I went to Gardena towers inn to inquire about a weekly room that I and my boyfriend wanted to stay at. To clarify things I am a gay man. So with that being said the guy who works the front desk asked how many beds I needed I told him 1. He asked who else would be staying in the room with me and I told him just my boyfriend. When I said my boyfriend he laughed in my face and thought that it was funny that my boyfriend and I wanted to stay at his hotel. He then called a little old lady with a walker over and started speaking in a different language in front of me and told her what I had told him. He then started laughing and she starred at me in shock. If anyone knows great customer service the first thing is, you never speak in a different language infront of people who only speak English. Second you never discriminate against someone and their personal beliefs, sexual orientation etc. So moving forward I was told that they had a room with two beds(even tho I requested 1) and they told me to look at it, I didn’t want to see it because I only wanted 1 bed but they insisted. I went inside the room and it was filthy and there were cigarettes in a ash tray that had just been put out. I also saw a dead roach on the floor by the bed. I was told that I would have to pay $ 372 plus tax for the room and extra bed. They refused to give me a room with 1 bed. I am disgusted and would NEVEREVER recommend this roach motel to anyone. They are very disrespectful!. I gladly turned down this offer and took my business else where ! I know everyone won’t agree with my life style and that’s fine, you can’t expect everyone to understand u, but in a place of business you respect people regardless of their personal life’s. But I guess some people don’t have the mental capacity to treat people with respect.

First and foremost I love the little old lady who works there. She is nice and sweet as sugar. Truth be told, this place is worth 2.5 stars but she is so nice she bumps it to 3-stars. She held a room for me on a busy night on just a verbal ask over the phone without even meeting me… As for the room, it is basic however it features a stove and mini-fridge, extra space for a little kitchenette area, so if you are doing an extended stay this is a great value hands down. Room rates are around $ 69 but the weekly rates give you a $ 50 to $ 100 discount. Walls are thin, so you need to use the air conditioner to provide white noise. Room was clean. Showers were AWESOME, tons of water pressure which is something I love. Only downside was my room, the shower drain was a little clogged, I forgot to tell them but I told them about other minor problems and they fixed them IMMEDIATELY so I’m sure if I told them they would have sent someone to fix it. OTher thing worth mentioning is TV gets about 9 channels. HBO, Stars, local cable, no major news network or ESPN. THis is one of those places where it is what I call, high quality cheap. Its cheap but«stayable». You don’t feel ripped off or like you stayed in a dump. So this is probably the best overall value for extended stay in the area hands down.

Have stayed here many times now, it’s not the Hampton but for the price and what you get I have no complaints. A kitchenette to cook dinner, it is dated but clean and the people that run it are very friendly. No commotion and it’s quiet. Also police patrol through the parking lot at night. Free WiFi as well. Close to stores and restaurants.

My girlfriend and I are staying at the Gardena Towers Inn, at the moment. The rooms are clean, there are rooms with kitchens available, since this used to be a apartment complex. The owners are very very cool and friendly. This is a great place to stay. It is close to all kinds of transportation and about 20 – 25 minutes from the beach(by bus) and even closer by car. There are many restaurants and stores in the area and the South Bay Galleria shopping district is really close by, as well. I really recommend this place!!! P. S. They do have daily and weekly rates, also.

Sharon S. must have come on a good day. I aggree with her that when it comes to fancy this place is NOT fancy at all, but they have FREE wireless internet, kitchen, shopping centers everywhere and 15 to 20 minutes drive from LAX. $ 250 was the OLD price now they are $ 325. I saw kids there but I think it’s for ADULTS no playground or kids stuff. There is a washer/dryer, drink machine, the surrounding is very clean but next door is a lot of construction going on. Bingo hall open around corner too. I selected this place for some friends to stay. Saw their ad on craigslist for a weekly price. as the other review said it could be quiet but at 7am they have these construction workers come in each morning and the loud NOISE began. My friends were so mad because we were out late and they were visiting l.a. and didn’t want to go over budget. but you cannot get decent sleep during the week. the place is old and there is a crazy weird guy who’s always in his red/burgundy colored SUV on the lot or he’s sitting in chair outside his door just watching all the time. The parking seemed very overcrowded. Hardly no place to park. My friends parked on street the first nite. they charge $ 325 for one week for a bed and small bed. the room had kitchen, showers. $ 5 for room key. I don’t recommend staying here even if your budget is nearly zero. for $ 100 more you can stay at like Extended Stay America or someplace because the construction was terrible.

THISPLACEIS A GREATVALUE. Its not fancy, its just a great deal. Free wireless, the rooms were clean, and the property was quiet. Best of all, its walking distance to food and markets, if you dont have a car. I expecially like that I can walk to get a starbucks in the am, and also have Chipotle, Panda Express, Yogurtland, and a albertson’s market walking distance. I can’t say its kid friendly, more adult friendly. UPDATED on 11.15.15 — A single room has changed in price due to new owners, so its $ 59 a day, plus tax so around $ 65.49, so perfect price while visiting family nearby in Torrance. I wasn’t there during the day but at night, it was fine, and quiet, and plenty of parking. –The weekly price has also changed, its $ 343 for a 1 bedroom and 376 for a two bedroom. I havent stayed in a suite room but they said it was $ 409 a week. Ive stayed here 4 times over the last 3 years. I haven’t had a problem but then again, im really clean and wash my dishes and tidy up after cooking so ive never seen a roach. –There was abosolutely no contruction going on when I came this week. It must have been a bad week for the last customer, bummer for them! But i do think this place for the price is a great deal.
