already like this place, but I’m curious to see what they’re going to do with their rebranding.

THE place in Gainesville to get a fresh, locally sourced sandwich, salad, coffee, etc. On their specials board, they had a Gourmet Farmer’s sandwich. I asked if they could make it a salad and add chicken for me, and my request was happily accommodated. I have to say, with the carmelized onions, goat cheese and candied bacon, this had to be the absolute best salad I have ever had! The white balsamic vinaigrette gave it the perfect finish! Their club sandwich, chicken salad and homemade baked goods are all wonderful as well!

My favorite thing about comply fresh is the amazing outside seating! With multiple benches and tables with shade, this is the perfect place on a nice sunny day. To eat we got the green smoothie which was good, pretty much exactly what you would expect from a green smoothie. The chicken salad salad which was also pretty much just what you would expect, very fresh but the chicken salad was under seasoned and didn’t have much flavor. And also the chicken club sandwich which was also under seasoned but the toasty bread, candied bacon, and guac was very yummy. Overall would definitely come back because the outdoor seating is so nice but not as crazy about the food!

Oh my goodness I was so happy while eating that California club. The guac, mmm. The candied bacon, amazing. The fresh produce, so nice. The only issue is I wanted more. I’m not even a sandwich type of person but in there I am! The smoothies are REAL smoothies, not the kind you get from these popular franchises. Very good. Just be aware that a small there is not like a small anywhere else. The small is more like a kid’s cup. The potatoes that came with the brunch dish were soooooo yummy. It’s hard to find good, seasoned potatoes like that but they did it perfectly. I wish the prices were more affordable but I know they are serving wholesome quality so I’m still going back as a(not so) guilty pleasure.

Finally got an afternoon free to try this highly recommended café. Very Happy and even better than advertised. Really delicious, and good for you! It seems a lot like Panera in quality and offering, but locally owned by small business. Someone is creating great combinations in his own kitchen, then offering it to the public. AND, he’s got a great flair for it, too! This is waaay better than I can do at home… and I only got a sandwich! Choice of eating inside in a nice open café or outside on picnic tables, well off the road for quiet and good green scenery. (there is a nursery in the same open area) Excellent and friendly service. Really really good, probably better than Panera; I am only giving 4 stars(for now) as the price is a little high, but really I can understand this. Everything is individually(and probably locally) sourced. I’ll have to save this place for special occasion or a once in a while treat. Great place to hang out… music on weekends, truck rally every once in a while, and a coffee bar/bakery on the premises. WTF, my mouth is watering too much thinking of the next time… I’ll give that 5th star…

After having my mother meet with me at the coffeeshop next door, we had decided to grab lunch here as I was hungry for something fresh and simple that wouldn’t leave me feeling sluggish for the rest of the day as I had to drive back to Tampa in a few hours afterwards. My mother and I decided to go with their«Super Nachos» and a waldorf salad. We shared them together and my mother isn’t as used to this kind of «invention» as I am but she was floored and devoured every last bit with me. The employees were very friendly and explained a lot of things about our meals as I said, my mother isn’t used to this kind of vegan/gluten free movement. The Super Nachos were phenomenal as it’s made with homemade(I think) flaxseed crackers, mock bean paté(walnuts), nacho cheese(cashews), guacamole & salsa, and I think I saw some raw broccoli florets on there, too which made it even more heavenly. Of course, I saw my mother’s face, but as soon as she had the first bite, she was happily interested in it and considered on finding out more about where she could get the flaxseed crackers. The Waldorf salad was so crisp and fresh. It came with romaine, spinach, roasted red peppers, dates, candied walnuts, red grapes, citrus, apples, and the side of honey mustard dressing. We both finished both plates. Now, this may come off as a VEGAN/VEGETARIAN restaurant but you can order add ons of meat, either Chicken or Bacon. We didn’t do this as I wasn’t in the mood to eat meat that day. I highly recommend this place as it was not expensive and very fresh! Eat local!

For the past month I have been wanting to try out their new pizzas. Last night my family and I finally made it there and it was unfortunately a disappointment. After stalking the pizza menu and photos on the Cymply Fresh Facebook page, we were excited. Being vegan, I was excited they offered a vegan pie and we planned on ordering the Cheese Louise with only mozzarella for our 3 year old daughter. When we arrived there was no one else inside and only two other tables with patrons sitting outside. I went up to the counter and ordered my daughter’s pizza first. I requested the Cheese Louise with only mozzarella. I was then directed to the bottom of the chalk board menu where it says«No substitutions». Well, that was not on the Facebook page menu posted just hours before. If I would have known, I could have planned accordingly and left our daughter with a sitter. The girl at the counter wasn’t exactly friendly about my questioning of this. I asked if they could at least leave the basil off. I was told no. My daughter is 3. She is not yet a connoisseur of cheeses and would definitely freak out if there was something green(basil) on her cheese pizza. Are the pizzas not made fresh? I don’t understand why I couldn’t get just one simple cheese on a pizza. It made me wonder if they’re made ahead of time and then just tossed in the oven after ordered. If I’m going to pay a premium price for pizza, I want it made fresh. After waffling for a moment, my husband and I decide to order our vegan pie and find something else for our little one to eat. I walked through to their store/ice cream shop. Nothing but ice cream and sodas, great. So while my husband sat and waited for our pizza I drove somewhere else to pick up dinner for our daughter. How aggravating. When I returned from another restaurant with my daughter’s dinner, our pizza had just arrived. It looked appetizing and despite the severe aggravation, I was excited to take a bite. The taste was good, but it was a bit soggy, as you can see in my photos. I feel $ 14 is a little high for soggy vegan pizza that didn’t even come with vegan ricotta on top. I’ve had pretty good experiences with Cymply Fresh otherwise, but the pizza experience was a bummer. Maybe if they jazzed up the vegan pie with tempeh or cashew ricotta and added a simple kid’s pie to the menu we would give pizza night another go.

I crave lunch from Cymply Fresh pretty frequently. My fiancé and I have been going to CYM Coffee since we arrived in Gainesville in 2013, and I was ecstatic when Cymply Fresh opened… I was even happier when we discovered they would start serving bottomless brunch on Sundays! Our favorite meals there include the raw burger, the chicken salad sandwich and, of course, the Not-So-Classic BLT. Their cashew aioli is fantastic. And did I mention their candied bacon? You’ll never want regular bacon again. Love the ambience of the location, their service and the live music on the weekends. Can’t wait to try their new pizzas. Highly recommend all things Cymplify for a truly local, unique and fun experience.

Two thumbs up for the addition of pizzas! My husband and I shared The Full Circle — pork sausage, fior di latte, provolone, pickled onions, provolone, mozzarella, citrus apples, and housemade sauce. It was delicious! My lunch favorite is the chicken salad sandwich with a side of the broccoli salad although everything else I’ve tried here has also been super yummy.

I finally got around to trying Cymply and was very impressed. Their space is far larger than I expected and is connected to a retail store selling T-shirts, jewelry, and gifts plus ice cream and the entire interior is clean and feels welcoming and fresh. The staff is also very welcoming and good at explaining the menu and ethos behind their café, which I much appreciated. As for the food, overall very impressive and tasty. The concept behind Cymply is a farm-to-table model using as fresh and as local produce and meat as possible. They have some vegetarian options and some with meat, including chicken and bacon. My California club sandwich was very good and overall, despite the bacon on it, fairly healthy. I also had one of their smoothies and it was great. They appear only to have two smoothie options: a tropical fruit one which I had and a green one with kale in it. Neither have added sugar and both use all fresh(and local) fruit and vegetables. I have smoothies nearly every day from Tropical Smoothie or somewhere, and the difference in taste in this smoothie was quite clear: while not bitter or sour it wasn’t overpowered by sugar, either, and the freshness was evident. The prices in contrast to serving size(which is fairly small) may seem steep but local and organic aren’t cheap, either.

Tonight, I went to the soft opening of the Cymplify Fresh. With their new wood stone oven acquisition, they will be extending their hours and the menu. From my understanding, the prices of the pizza will range from $ 12 – 18 which is not bad considering they use the best quality ingredients. I’m not a food critic(I just play one on social medias) but this is the one of the best thin pizzas I have ever had since my studies in Italy. While I remember the Italian pizza melting in my mouth, Cymplify pizza is crispier with a bit of crunch throughout the whole slice. I love that. Do not get it twisted, I find both of them equal in their own perfection. I believe Cymplify uses sour dough for their crust. If you have a chance, you should check them out. My favorite is a toss up(of course, it’s intended) between the Orange & Blue(Chicken, Gorgonzola Cheese, Hot sauce, cinnamon and sliced celeries) and the yet-to-be-named Pork with Granny Smith apple and pickled red onions!(I’m suggesting Porky Sour). They also have other scrumptious items like their BLT(with Candied Bacon!) and Chicken Salad sandwich. They use organic produce and the healthiest of meats. It’s very casual, almost cafeteria-like style and situated in a charming, cozy, community of Cymplify shopkeepers including a retail store, nursery, an ice cream parlor and a coffeehouse.(The London Fog is excellent) Very peaceful, spacious outdoor seating and they welcome pets. They also, sometimes, host live bands and food truck rallies. It’s my understanding that some of the proceeds during the food truck rallies goes to local farmers but you should have that confirmed.
