I would give this place zero stars if I could. The food here was god awful and I was so embarrassed to even take my family there. I don’t know if it was because we weren’t hispanic that they gave us such awful food, but that was the worst restaurant I had ever eaten at. The meat in the food we ordered was extremely chewy and dry, the beans were more like soup than beans, and the pupusas were so greasy. They only refilled our water once and never came back to refill it. I will never go back there ever again, unless I’m taking someone I absolutely hate.

If you think Guapos or Uncle Julio is good, wait until you try Laredo. To be honest, this is the best Mexican/Salvadorian restaurant in the Montgomery County area that I have been to. I have been going to this restaurant my entire life with the family and have never been disappointed. I recommend for people to try the Salmon, Pollo a la Parilla, and the picadera.

This is by far the best authentic Mexican food in md that I’ve ever had and I’ve lives here my whole life. Great food, nice people. 10⁄10 would recommend. The sizzling fajitas are especially amazing

Come for the margaritas. Especially the Cadillac one. You can tell that they are made individually, instead of being poured from a bottle of mix that is kept under the sink or something. I had two, and while they were pretty small, I had to hang out a little bit to let the buzz wear off. The food is so-so. My shrimp fajitas only came with 3 tortillas, about 6 shrimp, one round slice of bell pepper and a random tomato slice. Even still, those tamales were not enough for my order. The guacamole was flavorless. The sour cream had small black flecks in it, so I didn’t touch that. The chips were ok; the salsa was edible, not great. Like I said, come for the margaritas.

My friend Larry A. And I decided to try something new so we went to Laredo Grill in Festival Shopping Center. To start our meal, we shared a Guacamole Dip, which consisted of mashed avocado, tomato, onion, and parsley served in a crispy flour tortilla bowl served with crispy flour tortilla chips. Since I wasn’t very hungry, I ordered a Tamal de Elote, which consisted of a green, sweet corn tamale. It was finer and mushy than what I’m used to. The Pupusa was filled with cheese and crispy all around. My friend ordered the Salmon Cancun, which consisted of a lightly seasoned grilled salmon in a Cancun sauce served with steamed broccoli and refined beans.

The food is always good and the service is great. I love the pupusas. My favorite thing on the menu is the chicken tacos al carbon but everything on the menu is tasty. The meat is moist and flavorful in the chicken tacos. The best time to come is when it’s nice out and you can eat outside!

Very pleased with the good food and relaxed but attentive service. The seafood enchiladas were a pleasant surprise but the friendly not-over-the-top atmosphere really made for a very pleasant dinner. Recommended.

It’s a great neighborhood cantina style restaurant, safe enough for the little ones. I had the soft Laredo beef tacos. They were good, but a little pricey. Being a Texan, I miss my Tex-Mex. It’s nearly null and void in these parts. This restaurant did a good job. Friendly and attentive staff. I’ll be back

This is a great little neighborhood place. Although they do serve the requisite Tex-Mex style dishes, and they are fine, that is not where they really shine. The Salvadoran inspired dishes are always delicious. Try the fresh, whole Snapper — perfect in it’s simplicity. Yes, their prices are a little higher than the mundane, high-output Mexican places, but everything is made fresh. The patio makes for a nice place to sit in the summer and enjoy your Margarita.

Very pleasant atmosphere, much quieter than the Rio or Kentlands. Food was good and reasonably priced.

The food was okay. I got the beef chimichangas: the beef was dry without much flavor. It was also much smaller than chimichangas I have had at other restaurants. The rice and beans were good, but nothing to rave about. For nearly $ 13, I expected much better. I did like that they serve chips and salsa with carryout meals, and the side condiments(guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo) were fresh and tasty. The staff was very nice. I probably won’t be returning because I can get tastier, cheaper, and more filling Mexican food at other places down the street.

Service here is great and I really like their outdoor patio seating. I had the enchiladas and was grateful for such a generous portion. I loved the rice and black beans. The beef enchiladas were well-seasoned and the chicken was moist and tender.

My husband introduced me to Laredo. Growing up in Texas he says their food is the closest to authentic. I’ve never had a problem with service. Staff is always very friendly and quick with refilling drinks. If you want a bar I wouldn’t go here. The bar is small, but the food makes up for it. We always have the guacamole appetizer with the fresh fried chips. Delicious! I’ve tried everything from tamales to tacos to enchiladas and chimichangas. You can’t go wrong. I’m not snotty about my Mexican food. I like Guapo’s, but I think Laredo really stands out.

My family and I have been here about three times and love this place. We’re big fans of Mexican food, and Laredo Grill offers typical Mexican dishes as well as El Salvadorian foods. The restaurant itself is pretty small. All the times I have been, it has not been super busy, but it might get a bit cramped during busy times. The servers are all very kind and helpful. I really enjoy the food as well. My favorite dish is the Beef Enchilada, and it’s always been well-prepared and fresh. My dad ordered an item that was off the menu, and they were very flexible with making this dish. Overall, I will definitely be coming here more.

I have been to this restaurant a few times. I’ve had take out from here and eaten y the restaurant twice. The food is decent, like ur average decent Mexican place. The service is ok too. My most recent visit left a bad taste. We ordered, ate and then when the check came, prices were different on several items than what was listed on the menu. When we asked the waitress she pointed to the fine print on the last page of the menu stating that prices can change without notice. So does that mean prices were changed while we were eating the food!!! What bothered me was not that we had to pay a few dollars more, but that they didnt inform us earlier. How hard can it be to have the waitress say«prices on some items are different» or to use a sharpie and update the prices… I have knocked off a star for this reason. Now about the food. The sangria was bad… I should have ordered the margarita! As an appetizer, we had the shrimp. it was really bland, sautéed in butter and for the price($ 12) we got 6 pieces. As for the entrée, my steak fajita was really good but for the price($ 16) the portions were small. My companions had the vegetable fajita($ 13) and the kids meal, chicken and rice($ 8) which were just ok… For mexican food, I would go to Mi Rancho in Germantown(the veggie fajitas were excellent) or Guapos next time. Considering the food, location, service and ambience at this place, I dont think I will be back in a long time. There are other places near by that offer more …

Simplicity at its best. Not the cleanest but certainly doesn’t make your skin crawl. «Busy»(décor) and slightly cramped… But the food is so flavorful, lunch portions are perfect. I really enjoyed my pupusa and tamal de elote. The refried beans are delicious. Inexpensive good«home made hand» flavored food. Worth the business break!

We love this place. We found this place about 5 years ago and we have been going ever since. All of the dishes are super duper authentic. It isn’t a Mexican place, it actually is an El Salvadorian restaurant. I recommend the Sopa de Res, the Pescado Frito, or the Pollo Chipotle. Here stay away from the traditional Tex-Mex fare(tacos, enchiladas, etc.) and try some of the more authentic cuisine like the lomo saltado and other traditional dishes. That’s where this place really shines. The service and the atmosphere is always great. The servers know our order by heart now and we always get great service when we go. The ambience can be either lively or intimate depending on the time of day that you go. All in all, this place is a very good restaurant and is a great choice for traditional Salvadorian food.
