Brewsters Bar & Grill

Came for a photo shoot in the top loft that was rented. We got hungry and decided to order some food. Food portions are big, but everything is pretty pricey for what it is in comparison to other bars. Even a burger dish is $ 14. Blu cheese fries were good.

I can’t say enough great things about the place, the food, the staff and the time we all had this month for a huge 50^th wedding anniversary. From the responsiveness from Jr over the course of the planning down to the attentiveness the night of the event from the bartenders who helped me move all the tables and set everything up just as I envisioned, it could not have gone smoother. Beautifully done event space!!! You don’t need too many of your own touches because it’s got so much character already all around. The band we had that night didn’t interfere with the conversations at the bar or the laughter coming from the photo booth. It looks like one big hall but is really 3 unique spaces that can all see into each other. If you are looking for a venue, this place is worthy to be on everyone list.

A new favorite! Discovered this gem on a Sunday afternoon drive via iPhone/​Siri. Brewster’s in Galt popped up with a 4 star rating so we decided to check the place out.
Totally worth to stop! Walked into a warm & inviting place with wonderful smells emitting from the kitchen. We were seated immediately (Sunday appears to be a quiet day in this quaint little town) and were greeted by an efficient, welcoming & informative waitress named Jenna.
I had a fabulous Prime Rib/​French Dip sandwich recommended by Jenna and my honey had a yummy Pulled Pork Sandwich. Definitely worth ordering again, though we will both likely try one of the other wonderfully described items on the menu. The dinner menu looks amazing!
Jenna was kind enough to offer a brief tour of the private banquet facilities after our meal and I can honestly say I started mentally planning out my next big event in the beautiful space.
Looking forward to dining alfresco on the lovely patio when the temperatures warm up.

Other than the fact they served me wine in a martini glass … The food was really good and the restaurant is beautiful

My first visit. Very impressed! Burger was superb. Food fresh and cooked exactly as ordered.
They have Guinness on tap!
Will definitely be coming back to try the steak or prime rib.

The owner argued with me when we didn’t eat his food and told him it was tasteless when we came in late one night. He told us the chicken was pre marinated and all the sauces. Makes sense. They threw Italian parsley on pasta and called it Italian. Customer is always right. Go anywhere else! He’s the only one that found this review funny because he doesn’t want to lose business. When he saw me writing a review on Unilocal he came and complained some more. Please don’t feed this money hungry business owner. Cares more about the look of your plate then the taste. Spend $ 60 on two plates for tasteless food if you want.

The service is terrible. I won’t ever go back unless by some weird twist of the universe, a group I’m with wants to go there. Even then? I’ll just drink Bud light. Can’t mess up

It really sucks that this place is so awful. I want to like it because the ambiance is great and the owner is a hell of a nice guy. But every time I go there, I walk out disappointed.

Yesterday was my first time eating here and I gotta say I’m really happy with this place! Not many places in galt have vegetarian/​vegan options and I was really happy to see that they had good options on the menu. I had the veggie burger with the soup of the day which was a tomato ravioli soup, it was so delicious! I’ve always passed by here but never gone in, it’s beautiful inside and the patio looks even more inviting. I definitely plan on coming here again.

First time eating here and I can say I am IMPRESSED not only with the food but also with the service.
Kim S. our waitress is amazing, lively and funny from the very beginning of walking into the restaurant we were greeted with sincerity and every time my glass was empty she would swoop in like a beverage ninja to quickly refill my glass I do not believe that 5 stars is a big enough rating for the service and the establishment two thumbs way way up!
Will be returning again we already reserved a spot with Kim for our next visit.

This place is a hidden Gem. One I was blown back that they actually serve fried green tomatoes of course I ordered them and yes they were fresh and very good. I also tasted a loaded potato skin that left me wanting more. I ordered the sautéed prawns which were not over cooked and were extremely flavorful. I ordered a Washington Apple cocktail that was sooo yummy I almost ordered another. The service was impeccable and the feeling was very welcoming. They had the most coolest glass floor which shows off their spectacular wine cellar down below. I will most definitely continue to return to this establishment;)

When a bartender spills an entire tray of drinks into your purse and fills it with water ruining your phone and the only thing the owner says is you bumped into her (excuse me for NOT having eyes in the back of my head) you learn what kind of business is being run. I will never step foot in this establishment again!

One of my absolute favorite places in Galt! JR and his staff really kick butt to endure customer satisfaction. Love going there for Sunday brunch, or dinner out on the back patio. The bar selection is also great and JR can shake up some mean cocktails! It’s a perfect place for an event as well

Ok so I tried once again to like this place. I was invited to a brunch for a group. I thought for $ 37.00 it should be decent but again i was WRONG! They served scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, muffins and danish’s. seriously for $ 37? I could have spent $ 10 and had better food at Dennys, that’s how gross it was.
First off that is breakfast not brunch. Secondly, the eggs were full of water and not just a touch but literally almost a full inch of water IN the eggs at the bottom of the pan. The bacon was nearly raw and unedible. Its pork people it is health code that it must be cooked throughly! The potatoes were ok but there was no seasonings at all. Completely tasteless.
The muffins were good but cold and the danish’s were icy. They were clearly store bought and frozen but at least they had taste. They could have taken a few seconds to at least take the freeze off of them.
So once again I’m not impressed at all. I do love the building and the antiques are gorgeous but again the food is aweful and prices are way to high. I have seriously tried to give this place a chance but after trying for a few years I’m done. At the prices they charge you would think your getting gourmet food. I guess people don’t know what gourmet food should taste like. At least put some seasoning on the food.

Great patio! Awful service! Waiting forever for anything. Seemed very unorganized. Food was really good. Seems sad because if service was good I would come back.

There we not a lot of strictly vegetarian dishes, but this is a very nice place to bring your date or out of town guests. They also have a banquet hall, for events.
Food is mostly «American» standards like burgers, steak, and seafood. There are several excellent salads. Not many draft beers, but plenty of bottled beer and wine.
This is a family owned restaurant and the service is very attentive. We had date night here and enjoyed it very much.

This place is located in old part of town of Galt! It’s a really nice old building with character. Love the old brick, nice wall paper, great wood work, and the tin ceilings. Galt really doesn’t have as many eatery places… more fast food types. It’s a fantastic brunch outing with the family! They also have a nicely decorated outdoor patio area if you enjoy eating outside.
They have a nice variety menu items. Anything from burgers, sandwiches, salads, to breakfast stuff. Full bar of mix drinks, beer, wines, and sodas/​teas. They have a brunch menu, too. BTW, their salads off the menu is HUGE and yummy!!!
Their burgers are really good. I lovvvve their fries, too. I’ve had their breakfast, too. All meals are made to order and fresh. My family really enjoys their salads.
The staff has always been really nice and helpful. Our drinks are always refilled without asking. That’s a plus in my book. Great clean bathrooms. Very nice patio area.
If you’re in the area… give this place a try!!!

Ummm I’m beyond impressed with the salmon I ate here yesterday, one of the most perfected pieces of grilled salmon I’ve ever eaten! I was in Galt for work, I’ve never been here and my customer suggested we go to a bar and grill spot for lunch, I was a little weary.
It’s so cute when you walk in, the décor is beautiful, the chandeliers are gorgeous, the pictures and paint are all quite modern and the tables were nicely decorated also. The floor is very cool but very scary, I dare you to walk across it, I guess if you fell in you’d end up in their wine cellar which wouldn’t be that bad :)
I couldn’t decide between which salad I wanted and our server let me know how delicious their salmon was and she definitely was spot on! The grilled salmon salad was also a big portion with several other vegetables. I’ll be back in the area a few times this year and I’ll definitely be back to enjoy the fabulous food at Brewsters!

What can I say? We moved to Galt at the end of November and Brewster’s was the first place we went after moving here. We love the food and love the freshness of everything. You can tell that the ingredients are quality and the cook takes pride in what he does. The service has always been good and friendly. The owner is nice and funny as well. We’ve been there numerous times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we’ve yet to be disappointed! This is our go to place when we want to eat out in Galt.

Places with tons of reviews are so much easier to write about!
Pros–
This place has great décor. I love the brick against old fashioned wallpaper and the rich wooden booths. It’s got a cute little patio area as well with lots of personality.

The food is good. It’s mostly bar food, but it’s done right. We had some fried green tomatoes that were sweet and crispy… just delicious! Not easy to do. We sampled multiple items and they were all pretty good. Nothing horrible to speak of. 4 STARS
Cons —
Staff is not super skilled or friendly. When we walked in the“host” counted the three of us twice lol then stared at us until I asked for a table. Weird. The waitress wasn’t friendly at all. The bartender did a mediocre job on my drink. The chef came out and sat at the table next to us to read the paper after cooking our food. 1 STAR
The prices are too high. $ 13 BLT. I can get it at Beer Co in Lodi which is nicer for $ 9. Sounds like just a few bucks but a 30% price difference really shows when you get the bill at the end of the night. 2 STARS
Rounding up to three stars on this one… I would probably come back but there is definitely room for improvement.
