Red Carpet Inn

The buildings and the property look very nice. The person who checked us in was very friendly. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The building sits back off the highway which is nice. It’s also very close to the Historic Smithville shops (you could actually walk if you wanted to). The price was a bargain too. We would stay here again.

I will admit that I wanted to save money by going to this hotel but I wasn’t expecting such a horrible experience. The front desk clerk was an absolute nightmare! When we got there we asked for more towels and pillows and she said «we are booked solid. What if everyone asks for more towels and pillows» and she kind of laughed about it. Well, I guess a normal hotel would have a backup supply and also provide enough to us from the start! Also, the hotel was not booked solid.
Also, there were nails sticking up out of the carpet. I stepped on them a few times so I guess I’ll be sending them my bill for a tetanus shot!
All in all this place was just a crappy, dirty hotel with horrible service. With all the options in the area, pick something else!

The worst, absolute worst experience ever. I am still itchy thinking about it. Awful staff awful room awful experience. Unless you need the space to commit a felony I would avoid it at all costs.
