We went there for Mother’s Day and everyone loved their food. The service was excellent.

Just pulled up to a very dark and deserted restaurant… This place has seen its last days apparently. Oh well, I guess red lobster is where I’ll be doing my post-work drinking.

Hands down this place has THE best ribs I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. This past Saturday was my 2nd time there. It was really empty and I didn’t mind at all because that meant my food was going to come out fast. I do want to shout out our server Alyssa who was absolutely wonderful for taking care of my friend and I. My mouth is watering right now thinking about the ribs. It’s right down the street from my workplace. I should probably order some ribs on my lunch break. Maybe I shouldn’t, I need to hit the gym. Ughh. The whiskey shrimp is also pretty delicious. Can’t wait till it’s cheat day.

Unbelievably bad service. Only giving 2 stars because they apologized and didn’t charge for my soup or dessert. Believe me, there must’ve been some weird shakeup, as in a bunch of people quit or were fired this week. There’s no excuse for managers and wait staff to be screaming at each other in front of customers. The bartender ignored customers. Managers were bringing out food to tables, there were no busboys, and everyone was overwhelmed. The restaurant was only a quarter full, but they were all having trouble keeping up. My burger was the greasiest thing on earth and the fries were soggy. Crème brûlée was just vanilla pudding. My onion soup was darn good though. But overall my experience was awful and I won’t be going back.

The whiskey shrimp was incredibly tasty. And the 7oz fillet I had was juicy. It is definitely one step up compared to the previous bugaboo.

We had an absolutely delightful, delicious Easter lunch at BC Steak. Our usual Easter restaurant only takes reservations for larger parties and we weren’t even close to the minimum, so decided to try BC. We used to go when the location was Bugaboo and we were curious to see how the space had been remodeled and revamped. Well, the décor and ambiance are perfect. There are a number of rooms and spaces with tables and booths(we love booths) that allow for comfortable dining without being on top of your neighbor’s space(a big plus for us). In one dining room there is a gas fireplace, which was lit to take the slight April chill off, but mainly for coziness I image in. In the front of the restaurant is a large bar area and in the back is a long, private dining room with a plasma screen so that looks like it could be used for private parties or meetings. Our server was great, attentive but not intrusive. I liked that when our waiter told us the specials he also gave the prices for each, kudos for that. Five of us started with chicken fingers and spinach/artichoke dip. The dip was served with crisp wafers with a slight cheese flavor. The dip itself was cheesy and creamy with just a slight hint of garlic. I thought it was delicious. I didn’t try the chicken as I didn’t want to fill up on appetizers, but my husband proclaimed they might have been the best chicken fingers he’s ever had. Really? Better than Micky D’s nuggets – just kidding!!! Son ordered a cheese burger; DiL a steak; husband and granddaughter the salmon; and me a chopped salad. Those ordering entrees could pick their side(s) from a list that included mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, asparagus, broccoli, and a few other choices. When our entrees started arriving I realized I had really made a mistake. I haven’t eaten beef in 30+ years but the smell of the steak and burger plus the salmon was overwhelmingly mouth watering. I looked at my salad and it was nice, for the Easter bunny, but compared to the feast around me, well it was a nice salad. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The only slightly negative comment I heard was granddaughter thought the mac and cheese was«bland». I’m not a big dessert fan, but after my salad I wanted to see that menu. Three of us shared the cookie/ice cream and 2 had cheese cake. The cookie was served in a small cast iron skillet and it was crispy and hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Again, not a big dessert person, so a few bites were perfect but oh, so satisfying. They weren’t very busy when we arrived, but people were starting to come in as we were leaving so I hope they stay in business as they seem to have gotten their act together.

When you were Bugaboo Creek Steak, you were the best in Maryland. Great theme, fun and reasonable prices that were worth dining in. After switching to BC Steak and tried to classy your place up, it has been dissapointing. I pay for the food and atmosphere. Empty restaurant tells me the atmosphere does not match the price. Go back to being Bugaboo Creek and we will consider coming back. Worst business choice switching your image. It’s official, you guys suck now.

In a simple summary, not impressed. I stopped off here for a late dinner, the place was close to empty. I have been here when it was Bugaboo Creek, they lost the talking taxidermy from the previous place, but they kept the antler chandeliers, not sure why. It is a nice location now with a clean look and the staff was attentive, that earned them the 2 stars. The meal was a bit off. I ordered the bacon blue cheese filet. It came out as a questionable filet(kind of thin for filet) with a lump of butter on it. I pointed out to the waiter the missing Bacon and Blue Cheese(kind of a key part of the dish) to which he said the bacon and blue are mixed with the butter. Excuse Me? I doubt any self respecting chef would try that, or charge $ 2 more for an essence of bacon butter with a distant memory of blue cheese. I asked for a side of actual blue cheese, which he brought, and I moved on. It was a seriously tough filet, not sure what is different between their filet and their sirloin? Side of asparagus was woody and hard to chew. Not an impressive meal. I might overlook the meal for $ 15 but for close to $ 30, it should be better than it was.

The Bone in Ribeye was incredible. The bartender Alex was awesome. They have great lunch specials. You can eat lunch for just above the price of fast food and have a fantastic meal. I will definitely be back!

It started out promising. It was my second time here since the change from bugaboo creek. The onion straws are the stars but the bottom of the pile gets greasy. The mahi mahi was horrible. The sliders made my friend sick. The salad was drowned in dressing. When someone in our party got their wine spilled no one offered her s refill until someone in our party sought out the manager. Especially since the waiter did it. Bugaboo wasn’t awesome but it was better. Though there were a lot of locals in the bar.

Two words… WHISKEYSHRIMP. You must indulge yourself in this unctuous and savory goodness ! Very impressed with the bombardment of flavors and the overall presentation! Excellent lunch experience with my mother. We came here for lunch and the ambiance was cheerful yet mellow and comfortable. They have done an excellent job at totally reconstructing the place. I was very impressed with our waiter being so knowledgable and passionate about the menu. He was attentive but not a helicopter. The clam chowder was better than most with juicy chunks of savory clam. I highly recommend it!

Nicely re-done! Parmesan flat bread and prime rib. Excellent! the flat bread was crunchy with a nice flavor. Not too heavy on the Parmesan, but crunchy and hard(fresh out of the oven hard, not stale at all). The service is very accommodating but not pretentious. Even though I did enjoy the«old» Bugaboo, robot grizzly bear and all… I think the re-done BC Steak retains the spirit and feel of the heritage while casting the place on a more modern light. The colors, the décor, all have some nostalgia to it while brandishing a bold new look. We’ve been coming here for years, now. And it’s family friendly. Our toddler loves the clam chowder and spaghetti. Whenever I eat here, I always have to grunt to get back up. The food is really filling. It truly is a meat and potatoes place.

This place is so good !! We went here for a holiday party for work and it was delicious. PLEASE get the whiskey shrimp, it’s one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. A few of my coworkers and I went back today for lunch, and again, it was simply delicious. I got the fish and chips and was not disappointed. Great service too, the manager is super nice, as well as the hostess and waiters/waitresses. Don’t let any bad reviews fool you — this place is an entirely different place than what it was before, you can’t expect the same thing from a different restaurant! I’ll be back here for sure.

I used to love coming here as a kid. Had my first fish tacos here, and while I’ve since been turned onto bigger and better things, it’s definitely a solid place worth checking out! Haven’t been since the renovation/name change though.

Ate lunch at the bar. There was nobody in the dining room at 12:15 on a Friday. Bartender was friendly and he recommended the Reuben sandwich and I am happy he did. That was probably one of the better ones I’ve eaten. Best one is still Corned Beef King food truck. Corned beef melted in your mouth. I will be back for this sandwich! Décor is nice but I thought it was a little stale compared to Bugaboo.

We have been coming here for years. First when it was Bugaboo Creek and now that it is BC Steak. We are a meat and potatoes family. This is a steak house. This place makes us all happy! Lose your dusty stuffed animals and anything animatronics that talks, up the quality of the meat you serve and raise the prices! It works. At least it works here. I am a ribeye girl. I have always been a ribeye girl. Only at BC Steak am I a prime rib girl. Yes, I know. Same cut of meat. I love the char on the outside. But something about the rub on the prime rib here. Garlic. Other stuff. Yum. But the piece de resistance is the au jus. Yes, my whole review is over the au jus that BC Steak serves. Oh my. It is THATGOOD! It is not just watered down beef stock. What we have here is some heavy duty, well flavored beef stock that is french onion soup quality! Almost everyone in my family orders the prime rib here. Even those who order a steak will ask for a side of au jus. So much flavor, we don’t even ask for Worcestershire sauce. Just pour that juice over any cut of meat. We also have to ask for another basket of bread to sop up any extra juice. Another thing that brings my family back is the raw horseradish. I am the only one that likes mine cut with some sour cream while the rest of the clan slathers that spicy raw stuff directly on their meat. They love it! Best sides are the loaded baked potato and smashed potatoes. Very creamy. Very fattening! I wasn’t a fan of the mac and cheese because I thought it was too runny. Broccoli is a good choice but be careful of the large asparagus. I prefer tiny and tender. The french dip was also a hit(can you guess why?) but the stuffed flounder was a miss. Plenty of crab but a tiny little portion. The ribeye is also an excellent choice. If they have it, the espresso rub NY strip has a great flavor. Family loves clam chowder and enjoy it here. We even tried the chowder fries. Interesting concept. Throw some fries over some clam chowder and add some cheese and bacon. How can you go wrong? Seriously. I don’t know how you can go wrong… unless you don’t like clam chowder. They don’t seem to have a lot of servers working. We have had Joe a few times. He is pretty good. He is attentive and does seem to care. Personally, I thought he might have been a little too busy. He still managed to make us happy. A cheesecake was brought out for Dad’s birthday. No moose to kiss though. I guess that is good, Dad would have punched the moose in the nose. LOL

I had to update my review because I just had the most juicy steak in the world! The espresso rubbed New York strip is my one of my new favorites! I’ll be honest, this steak didn’t seem like much at first, but it was delicious! I was a little leary before I ordered it, but the waiter told me to go for it, and I’m glad I took his advice! We also tried the artichoke dip and that was good too. I recommend letting it cool a little before you eat it so that you don’t burn your mouth like I did.

Used to be a regular at the olé boogaboo creek back in the day. Stopped going for many reasons. Decided to try out the new BCSTEAKHOUSEOVERTAKE. WENT for happy hour as it’s usually a great sign of service and you can take a moment to walk around and view all changes before dinner rush. I was expecting some changes from the old talking animal puppets but never did I think this place could have turned the entire restaurant and service around in such short time after the remodel. We walked in by 5:30pm on a Friday night. Immediately upon entering we were greeted at the lovely new hostess host stand to ask how we could be helped. As we said we just wanted to experience happy hour at the bar we were settled in to bar seats by hostess with her giving a heads up to the bartender. We were given the happy hour menu as well as the whole dinner menu. My husband was eager to try a couple new beers and the bartender was very attentive and told him where each beer was made, whether it was sweet or light or heavy. My husband is usually a wine drinker but felt after the suggestions of the bartender that he was ready to try something new. We ordered our drinks at happy hour price(come on we are all on a budget) and took advantage of the crab appetizer. Though it may look small on the plate it’s big in the mouth because it’s all fresh chunks of crab meat. The only filling is the bread ing that holds them together. Then we ordered chicken tenders which were divine although the smear of sauces on the plate would be better represented as making the tenders the centerpiece and serving BBQ and honey mustard on the side. The smear of dipping sauces may have won over a judge on CHOPPED for beauty and a taste, but most people want something to dunk their tenders in. But no worries, we were given extra sauce with a smile. Had a few drinks, 3 $ beers, 4 $ wines and then dessert. Wow what a wonderful giant chocolate chip cookie dessert served ooey and gooey in a mini iron pan with dollops of vanilla ice cream, fresh whipped cream and fresh berries. And enough spoons for us all. This place is amazing. A hidden gem off Shady Grove Road. Great service from all staff, great food and beautiful atmosphere. Oh and plenty of parking! You must try this place! Happy hour food and drink prices M-F 5pm to 7pm will be enough for you to taste and want to go back for a sit down dinner. All those creepy puppet animals are gone. This place has a lovely makeover. I know you will love it! Everything is updated even the menu. Great happy hour and can’t wait to reserve the big rectangle table in the restaurant for my birthday.
