This is hands down the most fun I’ve ever had eating sushi in my 30 years, and the same goes for my husband’s 51(today!!!) years! We live an hour away, and we will be back! The people who work here are amazing, all of them. Sweet, friendly and funny! They make you feel welcomed and like they are actually glad you are there, it’s a Tuesday and maybe it’s slower then normal, but boy are still ready to party! I love it! We sat at the conveyor belt area and grabbed as much as we could until our little bellies were satisfied. The sushi was delicious and fresh and very well priced! Come and check them out!

I went in last night with friends to get a few drinks. The server and manager lied to us, claiming that the open tables were reserved. This restaurant does not take reservations. They continued to lie to us about why they would not seat us, and after 20 minutes of banter, they finally admitted that they did not want to serve us alcohol so late. I don’t care if you don’t want to serve us late, but why waste my time by lying for 20 minutes. The manager would not speak with us, nor look at us. It was very disrespectful, even though I gave my full respect to the employees there while speaking with them. I sincerely hope the business owner takes notice to behavior like this. Unprofessional, unproductive, and flat out disrespect. I will never be returning, and will make sure to sway others to stay away themselves. Good luck with business, chumps.

The amount of disrespect I was shown this evening at dinner was disrespectful and so unacceptable. The owner was incredibly rude and knows nothing about customer service. I will never be coming back to this establishment and suggest, keeping your best interest in mind, that you do not choose Sushi Sumo for your Asian dining needs.

What happened to Sumo?! It’s been a long long time since I’ve been here and it’s still the same and different at the same time. This was my original conveyor belt sushi experience, years ago. My return visit was a mixed bag. The staff was super friendly. The sushi chef was really good with the customers(he’ll gladly join you in having sake bombs with you, lol). The sushi?! Well, it was okay. The conveyor belt was filled with sushi«Rolls» all Rolls. I have to say I don’t like sushi rolls that much(is it really sushi? I say no). After being seated and seeing the rolls go around once, then twice, then on and on(about ten minutes) I could not get myself to get any of it. I was about to leave, when the sushi chef(probably realizing I didn’t like any of the rolls) asked if he could make something for me. Yes, please =) Here’s the rundown: Oyster shooter — The best item I got here. It had a raw quail egg, ponzu sauce, siracha and the oyster(small, but good). Yum! Halibut — was good, not great Hamachi — was okay Dynamite Roll — was okay. I did give in and tried one of the rolls going around. I should have gone with my first instinct. The rice was hard(old, it was probably going around for a while, yuck!). Price was reasonable. Service was friendly(sushi chef, super friendly) How things had changed from when I first come here years ago. I wish they had more nigiri circling around. I’m glad it’s still a welcoming place to enjoy some sushi. I just wish it was what it once was.

I totally love this place, never had any problems before with this place until today! Today is my daughter’s 10th Birthday and the waitress was so rude to my daughters! She told my daughter in a very disrespectful way to sit down when she was asking her a question and then when asking for them to sing Happy Birthday to my daughter it was nothing like the kids birthday song behind us. So disappointed, I then wrote a note on the receipt to let them know my disappointment and she had nerve to get an attitude, the girl is 10 for Pete sakes and loves this place. We wish Julie was there, I’ll never deal with that woman ever again.

Love this place can get a little loud at night when they start playing Techno music, but the sushi is very good and not too expensive fun place to go if you are running with young crowd.

Parking … Parking lot is big but always gets so full do to other restaurants and Billard place so I park on the street next to the bank. I usually don’t even bother trying to get a spot in the lot. Food…One thing I’ll give them is that they have fresh fish. They do have a rotating sushi bar and unlike most rotating sushi bars the plates don’t stay long on the belt so it’s consistently fresh. The sushi chefs are by far one of the best parts in coming here. There attitude is fantastic. ORDER A SAKEBOMB you will definitely love the light show. Server… HORRIBLE besides me giving them good on there food one specific server is horrible all around. She is the kind of person who insist u give her 15−20% on each check. I didn’t feel as if I should have gave it to her since she never checked on us to see if we wanted more drinks or even offered water. Due to her horrible service i will make this place one of my last options. She made us feel horrible asking us to hurry up. And when I didn’t tip her for obvious reasons she ran outside and scolded me to tip her. BETTERSERVICEHIGHLYNEEDED.

This is a great location for sushi. It’s Fresh, Friendly, Fast and Fantastic. Most of all the prices are truly great. First timers, go when they first open because the evening can get really packed. parking can be hard but there is also side street parking available. They have this conveyor of dishes going around, so you can choose whatever you want. My waitress Geun heui is so nicel and was always walking around making sure patrons were getting service. Space is limited at the conveyor and fast. So eat up and let others enjoy this cool place.

Well unfortunately it was the second time I have dragged myself out here. Due to the opportunity to eat dinner with a few friends I don’t see often enough I jumped on the opportunity to eat sushi and hang out with my fellow comrades. It was a cool dark night, the weather was warm, someone jumped out with perfect form. I took the next step and ordered some sushi. Big fucking mistake…

I absolutely love this place, the atmosphere and the employees are amazing, funny and friendly. The food was excellent. The Joy roll, Royal Cali Rolland the Steve Roll was so good. I can’t wait to come back. My chef Paul even had a saki shot with us.

Nice friendly atmosphere, good service, nice selection of revolving sushi, and they also serve cold sake; i had the mango– it was delicious. The dance music and jovial sushi chefs make for a pleasing and upbeat ambiance. The waitress was also very friendly and attentive. The wasabi paste a little weak and the sushi was typical of these sorts of revolving sushi bars.

Kind of dingy, not the best selection or variety of fish, but does the trick if you need a sushi fix and Kula Revolving Sushi Bar(which is the same format but far superior) is closed for construction as it was when we were here a few weeks ago haha. The gyoza and kani shrimp are particularly good here.

Upset to say the least. I hear the sushi is good here. That is to say the rolls are good, but they only had two types of rolls on the belt. If you liked spicy krab with spicy mayo or spicy mayo with spicy krab with eel sauce go here because that is all they had on the belt. The customer next to us had the same problem. She asked the waiter if there was going to be any more sushi to which he said, order a roll. It seems the chefs were so busy making custom rolls which were much more expensive that they could not keep the belt interesting. If that’s your game get rid of the belt. The rice in the rolls were mediocre too. It didn’t taste like sushi rice, it was basically steamed rice. While I appreciate rolls with less rice these rolls were small in comparison. For 4.50 per plate it was lacking. We gave up after 25 minutes and went to Kula. At least they have veriety.

Went here while I was visiting family, and I would love to come back! The chef was super nice accommodating for my family’s food allergies and my aversion to spicy food. He made me a special version of a pearl roll that was absolutely delicious. The sushi tasted fresh and YUMMY! Go here!

I always have a great time here. Went last night with a couple of friends and had a blast! The sushi chef’s and the waitress made our experience a good one. They danced, engaged us in conversation and the food was very fresh and delicious. I had many sushi plates that I pulled from the rotation bar as well as oyster shooters! Those oyster shooters are the best! Can’t wait to go back!

$ 2.50 for a cheap tea bag that I see them selling at the Asian markets for a $ 1 something for a box, what a rip off! I don’t mind paying for tea if it were better quality. Besides that tea debacle, I thought the sushi was mediocre-not the worst, but definitely not the best. It’s one of those conveyor belt sushi places so I wasn’t expecting much in terms of quality. Also, I feel like it’s pretty pricy for what you get. You can easily walk away here paying tons of money for average sushi. FYI, the yellow plate which was not on the menu was $ 4.99. For six small plates of sushi and two tea bags, we spent about $ 40. Positives-the servers were friendly, and place had a cool, hip vibe. I’ve had this place bookmarked for awhile so it was inevitable that I would come here at some point, but definitely won’t be back.

I love this place! The service is amazing and when you get a good crowd eating at the same time, it’s a party! The staff is friendly and attentive. The sushi chefs are super nice and approachable. If you don’t see what you like, you don’t feel awkward asking them for something. Sake bombs are the rage when you visit here. Sake bombs are a half a glass of beer, sake,(usually hot sake), balanced on top of your half a glass of beer with chopsticks. The sushi chef will yell«SAKE!» You say bomb! He will yell that one or two more times, then you hit the table, the sake will fall in your glass and then you chug it!!! Can you say«May I have another?» haha…
