Cedarbrook Dance Center is nestled away in the back of an business office park off of Garden Grove blvd and right by the Haster Street exit of the 22 freeway. The couple who runs and owns are gems. They are a dream to work with if you are hosting an event or attending one here. The dance center has a small store where you often order items in advance and can pick them up when you then get to the dance hall. They have 2 quite sizable dance halls which can easily accommodate 2 different events during the same time, each with their own set of bathrooms and small kitchen area, complete with fridges. I have danced here numerous times as a Square dancer, whether it was at a Square Dance Caller College or workshop, at a beginners square dancing class( ) or one of the many dances held there on Friday and Saturday nights. SoCal Pluses: PLENTY of free parking(you know how we care.). And when you are there all day for a workshop, there are a number of fast food places(El Pollo Loco) right nearby. I was the organizer for the New Dancers of late 2013/early 2014 for the Orange county area of ASQD last year, the annual Leprechaun Ball in March( ). They were so super easy to work with, readily accessible by phone and email. It was a delight. Eileen showed up early/on time to unlock the hall and help us to set up. Note: if you want to decorate the walls at all with any little festive wall hangings for the occasion, you must use the blue semi-non-stick electricians tape. You can get some nearby at the home improvement store.
