I loved the old fashioned décor. We had the chocolate gelato with cheesecake and it was fantastic. The teenager serving us pointed out that they make all their own gelato which we didn’t know. Good job on training! :) Prices are reasonable for gelato. You can try something in advance. There are plenty of places to sit inside and enjoy your gelato or coffee near a cozy fireplace. Can’t wait to visit again!

Yes. Just yes. We stopped in here for a cup of coffee, but walked out with coffee, gelato and chocolate. The staff was extremely friendly and it was refreshingly evident that they loved their job; after all, who wouldn’t? They offered us samples of the gelato, and we went with something like a chocolate espresso? Paired with the coffee… Amazing. We sat in the beautifully decorated shop just letting the gelato melt in our mouths as our eyes rolled into the backs of our heads in bliss. The hot coffee was the perfect accent to the decadence of the gelato. The chocolates were pretty good, too. You really can’t go wrong ordering anything in this place.

This place is lovely. It’s a chocolate lover’s paradise. I really like how the owner Alex was there, and he custom made me a drink to suit my tastes.
The only reason that I am giving it four stars instead of five is because I feel like the place itself has a lot of empty space.
I feel like they need something more to fill it – perhaps artwork or other things to sell?
I really enjoyed the drink and the customer service, though. Top notch!

We discovered Stam on a recent trip to Galena and now I’m trying to devise ways to go back there, three-​hour-​drive be damned. I love good chocolate, and this is very, very good chocolate. Rich, creamy, true flavors and beautiful design. The marzipan, ganache, lemon and everything else we tried were outstanding. My husband loves dark chocolate covered orange peel, and they had those, too.
