stopped through on a drive through 66 from work. had my daughter so we stopped by. the café was not open but the cars were super cute. we were able to take some fun pics. totally worth the stop.

We arrived too late for them to be open, but I really enjoyed the stop anyway. I’m a big fan of the Cars movie and thought it was really neat to see the inspiration for Tow Mater. It would have been nice to be able to talk to the staff about their experiences. Definitely a must stop on a Route 66 trip. We were excited to find the Route 66 signs painted on the road there.

Looks like a fun spot to stop if you are in need of some food or cars merchandise. Too bad almost the whole shop was empty because of some tour busses and the only food they had in stock were tater-​tots which we didn’t really like.

What a fun little spot to stop at! Of course they were part of the inspiration for the movie CARS and have the original Tow Tater (inspiration for Tow Mater).
Their burgers are good and juicy! The tater tots cooked to perfection and of course you can have a nice cold beer, or soda, to go with it.
The owner can tell you a plethora of information about this part of Route 66 and the old Mines that were in the town of Galena. Definitely stop in to grab a bite to eat and learn a little history about Galena and The Mother Road; Route 66!
