Great customer service and a really well organized store. I just love coming here to browse and hope to find an amazing steal on something — which isn’t that hard, I think they have a well stocked Clearance section. I got my first Papasan Chair here, and they were very helpful with measurements, helping me select one, take it to the car etc. bottom line — I like bringing my business here!

The place looks lovely with all the fabulous décor. I feel like the furniture is not as sturdy, def not worth the price except a few solid wood pieces.

What can I say? Maybe I made a huge mistake thinking today was a good day to go shopping at this place. I’ve never really been here to shop because I found the stuff was really overpriced. And almost all of it I could find elsewhere for cheaper like Target or Tj maxx. Well, today I was I here and it was chaos. People everywhere and someone like managed to drop and break a ton of stuff. My boyfriend found broken glass on the floor by the candles(a different section of the store from where the people dropped something and broke it) and then I went to check out and had picked out a broken frog statue for the outside. When I pointed it out to the clerk, I said«um, is that broken?» And pointed to the crack. And she goes«it’s just a little broken». And co untied to check me out? I was like what? So I walked back to get a new statue and told her to replace it. Something she should have offered to do… While she’s wrapping it she pointed out the new one had a huge scrape on it and asks if I was sure I wanted this one versus the other broken one and I was like«you know what? How about I don’t take either» and had her refund my money for it. Ugh. This place is exactly what I imagined… Overpriced crap that can’t even get out of the store before breaking. I give this place a two because the stuff is pretty. But I swear as soon as you touch it, it will break or fall apart… Very cheaply made.

I hate to be Debbie Downer but I dont get whats the hoopla about this overrated store. Everything is severely marked up and its cheaply made.. From your cheap essential oils to your large wicker baskets. This place has pretty things, I give it that but if you have a fat wallet and dont care about price tags by all means do shop here. Unfortunately, for me I have bills and student loans to repay. The store layout looks like they crammed everything into a small store… looks like a new age flea market. Unless, the are have a liquidation sale or I get a gift card for this store. I wont return. You can do much better at Target.

Reasons to love this place: Staff is awesome! They’re always courteous and helpful. If they don’t have the answer to a question, they will find out. They’re also quick to resolve customer issues. Prices are reasonable, and there is always a sale going on. Even if it’s not on sale, it’ll eventually go on sale or get marked down. It’s a really no-brainer for host/ess gifts. Their stock price since early 2009 has nearly multiplied 8000%…yes, read: eight thousand percent.

I always forget I like this place! Perhaps it’s because it’s in the far corner past Target, so I always forget to stop in here after my Target run. But this Pier 1 is an awesome little store that in some ways is superior to the Pier 1 on the Pike. To start with, while it’s smaller then the Pier 1 on the Pike, it’s generally also better organized. Things aren’t scattered to the four winds, and you’re not tripping over pillows as you walk down the aisles. Also, the staff, while not very chatty and generally won’t come up to ask you if you need help — are at least helpful when you do ask them for help. Plus, they are all centrally located at the cashier register, so you know where to snag one. Finally, for whatever reason, I have never encountered kids here. No really. Which is odd, because the Rio strip mall town center shopping complex(not sure what the heck to call this area), is generally teeming with small people. But not this store. Excellent! Oddly, most of my friends expected me to shop at Pier 1 when we bought our new place. I wonder if it’s because I’m «ethnic»(yeah, a good 80% of my friends are non-Asians)? Whatever. While I do not deny that Pier 1 does have cute home accents and décor, personally, I find the quality of the products to be a little lacking. However, I do like coming here to buy little stocking stuffers, little«just because» presents, or host/ess gifts, as the prices are pretty good, it’s close to my house, and the stuff is usually eclectic.
