I had a great pedicure and eyebrow waxing experience. The technician(sorry don’t know his name) was professional and courteous.

This is my first time at Sky Nails and Spa. I came here because they are right around the corner from my house and I didn’t feel like driving to my normal spot. They were friendly upon entering and quickly took me back. My nail tech offered me a bottle of water, which I thought was a nice touch. They have a pretty extensive pedicure menu but I wanted just the basic. The basic pedicure was $ 25, more than what I’m accustomed to pay but still not outrageous. I was a bit surprised that the basic pedicure doesn’t include callus removal or even a foot scrub for that matter. You know, the basic scrub with just the Pumice stone… no fancy stuff. I thought this was just part of a regular pedicure and not something I should be charged an extra $ 5 for. Either way, I had it done because my feet needed it. I can’t speak on the quality of their polish because I brought my own. I was a bit disappointed that my tech lacked customer service. He had an ear bud in and was talking on the phone during the entire length of my service. Although he did have a quiet voice, it did make it difficult for to me relax so I surfed my phone instead of tapping out. He must have also had allergies, as he sneezed often without covering his nose. Although this is more of a personal issue and shouldn’t reflect poorly on the establishment, it does because he was providing my service. As far as the turnout of my pedicure, my toes do look nice. There is a bit of rough edging where my one toe nail was not filed properly but nothing I can’t fix on my own. Overall, it was okay. It wasn’t enough to make me leave my usual spot but is good for when I’m in a pinch.

I found this place on Unilocal and even though the reviews were staggered, decided to give it a try for a pedicure. As soon as I walked in the door I was pleasantly greeted by a young man and asked to sign in. Before I even finished picking my color, Ken came and told me he was ready for me. He didn’t rush me, but it was nice knowing I wouldn’t have to wait, especially since I was a walk in.(It was a Thursday night, though, and only 2 other customers.) The water felt great and Ken was AMAZING! This was the VERY first time that I can remember getting a pedicure and not feeling any pain at all when they pushed my cuticles back. He took his time and it felt so good. Within 5minutes of him starting, I had already decided to come back. I got the Deep Cleaning pedicure for $ 35 and it was so wonderfully worth it. Ken was attentive, thorough and not heavy handed. The only problem I had was the chair(second from the back door) bc the massager remote kept turning off after less then 2 minutes. But honestly, I enjoyed my pedicure so much that I didn’t care. One more small drawback was they didn’t have the drying bar for my feet to dry. But since I had planned on wearing sandals out anyway, it wasn’t a huge deal for me. This place has been open for less than a year, so they may add the drying station later. But even THAT didn’t stop me from enjoying the pedicure or make me take away a star. Some other reviewers said they weren’t offered any refreshments, but I was offered water. I didn’t want anything else, though, so water was perfect. Also, Ken asked my name and was sure to use it often, even when I was leaving and he was doing something else. Also, I used their bathroom, which was also clean. Overall — Loved it! And I’ve already booked a soft appointment for 3 weeks from now

I enjoyed this place. I had bought a groupon for a pedi and mani. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I was skeptical about coming here at first because of some of the reviews but it turned out to be a nice place. I would definitely go back.

I know that this location changed ownership(maybe a year or two ago?) and I could not be more unimpressed with the new staff. I used to come here all the time and felt very welcome – now they do not even greet you when you walk in the door. It used to be the cleanest place in town and now it is very unappealing and unprofessional. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and had to initiate contact with gentleman working upfront. After waiting 5 minutes he told us it would be 30 more minutes. Not a problem for us so we left, ran some errands, and came back. They could not be bothered to say hello when we came back in and did not acknowledge our return. Finally they put us in pedicure chairs with cold water where we waited for another 20 minutes. I am not one to ever complain but I do work in the hospitality industry this was unacceptable. I do not mind waiting — things happen — but at least speak to your clients! I am here to spend money and when you act like I am a nuisance it is very unappealing. I will not be back.

I had a difficult time finding it, not sure if its on Unilocal or Apple but I used the Unilocal listing and used my phone for directions to the address and it took me right past it! Good thing their sign is so big, I was able to circle back around and get where I needed to be. Once I got there I got a pretty decent pedicure. The check in offer is pretty useless as its only applicable to one of the more expensive mani/pedi options, the lady at the front desk also tried to apply an additional coupon for me which was nice. Before i went to get my pedicure I visited my local waxing place to get my eyebrows done so I was slightly offended when she asked if I was getting my brows done there too. Once they were done I was set under the dryer then kinda just left. I was never offered anything from their«refreshment» bar and had to wait on someone so i could check out. Overall if I cant get to one of the other nail places in the area I would go back, but its not somewhere I would make a special trip for.

Pretty solid pedicure. I got the«Deep Clean» and it was pretty good. Not the craziest pedicure ever, but good enough(I still prefer Star Nails in Gambrills). Don’t be fooled by the $ 30 pedi/mani deal. That’s basically just for a glorified polish change. That pedi won’t even cover callouses or give you a foot mask or anything. Also, if you plan on using your check-in offer for $ 5 off a spa pedicure/manicure, the operative word here is «spa.» It will not apply to the basic mani/pedi deal for $ 30, rather only to the upgraded pedi/mani packages that start at $ 54. Not much of a savings if you ask me. I do appreciate their customer discount card and their ‘refreshment station” that has nothing but candy, soda, and water — and wine, although it was too early in the morning for me to dabble. I will definitely give them another go, but wasn’t overly wowed this first time in.

UPDATE! My nail polish was starting to look dull and chip on one or 2 fingers. I decided to take it off on Sunday – a full 7 days since my visit. I took out my nail polish remover, cotton ball and started rubbing. Well wouldn’t you know! After about a 2 minutes trying to get the polish off and it not budging – it dawned out me that I had been set-up. My nail polish must’ve been mixed with a gel nail polish. This stuff wasn’t coming off with regular remover. I needed acetone. I had to go to a local nail salon and pay $ 10 to get them to soak it off for me.(They were nice about not charging me more after I told them I was set-up.) I was a little deflated concerning the salon – b/c it’s not easy to find a good nail salon – better yet a clean one. I won’t be back — as I did NOT want a gel manicure but a regular manicure. I don’t plan on getting gel manicures at all. I’ll keep on my search for a trustworthy nail salon.

This was my first time going to this salon and I had a great experience! I went in and explained that I wanted a full set of acrylics, french manicure, and clear gel on top so that the french manicure would last. The lady suggested that I get«pink and whites» instead and I decided to go with her suggestion but explained that I didn’t want the pink part to look unnatural. Long story short, she did a wonderful job on my nails and I will be returning to this salon. I believed the«pink and whites» are also known as «light concept nails» where sculpting powder is used to build the nail so there is no use for a fake nail or tip to be applied. After all of the nails were sculpted, she applied the clear UV gel to give my nails a shine like a topcoat would give, my nails cured for 30 seconds and I was done! This whole process cost $ 55 plus tip which was not bad because it was a full set. I was informed that a fill would only cost $ 25 — $ 35 depending on whether I get just the pink part filled or the whole nail filled(both include a free cut down). The young lady that did my nails was very nice, answered my questions, and was very attentive. From what I could see the salon was very clean, which is a must for me. I noticed they have a «refreshment» center and they make sure to address clients by name, which is a nice touch. I signed up for their customer loyalty program and received a $ 10 off coupon for my next visit. For my first visit, I was extremely pleased and would definitely recommend this salon.
