Recently visited for a quick lunch. There are two tables outside and a few more inside. The turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich was well made with plenty of fresh turkey. The others in my party ordered a grilled cheese with ham which was crunchily delicious and a salad with grilled chicken with fresh ingredients. I would return.

Great sandwich shop. I had to search them in Unilocal to give a review; they didn’t pop up on my general search. A colleague and I stumbled on them when the Garden City Bistro was too crowded. We both had the roast beef sandwich. Very good. Soft bread and high quality roast beef. Also, they have a sauce that is a mixture of mayo, mustard, and horse radish sauce. I really enjoyed this sandwich. There is essentially no seating(one small table), so to-go is your best bet. They don’t deserve the lower ratings, in my opinion. Service was prompt.

We had the unfortunate luxury of getting cupcakes from Culinary Heights this month for a triple office birthday. One of the girl’s who’s birthday we were celebrating was also the person who bakes the cupcakes — so for this one, we had to rely on outside assistance. To be honest, I think we were all excited to try something new so when we had the opportunity to reach out to an outside bakery for this awesome endeavor — we did so with very open arms. Well, we should have closed our arms — quickly. The cupcakes came and for $ 70 — we had the driest and hardest cupcakes in the history of mankind. Sadly enough, we ended up throwing most of them away — it was a sad scene and I am positive that the cupcake gods were staring down at us with red in their eyes. This bakery should step their game up, it really tasted and looked like nothing was fresh. With that being said — we will not be giving this bakery another try.

The fresh sandwiches were surprisingly good but it was overpriced for the portion size and quality. If you are going to charge that much, the food has to be kicked up another notch. Otherwise, it was a good sandwich.

Very yummy prepared food and catering… a tad expensive, but hey, it’s Garden City. And it’s worth it– the parties that Mary and Norm cater are always really well-organized, staffed by great people, and always have great food(for cocktail parties, the mini beef wellingtons and potato pancakes are the best!). The food in the store is perfect for a quick dinner to go– and the cookies are delicious. The only thing I would avoid are the candies, sodas, and other assorted manufactured products on the shelves– they’re overpriced and not worth it compared to the homemade stuff behind the counter.
