Island Sun Tanning

Favorite tanning salon EVER!
First off, let me start by saying all the girls that work here (most have been here forever) are super sweet! They are always friendly and seem happy to be there. The store is super cozy and cute.
Their spray tans look unbelievably natural, I get them faithfully, as do my friends. They have a booth that sprays you, and you can pick your shade. It literally probably takes 60 – 90 seconds total and you come out looking like a bronzed goddess.
Their High Pressure beds are amazing! I’ve never seen beds this nice at any of the 20 tanning salons I’ve been to in my life. Plus, they get you super dark and you won’t burn. It is a little bit more expensive than your average tan, but super worth the few extra dollars.
I’m a tanning lotion junkie, and I can honestly say they have the best selections! They have tons of bottles and packets to pick from and their bottles are always on sale and they give you a free tan for buying one!

I like this location a little less than Mays Landing for two reasons: it’s small and cramped, and the girls here are not as friendly. Could be because most, if not all of them, are bratty Stockton girls, but still. It’s not all of them, just most. Also, I came here a few years ago, before the Mays Landing location opened, and there was a wait, so I put my name in. After almost an hour I still had not been called, so I asked one of the girls if it was going to be much longer. Long story short, she either hadn’t written down my name, or had blatantly skipped right over me. Now you saw me sitting there for almost 60 full minutes… did you think I was just relaxing? Vicariously absorbing the UV rays and skin-​dyeing oils? Nooooooo!
But it is Island Sun, and it is the best place to tan (besides underneath the actual sun), sooo if Mays Landing’s location ever closed, I’d be trekking myself down Jimmie Leeds to this one.
