Al Sultan Restaurant

Grew up in Dearborn, and this is my new favorite restaurant!!! Great food, and service.

Hey what can I say, I’ve been going to this restaurant for 15 years and I’ve always been happy with their awesome and delicious food, and their service… I love their homos and their fatoosh salad is awesome. Definetly recommend giving them a try if you haven’t yet

I used to love this place! The past 3 times we have been here it has been horrible. We ordered carry out New Year’s Day and when I got home I was beyond disappointed. I had ordered 3 chicken shawarma sandwiches and an order of grape leaves. The shawarma was made with old, dried out chicken that was not even remotely warm. My girlfriend and I couldn’t even stomach eating one a piece. The tomatoes were so mushy I actually thought they may have used stewed tomatoes. The 3^rd shawarma was actually thrown away. The grape leaves used to be my favorite. No longer is that the case. They used to have the perfect blend of meat, rice and spices. Now they are made with next to no meat and the rice is like mush. I will find another location to enjoy middle eastern food from now on.

It was very bad experience. grape leaves was terrible meet was dry have no test. shrimp gallaba was the worst… over all extremely bad food I will never go there again. we went there based on reviews

My girlfriend and I tried this place because we were in the mood for something different. We liked the Unilocal reviews, and we were not disappointed at all! The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. We ordered the arayes appetizer and a combo for 2, and we ended up getting 4 meals out of it. Honestly, we would have been happy with the arayes and an order of hummus, but the flavors kept coming, and we weren’t complaining!

Love this place, been going here for yeears! Never had bad food or bad service. Everything is great! Actually my mouth is watering looking at all the pics, might have to have this for dinner actually!

Best place ever! I moved away for military but we always come home now and get the food! Last night we ordered the Specialty 2. $ 80 and fed us for 2 meals for 6 people each time! Well worth it!

Very good food. I had the mixed shawarma wrap, most authentic middle eastern food I’ve tasted in a long time.

Every time I come to visit my family in GC– I can’t wait to go to Al Sultan’s !
The food is AMAZING. so fresh & delicious !! You can’t beat the prices either.

First of all, shout out to Alex — you the realest.
Secondly, when we got there I kinda expected a more upscale restaurant, but it seemed more of a family style place that was heavily parked up and busy with people eating or coming in for their orders, so you know something’s good when you see that.
When we got there, we were quickly seated and greeted by our server — Alex. He was very nice, but laid back in a manner where I felt I was talking to someone cool and genuine and not just someone working and being nice for the job. I ordered the boneless grilled chicken whole plate with a mango smoothie and the person I was with got a mixed plate and Hawaiian smoothie.
For starters, we got our bread and veggies before we even got our menus, (water included.) so that’s a big plus. After which, we got our respective salad and soup. By the time we just finished, our main course was already coming to the table. I’ve never gotten my meal so fast in my life, let alone THAT MUCH food. Not only that but it definitely deserves all the five star ratings it was getting.
I spent almost 50 for the meal and I don’t say this a lot, but this is one of the places I would say deserves the price range for their food and service. A definite must-​go to. I’ll be coming back again.

I love trying new foods especially when out of town. I had a small and simple cabbage salad which was lightly seasoned and dressed with red vinegar and oil. I had a small chicken and lentil soup which was quiet flavorful. And a small order of baba ghanoush served with pita. Nothing is small about these orders. They were great leftovers! And lastly, freshly made carrot juice! I would definitely come back and try anything off their menu. Yum!

I am RARELY, if ever, disappointed here. The staff is always friendly and treats you like family.
The food is ALWAYS on point, I am partial to the fattoush salad and hummus with sautéed chicken (boring I know) the lemon rice soup is insane as well (different than your average Coney Island chicken lemon rice soup). Everything looks good there, I may venture out of my comfort zone one of these days lol.
If you are in the Inkster/​GC area and are unsure of where to go, GO TO AL SULTAN! It’s wonderful and you won’t be disappointed ;)

Really reasonable prices. The Fatoush and hummus are amazing. I got the combo for one, which would feed my family of four for $ 22.50. My only complaint would be that the drinks are small, but there are free refills. The chicken shawarma was not as seasoned as I like it, but it was really well done, with light browning on the outside. Great place. Service is wonderful! Good family place, and they obviously take pride in it.

Excellent high quality, fantastic taste middle easter food. Best in class all around. Service is outstanding. Is a head to head competitor to La Pita but the warm customer focus outs it on top!

Great carry out and good pricing.

Al sultans has the best of everything!!! This is the only Lebanese place we eat at. The kibbie nay (raw kibble) is always fresh and seasoned to perfection. I would never eat it anywhere else!
The service is top notch! We live in flat Rock and travel to eat here. The portions are big so you’ll usually have leftovers. The hummus is delicious!

I haven’t eaten anywhere in Dearborn or anything so take this for what it is, but this place had the best chicken shawarma entrée I have ever had. The chicken was​.just​.so excellent. That nice char crunch on the outside, deliciously flavorful and not dry. It was legit shawarma. Their garlic is by far better then anything I have experienced within the short driving distance of Commerce/​Novi.
Their kafta is excellent as well. We ordered a ton of kafta and chicken shawarma sandwiches along with the shawarma entrée (which comes with rice, pickled cabbage, onions/​parsley, pita, lettuce, a TON of chicken and a side salad or soup).
I will be going back here, but now I need to go to Dearborn.

First time here. I like that it opens early so I could get my carryout on my way by. Got the chicken shwarma, mujadra sandwich, side of hommus and 2 sides of garlic. $ 15.
I wish they would have given me more pita. Other than that minor complaint, though, it was quite good.
From the outside it doesn’t look super great, but it is a diamond in the ruff.
