Toro Tamales

This man is a master of the tamale. I stopped by a new brewery in town last night to sample a couple beers and picked up 4 tamales to go; the Chicken Mole and Pork in red sauce. As I mentioned to Bobby, I had just returned from Portland and sampled a couple great Mexican food trucks including tamales. Bobby knocks them out of the park! I will be tracking him down in the near future and getting a dozen or two to go!

Amazing tamales. Always something different. Tonight I had a plantain tamale that was delicious. And it goes without saying the nachos are out of this world. I challenge you to find better! Thank you Bobby for that smile and laugh that always puts me in a good mood!

Oh they are good!!! The best I ever had seriously !!! We had them at a Unilocal event and I got the pork tamale WOW it was warm, texture great and nice portion of filling no sauce needed but the do indeed make a great hot sauce.

Toros Tamalas are some of the best I have ever eaten. I had the pork tamale, and it was perfectly moist and flavorful with delicious seasoning. The corn outer layer had a very subtle sweetness that was amazing.
I had their tamales at a tasting event, so I cant wait to get more!

Out of Galt California comes a delicious brand new catering business specializing in tantalizing tamales of all kinds. I’ve found them at a local brewery, today a winery having a Christmas party, and tomorrow we get to see them again at a Unilocal Elite Event at Laughs Unlimited!
These tamales are so good that I don’t mind having them two days in a row. I’ve had the beef and garlic, the chicken, and today I had the pleasure of sampling the cream cheese and jalapeños.
I think these folks have it down as far as choosing appropriate events (tamales and beer? Yes! Tamales and wine? You bet!) and at keeping their food fresh during transport. Mmmmm.
I am a huge fan. The owner is a really nice guy and so are the folks that work these events. Looking forward to running into Toro while out and about!
I get attached to things, and become stubborn like bull. It’s perfect, really. Also a Taurus. That might be part of it…

Sometimes all you need in life is some good conversation and a tamale.
Bobby makes dreamy, sinfully good tamales. My favorite so far is the beef and potato. They are piping hot and individually wrapped, so fresh!
I also love to add some of his secret hot sauce. It’s a little smokey, very spicy and just a hint of sweetness. Goes well with a little sour cream and is a perfect complement to these tasty tamale treats!
