My husband and I love Kaladi’s. We’re in Galena almost every month and have been coming to this coffee spot for about 5 years now. It’s a family owned place that is so warm and inviting. Sometimes they may bicker(in a funny way) behind the counter while making your cup-o-joe that honestly is pretty entertaining. It may take a few minutes to get your drink but it’s well worth the wait. Their cinnamon rolls and biscotti are amazing. Their coffee is the best in town and we look forward to returning time and time again.

We stopped in for some warm drinks on a cold January Saturday last month for the first time. Really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, comfy seating, great coffee and Sergio made us feel so welcome. Next girls weekend, we will be back!

I love this place! I don’t drink coffee but I do eat panini’s and theirs is the best! I just relocated to Galena and they’ve made me feel so at home and welcomed. It’s hard to believe what Ralitza said in a previous review. I’ve never known those boys to be anything but respectful to everyone that comes in there. I will continue to go in there as long as I am here and they are open. Two thumbs up!

Sergio and the other baristas treated me kindly and with respect, serving me the drink I always order when in Galena: orange mocha! High-quality coffee. Delicious! Thank you.

Me: Do you have 12oz coffee? Coffee guy: Ehh, we really only have 16oz and 20oz coffee Me: Your sign says Small — 12oz Coffee guy: We don’t really have 12oz Me: Well I have a 12oz travel mug that I want to use Coffee guy: Give me your cup! * fills cup This one is on the house! Me: WHAT?! *throws $ 5 in tip jar That’s how I like to buy coffee. Not from some wuss down the street with a no guns sign.

If you are visiting Galena or walking in the area you want to avoid this coffee shop!!! Years ago this place was nice and reasonable but recently I’ve had nothing but disappointments since the ownership/management switched. I had been going there for years regularly. First, they stopped making their amazing fresh-squeezed orange juice. Then, the quality of their coffee went down. Then, their prices went WAY up. They also do not accept credit cards, so you have to go to their ATM inside if you want to get something and don’t have cash. I am now inly going to go to the Devour coffee shop down the street which has better coffee, better prices, a friendly staff, and beautiful atmosphere. I had a terrible experience there today that made me feel awful. We were walking around the downtown area and it was late and almost every other shop was closed, so me and my boyfriend went in to use the bathroom. We were kinda desperate to go quickly. I came out and the man and woman working there were talking smack about me in Spanish. I don’t think they knew I understood them. Then, the woman(barista???) came up to me and started going off angrily and calling me a «disrespectful asshole» for not buying anything first or asking if I can use the bathroom(I’m not in kindergarten, lady!). She obviously does not understand what customer service means for a small coffee shop in a small town with repeat customers. Then my boyfriend came out of the restroom and bought a tea, which he was going to do anyways. I told him what happened to me and we decided we are going to be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

Good coffee, good service. Food can be a little rich, but try the place. Comfortable setting and wi-fi.

I gave it two stars for atmosphere because it is a nice café to sit in if you don’t drink the coffee. Also they didn’t take credit or debit only cash. I felt comfortable inside but the product offered was not good.

Great place for coffee, chai or whatever you have a taste for. This coffee shop delivered in service and taste. Please try the Chai Latte. It’s delicious and not too sweet. It definitely beats Starbucks. Happily, I did not see a Starbucks in Galena.

Chaotic, disorganized mess. Walked out unserved after a lengthy wait when the inattentive counter guy allowed some rude old people to skip the line. Had enough time to look at the menu to know that rhe prices are out of line anyway. Would never go back.

We were walking by on a rainy night. They were closed and the owner noticed us peeking in so he unlocked the door and invited us in. He was so friendly and my husband said his americano coffee was really good — noted the beans were freshly roasted. I chose a hot tea from the wide selection available. Cute place, friendly vibe. highly recommended!

You have to try a the roast beef panini! The moment you walk into the place the vibe entrapped my mind and the hip scene offered me a welcoming experience. This friendly family own coffee shop stands out in this artsy community! You will never be disappointed in any of their products! Also if you are a tea affectionate make sure you stop in! I was impressed.

Nice place to go when you want to sit and relax on a couch, but the coffee is only so-so. It used to be tolerable, but the last few times have been unbearable. Cute shop though!

Ordered a hot caramel apple cider on a chilly day. It was awful. The cider(that they poured from a store bought gallon) tasted old and stale. Not to mention, the prices were ridiculous. $ 5 and above for a 12oz drink?! No thank you. I’d rather go to starbucks.

Free wifi. It is on the receipt once you order. That’s nice since T-Mobile sucks and doesn’t have good service in Galena. The tacos were good. I didn’t try any coffee and they were out of gelato. But, it was nice to take a break, get some grub and sit down. My friend had the latte, and he said it was pretty good.

Kaladi’s Coffee Bar, is located in cute little downtown Galena, right on Main Street. After a long night, I was ready to have a relaxing day moseying through Galena’s shops and sipping on a latte… or two, if possible. I spied Kaladi’s and thought they looked cute enough to try. At first, we waited a couple minutes to be acknowledged. I believe there was only one person working. She looked like she could of used an extra hand. I proceeded to order my latte and requested honey, but was told they did not have any. I would of purchased a pastry of some sort, but they only had about six total in their bare case, none of which looked worth trying. Once I received my drink, I circled the corner towards the sugars, and what to my wondering eyes did appear, but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer! Okay, no, there were no reindeer. It was just a full bottle of honey. Aside for that now leaving a bad taste in my mouth, the latte itself was enjoyable. We chose to plop down on a couch to enjoy our drinks, catch up on some things, and relax for a few minutes. The music played overhead was what one would expect to hear when entering a club on spring break in Cancun. They did alternate with smoother songs, but always came back to the club. Not what you would expect to hear at a coffee shop. Now remember, Kaladi’s is cash only. There is an ATM inside if you so choose, but bring that paper or you’ll have to pay more.

What an adorable place! Loved the neat booths and couch areas. Guess they recently remodeled. Had the best veggie panini ever! Chewy bread with veggies, pickles and some lovely mayo concoction. Husbo had a different panini(with meat of some sort in it, of course) and he loved his too! I didn’t personally taste the coffee, but several in our party had mocha’s or the pumpkin spice latte and they thought they were great. They came in those cool ceramic bowl mugs with froth and whipped cream. I also tried one of their chocolate chip scones, which was super tender, yet solid. I am a scone snob and like mine on the sturdier side.(If you want an airy muffin, get one.) It was fantastic! They had three scone choices(they make them here), a couple different muffins and cookies. What more does anyone need?

Cute place. Seem to be run by nice family. Perhaps the comparisons to Starbucks aren’t appropriate given that it’s a small town feel and the typical small-town experience. I would say that this is better than a Starbucks for that reason. If you want cheap prices and consistent product, try McDonald’s. The café was actually huge. It’s actually much bigger than most of the stores on the main street. There were plenty of places to sit and read local publications. There is also artwork on the walls that is for sale. Overall a great place to relax after doing some shopping. There was no free Wi-Fi that I could find at the location which surprised me. However, it was also a nice change to not be able to connect to your digital life. I also think it prevents people from sitting there all day with a laptop, which is a nice change from the city.
