Messed up my sides completely. Also the person that I was recommended to go see was free and just sitting down and even after I asked she had me go to someone else. Mind you I even called ahead and asked for her specifically and she said she was working and free. I showed up maybe 5 minutes after I called.

I’ve been going to see Ha now for probably five years. I have NEVER gotten a better haircut and good customer service. So much, that I have convinced my son to join the ranks. He loves the hot towel at the end. It’s a best value.

It is hard to find a good barber shop in NOVA. Ha and the crew do a wonderful job and I recommend you check them out.

Came in as a new walk-​in to fix mistakes from a haircut from another barber shop; my buzz cut was crowned and not straight up as I had requested. I sat down but another customer was already waiting but insisted that he’d wait for Ha. I sat down in Nguyen’s chair and stated that I just needed to straighten/​tighten buzz cut on the sides and back. When she was about done, she hands me a hand mirror and asks me if everything is ok. Looked and clearly see my left side has horizontal ripples and right side was faded at a different angle. Told her the mistakes that I see and she did try to fix them. After having to point out mistakes twice to her, I simply accepted that this was a bad haircut. Nguyen even stated that is all she could do. What?
There was no one else waiting but I felt rushed from the start.
On a positive note, noticed Gino skillfully shave His customer with a straight razor.

I get my hair cut twice a month, so I’m here pretty often. I think I’m a «regular» now. They always do a great job with whatever I ask for and I still love the hot towel rubdown.

On the tail end of a bad customer service experience at a different barbershop, I headed to the Famous Barber Shop about 10 minutes before they closed on a Saturday evening. The lady was locking the door, but had customers inside in the barber chairs. She saw me and I asked her if she was closed, and she said yes, but «come in». That was the great customer service indication that I needed. Since then (October) I’ve been a loyal customer. My haircuts have always been good, but I’m rating them as very good because of their customer service, combined with their cuts, and their price, which is better than average.

I have been going here for a few years now to get my haircut on a recommendation from a friend. Great service for not a lot of money everytime.

The owner is one of the barbers named HA. I have been following her around for 6 years now when she worked for other people. She does an amazing job and takes true pride in what she does.
When she opened this location herself I was very proud her and have enjoyed going there on a regular basis. My wife and I moved to Tyson’s Corner, VA from Manassas and I still drive all the way out here just to have her cut my hair. It is worth the traffic and congestion just to have her handle it.
My wife and I are now moving to Texas with my work so I will no longer get to have this outstanding barber cut my hair. Which BTW I have a flat top and she is the best on the east coast. She can cut a flat top free hand perfectly!!!
We will miss visiting and if I am ever back in the area for business I will absolutely take the drive out to see HA and her shop. If you get the chance to visit please do so. She and her team work very hard and provide a great service.

Hot towel what rub down is a nice touch. I went when it wasn’t busty so barber spent some time doing a really fine job. Very small place but it works for me. I stopped going to Haymarket barber shop for now, because not too happy with some of the barbers there.

The only place I’ll go to in the area. Good price ($ 12) and includes free popcorn/​drink, a scalp massage, and a hot towel (best part of the whole deal). Just make sure you have cash since they don’t accept check or CC. Highly recommended.

we’ve been going here since it opened after finding it via coupon in the local paper. One of the barbers used to work at the American Barber Shop at Atlas Walk.
$ 10 for kids, $ 12 for adults, free soda/​juice/​water, popcorn, and lollipops for the kids. Straight razor trim and a hot towel for the dads. This is now our regular place for cuts.

Best $ 10 haircuts in the Gainesville area, staff is friendly and nice, I’ve been three times and had a haircut by each barber since they opened. They have all done a great job cutting my hair to my request and spend the time to do a nice job, not just a rush cut like so many other places. The real razor neck shave and hot towel make all the difference to me. They definitely beat those cuttery places, so this is my new stop for haircuts in the area!

I went in here the other day for some help. I recently had surgery on my left elbow and due to the fact that I have to restrict movement of my arm and be very careful with it — it’s hard to do mundane, everyday tasks — such as shaving, trimming the beard and mustache — and so forth. So I stopped in for a beard and mustache trim — and a face and neck shave.
I’ve never had my face shaved with a straight razor before. The whole process is enjoyable — they tilt you back in a chair, slap some substance on your skin, then place a very hot towel on your neck and face for a minute or so, then lather you up — then shave time.
I did not catch the names of the two gentleman and the one woman working the shop that day — the woman trimmed my beard and mustache and shaved the back of my neck, then transferred me to one of the guys for the main shave. Both guys sounded like they had Western European/​Mediterannean accents — but I could be wrong! :-)
