Moving from Gainesville this week, I will be back a couple times just to catch up for what I missed out on.

Great local hipster and vegetarian friendly restaurant. The service is always friendly and helpful. The inside is cool but I prefer the outside area because there is live music sometimes and the restaurant is dog friendly if you’re outside. They have their own parking lot which is clutch considering many restaurants in the downtown area do not have this perk. The wraps are good– I like the curry and falafel wraps. Their handcut fries are delicious and not too greasy! Definitely give this local restaurant a try.

A great location but an uninspired meal. The panini never saw a press and the flavor didn’t come together. The fruit salad was not fresh. My son loved his French toast. Other dishes included the Carbonara and a burger and they were all average. I loved the original Jones But the b-side and its service staff was bleh.

One of my favorite brunch places. Everything is great — couple of my faves are the huevos rancheros and the pancakes. They also have a monte christo sandwich that’s out of this world. The Jones also has a bunch of vegan options so you’re sure to please everyone!

I came here the other night just for a cocktail and got the tea time for one. It was delicious but had egg white in it and within about 2 hours I was very sick and repeatedly throwing up. Not sure if the eggs were not fresh or the drink was incorrectly shaken but would definitely be wary as to not order any of the drinks with egg white!!!

THISPLACE! As a vegan it’s not always easy to find food options, let alone amazing ones. My fiancé and I literally came for dinner one night and breakfast the next morning it was THAT good. Everything is so fresh and well crafted. The people are so welcoming and accommodating. I just kept eating more food even though I was overly full because I didn’t want the party to stop. The vegan chocolate cake is literally the best cake I’ve ever had in my life. Vegan or not.

Cool atmosphere, hipster. Have many vegan, vegetarian options. Breakfast all day! The portions are humongous for the reasonable prices. Delicious! saw many empty plates. It was full of people but didn’t feel overcrowded. The service was outstanding and perfect! Offered everything I could think of. Even lemon and honey for my organic green tea, which came in a little kettle, so cute!

Awesome farm to table restaurant! Try the inca bowl or any of the specials. Oh and the flax seed pancakes with blueberries and pure maple syrup is to die for! Great servers

Oh The Jones… I’m sorry I have to do this but unfortunately you need to get your act together. You have a great location and your restaurant has great potential! But your food is terrible. Last time I visited for breakfast, I had to throw away half of my pancakes because they were dry and flavorless. Last time I went for dinner, I couldn’t finish my chimichanga because the meat was super dry and the rice and beans seemed like they were a week old. I really wish this is all I had to say about The Jones. It’s not. They completely failed their last health inspection. If a health inspector shows up and is able to find cockroaches on cutting tables and inside drawers(we’re talking 20 – 25 roaches), it means the restaurant’s workers have been seeing them and not speaking up about it for a while. Not sure I can trust a team that is so lax about their workplace cleanliness with the food that goes on my plate. The Jones, I say this from the bottom of my heart, get it together! I’ll keep visiting maybe once or twice a year, hoping to find you in a better state.

They have a great menu and everything is really delicious, like the best around but… someone in the back hasn’t been washing their hands correctly. I have been here 3 times and gotten some form of food poisoning every single time. If you like vomiting or getting diarrhea then this is for you. Not for me, no matter how tasty.

Hubby and I eat at B-Side quite often. Aside from really good food, they’re open late. They have daily specials, which hubby usually orders, while I usually stick to my regular menu favorites. We almost always start off with a Jones Salad with tahini ginger dressing.(The small is enough for the two of us.) Hubby is a big fan of the shrimp and grits on the regular menu, while I prefer the shiitake mushroom chicken or chicken club sandwich. They make a decent burger, they have vegan items, and even have a small breakfast menu served all day. Sometimes you just need pancakes for dinner! They make excellent craft cocktails and change up their cocktail specials frequently. So be daring and try something new. The staff are all super friendly and the service is quick. They have outside seating as well.

After a two year hiatus, I started eating here again… a lot! I don’t know if management changed or what, but the restaurant has gotten a lot better. The menu has a wide variety AND they serve breakfast all day long! When my family goes out for a meal we have to please a vegan, a carnivore and a young child. The Jones B Side is one of the few places that has us all covered! The employees are pretty friendly and they know their menu well. They’re also good about offering substitutions if certain items are unavailable. If you go for weekend breakfast/brunch, it can be a pretty lengthy wait, so be forewarned and call ahead about the wait time if you’re already starving! Good menu, lots of locally sourced ingredients and good service –I’m back on board.

This was an unexpected and fantastic surprise as my friends gathered here for a post-wedding impromptu happy hour and celebrations that turned into a lengthy drinks and dining experience. The servers and bar staff were not only attentive to our needs, but so understanding as we requested separate checks for our very large party. The food and service is some of the best I have ever experienced in Gainesville, including the six years I called it home as an undergrad and young professional. The food is not only skillfully crafted, but comes out the of the kitchen quickly which was surprising considering the large number of folks in our party. Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and the special and could easily answer our complicated questions and concerns about items unknown. The price/value ratio is not only solid but very competitive considering the downtown area location. They carry local beers from both Swamphead and First Magnitude Breweries, so if you can’t make it to the source, this Jones B-Side is the next best place to drink like a local! I ordered the Cherry Blossom Martini which was carefully and lovingly crafted. There was no stinginess with regard to the pour either. If you want to find a place for Poutine in the South that isn’t overrun by Canadian Snowbirds… This. Is. THE. Place. As a half-Canadian, I was quite impressed with their ability to reconstruct one of my childhood favorites, as well as offering a vegetarian version for those uncomfortable with meat-based gravy. When I visit Gainesville, this is a place which will be one of my regular stops.

The bloody Mary’s here are perfect! I live in New York City and this is honesty one of the best bloody Mary’s I’ve had! The service wasn’t okay, but extremely slow. The food was alright. My friend asked for light beans in her bowl, but we’re pretty sure they dumped an entire can in their. Same with my rancheros, aside from sour cream all I could taste was beans. The French toast and salmon omelette tasted delicious! I appreciated the constant refills. Being an outsider, I appreciated the Brooklyness of the menu and atmosphere here. If I’m back at UF, I’ll be back here for a Bloody Mary.

11.95 for 2 eggs, 2 pieces bacon, 4 oz. soup, and 1 biscuit split in two with enough gravy for only one half. Service had the memory span of a goldfish Probably still in business because of its hip atmosphere and music choice. Improve or just let it die please I’m a server myself. I’m not demanding. But this was just shitty

Ventured to The Jones B for an early dinner before a Friday evening fiction reading at UF. A big fat sleepy fly decided to join-in at the window sill next to us. Yuk!!: Had to grab it with a napkin, then went looking for a trash can to put it to rest. I returned to the table and was having second thoughts about being there altogether when the waitress came along for our order. It was to late for a subtle exit so I quickly decided on the chicken club and my sidekick ordered the burger(medium) with a side of mashies. The smashed potatoes were excellent but the burger was decidedly overdone and chewy, and my club on sourdough(like melba toast), was really dry and tasteless. Had to keep gulping water to wash the thing down. Guess the joint has turned to the greasy American fare side and is not that clean anymore. Jones B used to be a good place to eat. Not so lately.

Ok, the good first: went for brunch on a Sunday and it was surprisingly un-crowded(given that it was a football weekend.) Menu choices were so interesting and appealing that we could not decide what to have so the three of us ordered different things in order to share. Food was prepared well and portions were decent(though the grits portion was huge.) Hubby had a bloody mary and the glass he was served in(which he discovered after a few sips) had a chunk out of the top. He asked for it to be replaced — they just poured into another glass.(Not cool; the glass could potentially be in the drink.) We must have had the same expressionless, personality-less server as others have mentioned. Poor thing looked just miserable to be working on a Sunday morning and gave service to match. I mean at least she got to wear her own eclectic outfit with a blouse held together with a safety pin so it’s not as if there was some uniform tyranny by the man holding her back… Anyhow, service was poor but we tried to overlook it. So the funny thing is that later in the meal server offers hubby another drink, which he takes… only to be served in the SAME chipped pint glass that he had on the first round. So in short — food good, prices a wee bit high, service poor, and attention to detail a bit lacking.

Used to hit this place daily every other day. Food at one time was on point. Now food quality has fallen off and service is hit or miss. Sat for 15 minutes before I had to go and find someone for my self and the 6 other customers that were wondering where the staff was. Staff doesn’t seem to care Owner def didn’t seem to care.

My first visit to Jones B-side was great! I had the shrimp and grits. So I decided to take my husband for my second visit. For appetizer we got the poutine fries with chicken gravy, which was heavily salted. I ordered the shrimp and grits for dinner(again) and was disappointed this time around. Grits didn’t have the right consistency and it lacked shrimp. My husband got the chimichanga, it was much bigger than expected but the flavor was decent. Overall the food was average at best.

First things first: The Jones was able to accommodate our party of 10 on a Saturay night at 8 pm in Gainesville. That was an amazing start to the meal: not having to wait! The service was great, as well, and our waiter was extremely attentive. As for the food, what a creative menu! I got the eggplant and it was absolutely delicious. Others at my table really enjoyed their pasta dishes, chimichangas, and sandwiches. The only thing that wasn’t a hit with us was the curry — it just didn’t taste quite right. That said, the over all experience was very good and I would definitely dine at The Jones B-Side again!
