Hershey’s is an All-​American roadhouse-​type restaurant, a champion in its class Great old-​time atmosphere, big booths, live entertainment and terrific fried chicken Critics can pick at it, but Hershey’s is above all that yuppified nonsense. Just relax and enjoy a place that knows what it is and keeps it going!

They have a fancy new beer tap loaded with good beer! I saw beer from Dominion and Blue Point among others. Goes great with the fried chicken.

I know this place is somewhat of an institution, and I really hate to rate it so low, but it’s just not that good. I know, I’m SORRY!
We ventured here because my husband had done some research on the best fried chicken in MD, and this is what so many people suggested. We both tried it, and we both didn’t agree with all the believers out there. The chicken itself lacked flavor, and was so disappointing after a 25 minute wait for them to cook it to order.
The sides, in the meantime, came out freezing cold. You know how you want a really great mac and cheese or hushpuppy to accompany your fried chicken? This stuff just didn’t make the cut.
The service was attentive and you can tell that many of the staff have been there for years, which I think is a nice testament to the atmosphere of the place. However, at one point after getting a refill on his soda, my husband noticed a foreign object floating amongst the bubbles. It was a coffee creamer. What? How did that happen? So weird!
Anyway, I’d give this place a pass. Our search for amazing friend chicken continues…

Chicken us always awesome. Tried the pork chop last time, they weren’t good. They marinate them with something too tangy and a little odd before they use the chicken breading. Should leave the marinade out. Love the sides. Trying the sandwich menu today, a Reuben and Sloppy Joe’s…we’ll see!

I really liked their chicken but I would prefer to try their chicken tenders. The chicken and waffle meal was delicious it came with 2 sides so I got mashed potatoes which was amazing! And the Mac and cheese which was Meh I’ve had better. Boyfriend got the BBQ chicken sandwich which was so good. Overall I would come back. I really want to try the pies

Service not good, waitress not very attentive to customers, food was ok, nothing really special about the chicken, but even with the food being ok, woukdnt gi back until they have friendlier staff.

On April 2, 2016 my wife and I ordered 2 piece white meat fried chicken dinners. We have been to Hershey’s many, many times but this time was very bad. The fried chicken was over cooked. The service was fine. I have had fried chicken many times and it was great, but not this time. I was thoroughly displeased. While I do not intend to boycott Hershey;s I feel attention in the chicken preparation is necessary doing the cooking process to prepare a nice juicy fried chicken as they have many times before.

Overall terrible experience… called in a pickup order of fried chicken wings and a waffle and was greeted with an attitude. When I arrived the food wasn’t ready so I waited in their old bar. The ambiance isn’t really anything to brag about. Then there was the food… I supposedly was waiting on the waffle to be ready so it should’ve been nice and fresh right?! No, it was dark and had the texture of a cardboard box… terrible…now we get to their «specialty» chicken. At first glance, about half of the wings looked edible, the other half looked like the meet was compromised. There were dark black patches all over the chicken wings. I am not sure how or why they looked as such, but I’ve never had that experience before. I ended up throwing all of the food in the garbage because it was absolutely terrible. I would not ever go back to this place.

My first trip to Hershey’s proved better than expected. I ordered a large ceasar salad, without chicken, and it totaled only $ 4.77. I couldn’t finish it, so I took it home. Kim was my waitress, and she was very accommodating and sweet tempered. My friend ordered a salisbury steak, which was quite large, coleslaw, and mashed potatoes. She too had to take hers home. I will be bringing other friends to Hershey’s for sure. They have sizable meals with very reasonable prices. Oh, and the complimentary rolls were warm and yummy.

Came for a birthday and were smashed together. Half the food that came out of the kitchen was wrong and sent back. The fried chicken was great but the fried tenders too salty. Monty cristo was made wrong, salads came with the cores. Service was horrendous. Will never come back to this place unless a good band is playing. The band is what got two stars. Not the food or service.

The restaurant smells like cigarette. Even though the waffle and fried chicken were delicious and the waitress was nice, I don’t think I will go back.

While I do enjoy the food, the service is seriously lacking. It almost makes me wonder if it is worth coming at all. The servers come out the kitchen eating or sit down with other customers at their table and play Keno with them. It’s just very unprofessional.
We had the fried okra and onions rings as an appetizer and it was very good and the sauce that came with it was excellent. I had the chicken cordon bleu sandwich and it was good but the chicken was over cooked and burnt on the outside.
This place definitely caters to their regulars and if you’re a new customer you fall by the waist side.

Had a great meal of chicken and waffle. Afterwards we enjoyed some live music. Great way of spending a Saturday evening in their casual style restaurant

I should have listened to the review I previously read because I was not impressed. I ordered the two piece white meat chicken dinner with collard greens and sweet potato.
First off, the chicken was extremely salty. I will say it was juicy but they need to lay off the salt.
Secondly, the collard greens were not seasoned. It was okay.
Thirdly, the sweet potato was dry. I didn’t know it was prepared like a baked potato. So you would think they would have the fixings like one with the brown sugar, butter and nutmeg but it didn’t have any of that. I was very disappointed.
The people in the restaurant were very nice and the restaurant was clean but I was not impressed.

Best fried chicken and waffles I’ve had in a long time. The chicken is crunchy and still incredibly juicy, and the waffles are beautifully golden crisp. The only down side was the syrup… not quite on par with the rest of the stuff, but delicious none the less. I had fries and hush puppies (and bypass surgery) with my C+W, and would definitely recommend you put the hush puppies in the syrupy, fried mix as you crunch through a really good but not so healthy meal. The fries were good, just not good with this plate.

The atmosphere has a very mom and pop kind of vibe and the customer service is quite good. Our waitress was very attentive.
We had the chicken and waffles which was great, the mashed potatoes unfortunately were not made right or flavorful but the greens make a great side.
The salad is HUGE which was awesome and they give you two giant sides of dressing so it was definitely a good value, it was pretty much a meat and cheese salad with a little bit of lettuce =)
Overall, it was an okay positive experience for the area since it’s pretty hidden and there wasn’t much around

Great food. The fried chicken is amazing. Burgers cooked perfectly. Fries could’ve been crispier. For fried chicken take-​out be sure to call at least an hour in advance. They make it in small batches but it’s worth it!

Some of the best fried chicken and peach pie I have ever had! Delicious food all around but the chicken is to die for. It’s very laid back and good for a few drinks too. We love coming here but keep in mind chicken takes like 25 min to make but the apps n zerts are good so it’s ok.
Had their carry out for when family was in town once and everything was just as delicious as if you ate it there!

What a great Happy Hour place! Our first visit to check out the fried chicken…, terrible… So salty… While eating sitting at this great bar… Several other customers complained as well… We were told it used to be the best Chicken around??? But owner wants to save money and buy cheap pre– made mix … Not how it was made by original owner!
Facility is clean, drinks good and great prices… We will try some other food next time… But don’t order chicken… What shame… Could correct it it soo easily… Pls listen to your customers

First time here yesterday and i must say it’s amazing! i came on Monday because that’s when they have their fried chicken special. let me tell you i am a big fan of Popeyes, home cooked fried chicken etc, but
Hershey’s has got to be the ONLY place in town that has such delicious juicy meat (white meat at that) and crispy non greasy fried chicken! it’s so delicious i can’t get over it. my favorite sides are the baked potatoe, mac&cheese, and coleslaw. mmm i can’t wait to go again to try their other sides.
i definitely recommend this place. the service is slow but everyone is sweet and i forgot our waitresses name but she gave us extra mac&cheese at no cost because we loved it so much! definitely got a good tip.
it’s very modern and the bar area is nice. big TVs and comfortable seating. i believe on Wednesday and Saturday nights they have live music! anyway, go and try this place out you won’t be disappointed!
