It is one thing to charge $ 600 for a suit, but then to have unhelpful staff, skimp out and use cheap fabrics, and then to top it all off with shotty tailoring? I only needed it taken on the legs, and the stitching came out a week later after light use.

Unfortunately, I have about $ 400 in Jos. A. Bank gift cards to spend. This place is terrible. The two older men working there are the antithesis of helpful. Poor appearance and poor attitude are not what I’m looking for when spending money on necessary overpriced clothing. The tuxedo shirts were dirty and out of packages. I don’t by dirty shirts between $ 89 and $ 150 as marked. I hope someone in the corporate office takes a trip to this place. I’ll have to find a decent location to spend my cards and then never set foot in one of these stores again.

When you go, ask for Jamila. She’s incredibly helpful, and as nice as it gets. Went there with my mother to get professional clothing for my new job. She set me up with suits, slacks, and professional shirts that all looked great on me(difficult to do because I’m an extremely slim fit). On the other hand, I watched the other people in the store working, and one old guy in there(STAYAWAY) flat out insulted an incoming customers’ gut. The guy wasn’t even fat, and was like 60. I felt so horrible for him. Honestly, after watching how uninterested in customer service anyone else was in the store, I would only go there if Jamila was working. She was awesome, like a personal shopper.

Pretty bad service. My bf came here to get the measurements for a tux rental because he was a groomsman. This one lady was so rude when we walked in. We said we had to try on the suit. She asked«for what wedding!?» She didn’t even ask for who’s name, where or when. As frankly… Seeing as how were in Gaithersburg and the wedding was somewhere in New Jersey… She didn’t need to know which wedding and wouldn’t know anyway. He got his measurements. Came back less than a week before the wedding to try it on. It was way too big! Requested a new size. He was supposed to get a call Thursday informing him if the suit was ready Thursday or Friday… No call. When he called them Friday morning they said it’s here. If this is how jos a bank works… I would never ever come to one. Especially not this one. They aren’t professional and I wouldn’t trust any of them tailoring a suit.

We came for two oversized pants I bought online. The staff was not happy immediately seeing I carry something. I intended to exchange but my husband wanted to return. While we were discussing the staff yelled«people! people! some help here!» Hello! We where in front of you! Anyway, I returned the pants and I will never come back again.

Slow and not very helpful. Irv the manager helped me set up suit rentals for my wedding, but forgot the discount codes. When I called he said he would straighten it out and call me back. 3 days later I called him and he wasn’t even apologetic. A few months before I set up my suit rental I went in to redeem a gift card for a pair of dress shoes and a few belts. He over charged me and as previous didn’t apologize, but was actually rude about it. I would NOT recommend going to this store at all. Go to Macy’s if you want inexpensive dress clothes

BP and I went here to look around as my mom was looking for a suit for my brother and I wanted to get an idea on price ranges. I brought my brother’s measurements with me, which was helpful for the staff member assisting us. The staff was helpful but in a way, I felt pressured to buy and I didn’t really come in to buy anything. We sort of left as soon as possible.

We first visited the Bethesda location and were scared away by two of the slowest staff members we’d ever seen. They said they can try to help, but they were just trained on the new system to order rental tuxes for weddings, which was what I needed. When I called the Rio location they seemed much sharper and able to answer my questions… but the manager would not be in until later in the week, and he was the best versed in this new system. We made an appointment and my wife and I went to order the tuxes for my groomsmen from the Rio location. After a painful 2 hours, it was evident that the manager was new to this system as we watched him click and toggle through the same two screens for what seemed like eternity. For those looking for a career change, you could probably sit in a training session and pick up this«new system» and make a store managers salary by figuring it out — I know how to use it like the back of my hand now after watching him. The day before my wedding, I went in to try on my tux which arrived at the store on time as promised. One staff member approached me and asked if I needed help. «Yes, I have a tux for my wedding to try on». He told me someone would be with me shortly and went back to organizing the racks. Another lady asked if I needed help. «Yes, I have a tux for my wedding to try on». She went and grabbed the tux and showed me to the dressing room. I tried it on by myself — no staff member to assist. I had to flag someone down, and finally got a tall lady who smelled as if she had a lit cigarette in her back pocket enthusiastically told me everything looked PERFECT! The bottom of my pant leg was two inches higher than my ankle… socks were exposed Michael Jackson style. The shirt didn’t button tight up top. The vest was not fitted and was as loose as a raincoat. I pointed all these things out and she said«You know it’s going to be in the evening and everyone is going to be a black cat there — no one is going to notice and you’re going to have a WONDERFULTIME!». I grabbed someone else, who adjusted my vest for me using the straps in the back — while the first lady looked on and said«I had no idea that was there… but now it looks PERFECT! I’m sorry I’m new!» She went to grab the seamstress and said«His pants look fine, no?» The seamstress shook her head and said«No, that’s horribly short, and I can add two inches to the bottom.» I could go on… and on… and on… skip Cirque De Soleil and come to this store to see some real mind boggling circus acts. Let me wrap it up here… the tuxes are of «ok» quality here. The ties are clip-ons, and the staff does not know how to arrange for you to purchase a real one if you request it. I will buy my next tux(NOT from here). The staff at all locations I’ve visited seem very incompetent(it really is incredible), but boy do they dress well. So incompetent, they really don’t even know when the customer is getting upset. There was one instance I had to firmly tell that same lady«Please, stop looking up if my tux is free — I know it is. and I just want you to address the vest, shirt, and pant issues». She said«No it’s important to me that you are not charged for this!» After I got 2 out of 3 issues resolved(they could not fix the shirt collar) I went to Hamburger Hamlet and had two Jim Beam and Cokes to calm down. My groomsmen who got tuxes from here and two other locations, all echoed equally as laughable experiences the night before my wedding.
