I have been going to Star Keg for a bit. From old owner to now the Sams. The amount of change, selection and service is the best. I love microbrews, and they have a huge selection, and always ask my opinion and what else can they provide. I am very into supporting local owned businesses, and I am very proud they are in the neighborhood. It’s a very clean place, and well maintained. Small business, locally owned, providing great customer service and a huge selection of microbrew and wine, as well as snacks and food.

The store is pretty small. It has all of your basic liquors and beers but nothing too crazy or rare. Because it’s a small’s family owned store the prices could be a bit higher about $ 1-$ 2 more than the average larger stores like Walmart Kmart and liquor outlet stores. For example a small 1 L bottle of Coke and pint of Jack Daniels whiskey was $ 17.

Well one day I was riding my beach cruiser, I may have rode for about 3 miles on my beach cruiser, with a basket, and my water bottle was empty. It was maybe around 90 out and i was dehydrating, luckily I was next to a liquor store, star liquor. I went in, I wasn’t greeted at all, but there was this cute shaved head worker working. He helped me find the right drink to quench my thirst, oh he was so nice, I wanted to quench his thirst! After that I thanked him and asked him if he wanted to see my pretty pink beach cruiser but he nicely declined and sai he had a lot of supplies to unpack. I wish I can unpack his supplies, but anyways star liquor us a nice and good place!

Thank god for Star Liquor. So I had a horrible day taking pictures of screaming korean and vietnamese preschoolers. You have no idea what kind of special hell it is taking pictures of crying and screaming 2, 3, and 4 year olds. So me and my assistant left hell and lo and behold there was Star Liquor. I went in to get bottled water(ok maybe in the back of my mind I wanted alcohol) and there was my old friend soju gleaming from in the refrigerated case. I was impressed. This store had a really good variety of Soju and other alcohols. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and was impressed I talked to him in my broken ass korean. The prices were very reasonable for soju and everything else in the store. Ok so I did end up buying some soju and taking a couple of swigs. I needed it. If you live in the OC around this area I definitely recommend going there for all of your alcohol needs!
