This place feels as if it was uprooted from Koreatown and plopped here in Gardena. It is definitely a hole-in-the-wall, with no blatant advertisements of the restaurant name on the outside or on the chopsticks/napkins. The servers do not speak much English and are very kind and patient, exuding a maternal feel. I ordered the buckwheat noodles with spicy sauce and vegetables because I was craving something really tasty. I got more than I asked for, since the noodles were basically drowning in the gochujang(red sauce) and sesame oil. The noodles were very thin and stretchy but picked up a lot of the sauce, so I felt like I was drinking the sauce. It also comes with a small soup, which had a really creamy sweet white broth that I really enjoyed. I would not order this noodle dish again, but would definitely come back for one of their soup dishes! Great options for hangovers or if you are suffering from a bad cold.

This place makes me so happy, especially on cold wintery days! Love their galbi tang! 2 big pieces of bone soup with all the Korean fixings! May not look like a lot of food compared to other Korean restaurants with more banchan varieties, but you will get stuffed. I always have a to go bag. Their samgye tang has a small whole chicken stuffed with rice. These soups tend to be on the bland side but must be eaten with the side dishes to be appreciated. Very healthy and so good! Yum.

This place is that hole in the wall, authentic Korean food that I crave whenever the weather gets cold or if I feel under the weather. Very good comfort food makes me feel better! Their side dishes are limited but they are delicious. Their style is similar to a fusion of «San» and«Han Bat Sul Lung Tang» in Ktown. They close at 9pm daily so order take-out if you’re running late. The parking lot is full often times and double-parkers make maneuvering difficult in a dark parking lot. Carpool recommended.

Soul lung tang was good. Ban chan was mediocre at best, but didn’t come here for ban chan. I just wished Kim chi was better. It was a bit old. I get that it’s supposed to be fermented, but it’s seen better days. As any other Korean mom & pop shop/restaurant, the customer service was muted. Nothing impressive. The server did her thing, nothing more. Bul go gi was way too sweet. Was a bit chewy too… My kid liked it fine. She was starving. I’ll come back for a second try because there isn’t any other Korean soup place I found that’s better around the South Bay Area.

When my wife is sick, I come here to order the Ssamgaetang and Yoogaejjang. Call in before so you don’t have to wait, it get pretty busy on weekend mornings.

Great place for comforting Korean soups! The staff was very friendly and attentive. They gladly refilled our small dishes without even requesting. They also happen to be trilingual. One of the servers spoke fluent mandarin!

If you’re Korean or love Korean comfort food you must come here! I was craving Galbi-Tang and Sul lung tang. My boyfriend and I got one and one and also ordered nokdu bindaetteok. The Pan Chang(small side dishes) are flavorful and delicious. It was on point! Reminded me a lot of my moms cooking :) The Sul Lung Tang comes with side condiments and you add in salt, spring onions, and hot chili paste to your liking. The meat is super tender and the noodle is chewy and tender. The broth is super clean and keeps making you want more. The Galbi Tang was flavorful and savory! You can’t go wrong! The nokdu bindaetteok was so gooood!!! It’s crispy on the outside and just delicious. It’s a must order. Overall I was super satisfied and my boyfriend and I are now going to regulars to this place. Thank you Unilocalers for helping me find this place!

I just want to start off by saying that I have had most Korean places in the Los Angeles area and this small restaurant is the best all-around joint I’ve ever had. I’ve had several of their dishes and none seem to disappoint. They’re known for their Sul Lung Tang and it does not disappoint! If you’re ever in the area, itchin’ for a great Korean meal, I recommend Jun Ju!

This place is great! I loved every single bite! I ordered the Ttekmandu Guk(my favorite comfort soup) and my boyfriend ordered the Gamjatang Ttukbaegi. We both visit Korea often so we know good Korean food and soup when we taste it. The Ttekmandu Guk soup was full of rice cakes and mandu. Mandu was very tasty and yummy. I do love spicy so for extra added flavor I always throw in some kimchi. The Gamjatang had so much pork in it and the stew was so flavorful. Every bite of both of our dishes was amazing! Definitely coming back! Restaurant was clean and good customer service.

Ive been here a couple times and never had to complain but today was totally rediculous. I dont understand the point of calling before and having to wait 15 more min and if you forgot my order than you couldve just apologized and ask for us to wait. I understand people can be forgetful and make mistakes but you have the audacity to lie to my face telling me that you remembered and didnt make it because it might get too soggy when I arrived at the exact time. Funny thing is I even called 2 hours before and ask to make sure that they got the order. She told me she got it and will have it ready at that time. Total disappointment today and managements gotta do something about this lady!

Did I already mention how delicious this place is? I guess I have. But it’s been awhile so I’m gonna rave about this place again. It’s definitely super low key. Don’t expect any fine dining here. Just solid great food and consistently great customer service. What more can you ask for? Yummy kimchi? Yes. And if you really appreciate sulung tang, like the simplest barest beef bone soup form, here is the place. And possibly ONLY place that uses organic beef. That is big in my books. So much more nutrition. Don’t forget to add your own salt though. That’s your fault if it’s «bland». Oh snap!

Mmmm I love Sul Lung Ttang! It’s seriously one of my favorite Korean soups :) I stumbled upon this place after a recruitment event for work and was pleasantly surprised at how many Korean places there are to eat in Gardena. This place is small and wasn’t overly packed when I went which was around lunch time on a Thursday. They serve various Korean soups but the Sul Lung Ttang(oxtail soup) that I ordered was $ 8.99. The credit card minimum is $ 10.00 so I ordered the Kimchi Jjigae(spicy cabbage soup) to go which was also $ 8.99. The Sul Lung Ttang was so good(if you’re non Korean or a first timer, make sure you put a little bit of salt before putting a huge amount in the soup since it comes on the side). This place supposedly has organic beef which is pretty rare for Korean food places. I really like places that have the green onions on the side so you can put however much you want in the soup without continuously asking for more. This place gave a good amount of banchan(side dishes) and they were all packed with flavor and complimented the soup. The service from management was sub par and there was only one waitress busting her ass off. She was bussing, taking the orders, prepping the side dishes, ringing people up, etc. I actually felt really bad for her but she remained nice and consistent. The only thing that bothered me was that I specifically ordered the to go soup so that I can pay with my credit card and once I was ready to pay, the waitress told me their machine for credit transactions was down and I needed to pay with cash. I literally had to leave to find a Chase to pull out money. Although it was pretty inconvenient and a waste of my time, the waitress was extremely apologetic and I left her a big tip because she was so sweet. I would definitely go here again!

For the South Bay, this place is not bad. Very clean interior and the bone soup comes out«lava» hot. They also have a good boiled dumpling dish. I came on a Sunday morning to nurse a hangover and to my surprise, this place was packed. I will definitely be back again.

Jun Ju Sul Lung Tang’s food is good most of the time… but what is Kimchi Jigae where the predominate ingredient is onion? What’s with a bowl of Kimchi goodness that only has a few stragglers of Kimchi in a less than flavorful broth? It was so lacking that there was no option but to return it back to the kitchen. The waitress offered to add more Kimchi and bring it back, but it needed more than that! She took it back and we happily continue our meal… that is until the bill came. They charged us for the jigae! «You want to what?! To pay for a crappy dish that we returned?» We asked to talk to the owner(the waitress is a really sweet lady) and the owner’s response was that she was watching us from the video camera and saw us eat the jigae — STALKER!!! That’s just creepy! «You know if we didn’t taste your crappy food we wouldn’t know it was CRAPPY!» — ok we were a bit more diplomatic about it. We had three bites maybe four and they want to charge us a lousy $ 10 in addition to the whole spread we were will to pay for. She threatened to call the police. Now you never, and I mean never want to bluff me! In the end they took off the charge. We tipped the waitress well — I truly felt sorry for her — and we were on our way. Next time? Whenever I get the urge to be spied on I’ll call the FBI. At least they won’t be smart enough to be slick about it.

My goto place on Sunday morning in the south bay! It’s quite good and they open at 7am! I wish they were closer but willing to make the drive for their soup. The side dishes are pretty good too! I usually get a soup and the pork bbq which comes with lettuce so you can wrap it. Delicious!

Pretty good sullungtang-stick to it. I actually think the sullungtang here is better than any other place you will find in South Bay, and therefore, I will come here more often with my morning sickness that can only take certain kinds of Korean food. The galbi tang was pretty good, but i think the more impressive part of it was the presentation. Galbi was kinda dry. Avoid going there alone during lunch hours. The servers were all so overwhelmed when I was there. Took me forever to get a glass of water… Basically, do not expect any kind of decent service. You need to tough it out for the food, I guess.

Jun Ju Sul Lung Tang is a nice, small, and cosy home style Korean restaurant that is known for its hot soup/noodle like dishes. Jun Ju Sul Lung Tang is my go to place in the Torrance/Gardena area for Sul Lung Tang! Sul Lung Tang is a Korean Ox tail/bones broth soup that is just amazing to try especially on a cold night during the winter seasons. They also have two side containers where you can also add green onions and salt to your soup. Sul Lung Tang $ 8.99 Pros: –Best Sul Lung Tang in the area –They also offer other soup like dishes in the store that are also tasty like Samgye Tang and Galbi Tang. –The staff there also speaks good english so don’t worry on the about the language barrier. –Great tasting kimchi and banchan –Reasonable prices and generous portions –They use organic beef =)(that is always a BIG plus) Cons: –At night it might be hard to find parking since the restaurant is located inside the plaza and it gets quite busy around that time. Overall, a must for Sal Lung Tang and soup lovers and this is one of my favorite comfort foods for sure.

Probably one of the best sul lung tang places in the oc area. My all time favorite place is in la but this place comes real close. I like that they have a few more options of the soup than other places. Yet at the same time the menu is short and simple and focus on their specialties instead of having a huge menu of «okay» items. The kimchi is really good. I always say that if you’re a Sul lung tang restaurant and you’re kimchi sucks then your food sucks lol Very quiet, I haven’t really seen them busy but i usually go close to mornings-afteroons. My dad and I always eat here as «our spot» and if I’m sick he’ll always togo it for me on his way home:’)
