The CHURCHMICE are such a fun loving and friendly social dance group and club. They have dancers of all ages, including some teenagers and young marrieds(who wear cute matching sports shirts with mice on the back). Their beginners square dancing class starts some time in early of the month of SEPTEMBER each year on Sunday evenings and is taught by fun and engaging caller Dan Clairmont ). He calls to all kind of music, making it more fun for all different music tastes. Often your first class is free. In the Cedarbrook dance complex nearby the 22 fwy and the Hastor Street exit. Plenty of free car as well as motorcycle parking space. Kid and family friendly. Great for boy and girl scouting troops, home schoolers looking for wholesome physical activities with some American historical attributes, church and temple groups. Casual dress is encouraged, but ladies, if you’re anything like me, even when I would dance WCS — West Coast Swing at Upstairs at Beardsley’s( ) in downtown San Mateo wearing jeans, I’d be in dance shoes and a casual top with some sparkle or fringe. But it’s all your choice. If you’re more comfy in khaki cargo shorts and a sports shirt, have at it.
