BESTTRIPATACOS I’ve ever tried. The serving is a little slow but it worth the wait. Try this place for some odd ball protein choices and you won’t be disappointed. Tripas Lingua Cabeza Etc. Definitely coming back here for tripas from now on.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you can never go wrong at Lagunillas. Their food is BOMB! Authentic Mexican food that doesn’t break the bank. I’ve tried several of their dishes(breakfast & dinner). My go-to-favorite is the Chorizo con huevos. I add their delicious green salsa and it’s heaven in my mouth! The hand made tortillas are the winning touch as well! Their Pollo con Mole is also bomb! If you’re craving menudo(tripe) heres the place to try it. I also enjoy the Café de Olla, quesadillas, etc. They do a pretty good job at keeping their restrooms clean, although the lighting is quite dim. And the service is good. The girls are pretty friendly. Needless to say, if you’re looking for a quick authentic Mexican place, go to Lagunillas!

If for better service, a brighter sense of customer appreciation(or if for simply a smile), I’d bump to four stars. Because, I mean, Lagunilla’s tacos aren’t bad, not in the least; and the prices, comparable: Barbacoa Lamb $ 2.20 Asada $ 1.60 Pastor $ 1.40 Suadero Top Sirloin $ 1.40 Carnitas $ 1.40 Pollo $ 1.40 Chorizo $ 1.40 And since Lagunilla – when we went, anyway – was completely empty(weekday, mid-afternoon), we thought bringing in a little business would be applauded.(You’d think building a strong customer base and making a profit would a good thing.) But, today, maybe not: the girl working the counter, not having a good day, I suppose. Anyway, it showed. Tacos, in any case, are competitive. Literally, they’re everywhere: some not-so-bad, some better, and some spectacular! But look, Lagunilla, I gave you a shot, and I’d be willing to give you another. That is, of course, if you’re even interested.

I have been coming here since they opened .up till a few years ago i considered them to be the best authentic taco joint in garden grove. the old man and his wife were always a pleasure to see. over the last few years the old man and wife no longer come in. the family opened a second restaurant and the original has suffered. the first step downhill was when they removed the fresh pico di gallio salsa from the salsa bar. then recently they stopped giving it out even when i ask for it with meals. the meals are hit and miss now. the son is capable of running this place right but seems to have his hands full at the new location. the last time i went in there seemed to be no family members in sight. my last visit i happened to get a miss when i ordered the machaca smaller then normal portion, chunks of fat in the meat and full of lil red peppers to the point that even after i picked them all out it was almost inedible from being spicy hot. they seem to be doing some staff changes right now and i hope they can return to greatness atm i would waver between 2 – 4 stars depending on hit or miss. 1 star will always be removed until the fresh pico salsa comes back

Below average Mexican food. The place is bland, it really has no spark, from the location to the food. In my very humble and personal opinion this place is quite bad. The food is really nothing special and for what they serve you it’s kind of expensive. The tacos are regular tacos made from tortillas from the grocery store. The meat is no great quality and the Tortas are just there. Honestly not much going on. Just another Mexican restaurant to eat at.

Fast, friendly, clean and delicious! Had some Tripas Tacos and it was so good I wanted to go back for more a couple hours later. Their salsas are spicy and flavorful. I’m just really happy to have found somewhere in the OC that offers decent tripas!

The food was great. They were really kind in helping me understand the menu as it is all in Spanish. Ended up eating some plate they made just for me. Only reason for the 4 star rating is the bunch of flies i had to share my food with. Must try place, but bring bug spray. The sodas were all from Mexico(i think) so I would not recommend those, the bottle of Pepsi i got tasted a little bit strange, but i drank it none the less:) The«scenery» was nice too.

This is place was great when the original owner ran it, but now this place is fucking garbage. They have very ignorant waiter who you just want to fucking punch in the face! Tacos Mexico across the street is way better and the people and lovely!

I used to go here a lot when the pc spot next door was open. The service there was great when the father was there. Went here the other day, didn’t feel the love anymore, didn’t even want to serve me when I was 10 min in before they closed

Went in today to have lunch with my father you know casual father-daughter bonding, stood in line for 15 minutes until the ladies upfront decided to stop talking and tend to customers. The man infront of me brought his family and the new chick was so unwelcoming & looked so bored. When it was our turn to order(4 tacos) &2 sodas she looked as if we bothered her. We shrugged it off and sat down to wait for our food… waited…waited…almost 20mins for 4 tacos. I literally should have gotten up & went to taco bell across the street! My father and I finished our soda by the time she got there… with the wrong order of food! Aghh!!! There was flies everywhere and loud tvs, overall not a good experience. The food? Better off making a ramen at home, meat didn’t taste like anything & was hard! :/

Went here because it was near my house. Decided to finally walk in and order something. Unfortunately I have to agree with the bad reviews. Ordered a burrito which took a long time to get. I didn’t get that warm and fuzzy feeling from them, it was almost like the staff was bothered I was there. I ignored that thinking that the food would make up for it but unfortunately it didn’t. I’m not saying that the food was bad but for the price I paid and what I got other taco places make a better one. Needless to say I won’t be eating there in the near future. I do have to say that this is not the only business that I have seen this type of customer service. It seems it is a trend with this new generation of employees thinking that they don’t need customers and it is a privilege to frequent their businesses. I feel I can spend my money somewhere else.

I ate at about a dozen mexican spots when I was in Anaheim… this place was my favorite. They had sesos. which was rad. Some great tripas and lengua too!

Best wet burrito in Orange County hands down! I put it on my life! Instead of carne asada try substituting it with tripa!

How does this place only have 29 reviews ! I was in the mood for tacos & getting a little tired of my old taco truck on new hope and first. My friend lived near here and suggested it. Upon arriving it was packed. There was a taco man outside cutting up meat for pastor tacos. We orders inside then brought out receipt to the taco man outside. My only complaint is he took awhile to get our good to us. We order some asada too but it can put a lot sooner. The hot sauce is okay, not the spiciest but def not mild. They do however have grilled peppers on the side you can grab. The meat was beautifully cooked and the pastor wasn’t too sweet and the tortillas weren’t over oiled. My go to taco spot now if I’m around that area.
