We were fortunate enough to find Charlie through Angie’s List when we were searching to have the original hardwood floors refinished in a newly purchased home. The house was built in the 50’s and the oak floor was in rough shape with an area beyond hope due to a baseboard heater leak. Charlie’s quote was definitely not the cheapest but after meeting with him and looking through his published book on hardwood flooring I knew he would do the best job. He showed up early the day after we closed with his extremely professional and personable crew who wasted no time getting to work. The level of detail these gentlemen have is remarkable and the wood floors look amazing. They had to replace some boards due to the water leak but they tried their hardest to sand it out. It was close to the undamaged portion but we wanted 100% since we were already investing this amount of money. Charlie threw in some extra work that saved us a considerable amount of money and we are very grateful. They also refinished the stairs and sanded the risers for us since we plan on painting the faces. Overall we could not be happier with the floors. From start to finish was about a week (a lot of work) and we waited an additional week to walk/​move stuff in. If you are in a hurry the products he uses (Bona) have a quick cure time.
