Came in on a Tuesday afternoon & it was quite poppin’. There are plenty of tables & the place is pretty big. The phở was pretty good. The milk tea was a little too sweet. There are cheaper phở places around the area, with about the same quality in taste. Only came here because my grandma likes it & thinks it’s cleaner than most places. The one thing I really dig is that they have a place for you to put your purse underneath the table. It’s nice to know you don’t need to put your purse in your lap or on the floor, so you can really feel comfortable while eating.

Went here on 1÷24÷16 for lunch. First things first — this place was packed on a Sunday afternoon. I grabbed a table for 2 while Brian P. grabbed macarons at Broddards. If your party isn’t there, waiters won’t take a drink order, or ask you if you’d like to order anything whatsoever. Brian finally showed up and I ordered a bowl of phở(combo 1) & an appitizer of pork rolls(A6) for us to share. Unfortunately, the food was extremely bland. The rolls tasted better the next day out of the fridge, but the phở was unsatisfying. Prices were decent and service was so so, definitely in no hurry to run back.

A ho-hum Phở experience considering the locale. Located smack dab in the middle of Garden Grove’s venerable Phở belt, one would think Phở Pasteur Hien Vuong’s bowl of Phở should rival Phở Lu, Phở 45 or even Phở 79. Even the swank digs(for the area anyway) beckon for an incredible bowl of slurpables. At any rate — It took me exactly zero seconds to decide what to order once my eyes spied the Phở Kobe on the large menu and the food came back to me seemingly as fast as I could order. A large bowl of broth was sat before me flanked on one side with thinly sliced pieces of fresh«Kobe» beef and a small cauldron of broth heated by sterno on the other for you to cook your beef to a custom temperature. The great part of this is you can have the protein rare if you like, or you can nuke the hell out it. It is your call. I immediately wished all bowls of Phở Tai could come in this fashion going forward. The Beef and noodles both hold up their end of the bargain admirably but the single most important part of Phở is where the problem is: The broth. It is really boring. I could not detect any star anise whatsoever. What is Phở without anise? There is also an absence of savory beef in the soup so I had to do quite a bit of doctoring with Sriracha, Plum and Hoisin sauce. Doctored Phở is not awesome Phở. The Vietnamese coffee of the other hand was quite nice. I had the B1 Iced Coffee which is a delicious form of caffeinated rocket fuel that will not let Viet-style coffee lovers down a bit. At $ 2.50, this is a steal. Chances are slim I will return for another bowl of Phở at Phở Pasteur Hien Voong anytime soon but I would gladly visit again to grab another delicious coffee.

I love Phở Pasteur! My uncle and I really enjoy this restaurant very much! When we just walked into the restaurant, the waiter greeted and seated us right away. We weren’t rushed and they were able to give us some time to read through our menus. Plus, there weren’t that many people eating at this evening which caused our food to come out fast. My Phở Ga is good and the broth is very sugary sweet. It is strange that they serve my chicken pieces on a plate instead of putting them in my bowl(every other Phở restaurants doesn’t do that). Overall, the service is great. Very nice and friendly people. They all communicate in English and Vietnamese very well with customers. I can see a great teamwork connection between employees, they should keep on doing that!

Worst service ever! And my dad still tipped them well because he felt bad that the waiters were(probably) students… Seriously, how long does it take to get some food? We get seated right away and place our order. I don’t want to be mean but my family were almost done eating when I received my food. I guess I ordered the wrong food because it took forever and it tasted like MSG. I got the shaking beef with tomato rice. Everyone else got some sort of noodles and I’m pretty sure they just forgot my order. We told a waiter and they said okay… Time passed… We told an older lady and then they brought it out after the 2nd reminder. Ugh. Okay I get it, you’re busy, but that kinda sucks. Food wasn’t even that great. I really don’t recommend the shaking beef and tomato rice. Beef was okay but the rice was not good at all. And I love tomato rice! So not worth $ 10. Parking is in a huge shared lot. I’m sure you’ll find something eventually but it gets pretty crowded at night because of 85c, Garlic & Chives, and Brodard.

First time here and it was surprisingly very good! We ordered phở and bun and it literally came out in 5 minutes or less! The waiters were very nice and efficient. Food and vegetables were fresh and nicely presented. Would definitely come here again!
