Cute store. There are tons of cute toys and gadgets here along with lots of novelities you wouldn’t find anywhere else.

Pretty cute toy store for the kids. They have a ton out for the kids to play with, test out and then beg their family to purchase for them. Staff were friendly and informative. The nieces and nephews that I was with had an absolute blast while here.

A cute store packed full of gifts, toys, cards, jewelry, bags, decorative items, novelties, etc. Reasonable prices and lots of friendly staff on hand to help. We were there the day after Thanksgiving and they were offering a free $ 15 gift if you spent $ 75 or more.

Wonderful experience! Didn’t realize they didn’t open until 10 but the wonderful staff let us in about 9:30 because they are the best! Very knowledgeable about their products and what they have available! Great selection of gifts for all ages!

If you are coming with kids or want to buy something to put into a future garage sale then I recommend this store. It is very tight and does not offer a lot of breathing space to shop.

One of my all-time favorite stores in Galena! Great for the hard-to-buy-for person in your life. Some items are pricey, but the selection is great. There really is something for everyone!

Best store in Galena! Fun gifts for every age. Magnetic sand, table hockey or soccer, floppy bunny rabbit winter hats, reader glasses, jewelry, unique games… They were playing neat 50’s music and the staff was super friendly.

Cool store to pick up a little something for those who didn’t make the trip with you.

An eclectic mix of items. If your looking for silly and goofy this is the place for you. If your visiting Galena for the historic sites, don’t waste your time. There are many more shops on Main Street to search through. Ignore the billboards, there’s nothing but junk.

With a name like Poopsies, clearly my friends and I had to take a look on our Saturday afternoon in Galena. Our expectations were shattered. Surprisingly, its not a weird Hooters-like bar. It’s actually a toy store for all ages! Kind of like a locally owned Creative Kidstuff. You can make your own sparkly lip gloss, snuggle with a giant Chewbacca doll and find local art. If you’re into that(who isn’t?!), then stop in.

Not gonna lie, this is like one of the cutest stores in all of downtown Galena, but it’s a shame everything is so expensive. They really broke my heart with their pricetags. Every thing I found that I liked, I picked it up and looked at the price and then set it back down because I just can see spending $ 25 on a card game. I really hated not buying anything but if their prices were about 30% lower, I would have got some of my Christmas shopping done here. Perhaps they have an occasional sale… I’ll check out their website, for sure. I look forward to my next trip out to Galena to find some time to dig a little more through Poopsie’s!

can’t believe this store is closing :-(always the coolest gift ideas could be found inside and unique home furnishings. Just hated that sticker-shock when I fell in love with some of their furniture pieces!

Poopsie’s has to be my favorite family-owned shop along Galena’s historic Main Street. It’s not just another snooty boutique, but instead, a shop filled with gifts and souvenirs all ages(infants up) can enjoy. A few cool items I noticed were: –A wine glass that holds an entire bottle of wine –A quarter-holding keychain that has an alarm to set your remaining paid meter time –Paper shredding scissors –Golf club flamingos and other metal sculptures –My favorite stuffed animal collection, Giant Microbes Psst, if you look south from Poopsie’s entrance, you have one of the best Main Street views of downtown with the clock tower in the hills above.

I’ve loved Poopsies for many years and visited each time I’ve come to Galena. There was a 6 year gap in which I wasn’t able to visit and, in that time, I’d heard that it closed. Upon my return to Galena, there was Poopsies’ new location, ready any waiting! A very close friend and I browsed around, loving everything. It’s kitschy and over-the-top and just FUN!
