The service was super good! We got the katsu curry and the chan pon ramen which were both delicious and hearty meals. Our waiter was extremely polite and the restaurant was quite small but had a really nice atmosphere. It’s perfect for a cold night when you want some warm ramen in your tummy! Also, this is one of those restaurants that I left thinking, «I need to tell more people about this!» because it would be selfish to not let others know about such quality!

The people here are very generous and the ramen is delicious. They serve big portions of ramen and the broth for the Miso Ramen is so tasty. If you like ramen check this place out.

Pretty good, not too salty. We had tofu salad, ramen shoyu, curry. Came here a second time and had the sashimi salmon, yellowtail collar, baby lobster roll, ramen combo with soboro. Not disappointed. At 10pm on a Sunday, the place is still packed.

My first time came here. I had Chanpon ramen that had a lot of veggies, seafood and meat. The serving are big! The soup was so good for the cold weather like today.

Yikes. Quantity over quality for sure, and it’s probably what’s earned them four stars because the service and food were terrible. If you’ve ever eaten GOOD ramen, and if you’ve eaten a wide variety of ramen, you know this is terrible ramen. But everything was closed today and shin sen gumi had a line filling the parking lot so I gave this place a shot based on location and ratings. I guess the fact that they serve sushi should have tipped me off and I should have realized that even though they’re called a ramen house, they can’t specialize in it if the menu has rolls and loads of other crap on it. Not to mention they only have one server. Yeah, one. Never again. Although I’ll say this, if you’re not too ramen savvy and just love huge portions and gut busters, go here. or if you have kids that like bland food

Staying in Gardena for New Year’s and the day after, we’re in a neighborhood packed with ramen joints. I had others in mind for my first meal of 2016 but alas, being New Year’s Day, I had to call about 5 before I called Kiraku and they were the first to actually answer the phone. We walked over to a full house — it’s a small place but it was cute, clean, and not divey-hole-in-the-wall; those can have some great food but also can worry me a little bit. Being probably one of the only ramen places open today, I was expecting a bit of a wait. We got in at a bad time since most of the tables appeared to be either ordering or waiting with waters for their orders. I think we waited maybe a half hour, but luckily we walked over from our hotel before we were too hungry so waiting was fine. The only staff we could see was one guy at the sushi bar and one woman doing all the seating, serving, and bussing — she was running around the whole time and working her butt off to get people in, eating, paid, and out! This place had it all on the menu! Appetizers(I always have to order steamed, salted edamame), ramen, rice dishes, and TONS of sushi. I wish I had been feeling sushi rather than ramen since their assortment of baked rolls(my favorite kind of rolls) was pretty good, I think there were 5 or 6 and a lot of places don’t have any or maybe just have one. We ordered the steamed edamame to start, my boyfriend ordered the Wontonmen ramen, or shoyu ramen with wontons(he added egg and they gave him 3 halves!), and I ordered a combo of Shio Butter ramen with a 3 piece nigiri sushi. I misunderstood and usually the combo is a regular shoyu ramen but for the dinner price(10.95 instead of 8.95) she let me order it with the shio. One disappointment was there was no hot tea, which my boyfriend was really looking forward to being so under the weather. No hot tea at all! The edamame came out first and it was a pretty big portion, especially considering what happened at the last ramen place I got edamame at… My sushi came out right away and was one yellowtail, one tuna, and one salmon, covered in some kind of sauce. I can’t put my finger on what sauce it was, but I will say that it complemented the salmon exquisitely. I don’t really have an opinion on its place with the tuna or yellowtail, but those two pieces were good; the salmon was amazing and I just wanted more. Onto the ramen! The bowls here are huge! I will say I only got two pieces of pork in mine, but they were pretty big pieces and tasted delicious. And fair enough, when it comes to ramen I’m all about the noodles and broth. I loved that my shio butter ramen came with a legitimate pat of butter just sitting on top of the noodles. I’m a butter fiend. Boyfriend said his ramen was perfect and hit the spot. Being a little sniffle-y and sore throat-y, ramen and not the Maruchan kind was just what he needed. Our check came and was dealt with really quickly, but it had gotten to be after 2:30 so no new tables were being seated. We did have to ask a second time to receive our drinks but the woman was SO apologetic for forgetting them. She was so stressed though, running around, and I could tell some of the other tables were getting impatient. Overall, I’m really happy this place was open today! It was well worth the wait and a short walk. Plus, prices were super affordable! Just about $ 31 for all that we got.

Good Food, big Portions at a very good price. Sushi is a lil on high side considering I usually eat at all you can eat sushi restaurants for sushi, but the ramen is outstanding!

Needed something warm to eat for the cold night. Just driving around after a massage and we found this place, Kiraku. It’s a small place with 6 to 7 tables? But we were seated by the sushi bar. It was kind of dark but felt cozy. Bf ordered the Miso Ramen which was noodles in miso flavored soup with some pork and assorted vegetables. I got the Negi Miso soup. Green onions and sliced roast pork over miso ramen. Just because I don’t like too much things going on in my soup. Hehe. Anyways, the ramen was good but not the best I’ve had. Huge serving size. Came in like within 5.6 minutes after ordering? We also ordered sushi. I like eating sushi and poke. And they had it here in one plate! Poke over sushi. The quality and appearance of the plate was good. Though it seems like they only have one server, the service was quick and she was really friendly.

The waiter kept holding bowls of hot ramen over the small children in our party while trying to figure out who it should go to. It’s the worst ramen I’ve ever had and the service was just bad.

Place is okay, 9 dollars for lunch got me 3 piece of sushi, 2 pieces of pork, and a ramen. I probably wouldnt go here again; they look a little under staff with just one server. Sushi was pretty good though. I wish the broth had a little more flavor. None of the broths were pork based and when I asked the server was referring to tonkatsu as deep fried pork. P. S. you cannot substitute out the ramen on lunch special or else its a 2 dollar charge and defeats the purpose of the special.

Great late night spot. The gyoza are delicious. I had spicy green onion Ramen which was good, not great but good. There are lots of fantastic Ramen places in the area which make it tough to give this place more than 3 stars. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are fair.

Just when it seems like they couldn’t get any better with their DELICIOUS ramen… they added a fresh sushi bar! Win!

A hidden gym. I checked out Kiraku by myself and ending sitting next to the sushi bar, where I met the Chef/Owner. A native sushi chef by trade but learned the craft of making fine quality ramen along the way. So if youre in the mood for ramen or sushi, Kiraku is a place to check out. I had the Chashu ramen which had a unique blend in the broth with generous Chashu portions. As a first time visitor, the Chef did let me sample sushi and provided dessert all on the house. The environment had a nice setting, where you can hear yourself talk and has a menu with an affordable price. Worth checking out and I’ll be back again

Came here 28 days ago — according to my check-in…I know super late on reviewing it but I definitely remember it. I was actually looking for another place but ran out of time and had to settle in here for a quick lunch. they were pretty empty so I thought it would be quick and easy — which it was. Service was friendly and though I can’t say the restaurant is all that clean. it was dark and semi-depressing — giving me the impression it wasn’t very clean either. I quickly ordered a Char-sui Miso Ramen — which turn out to be super disappointing. the char sui was really thick and dry… the noodles weren’t very good — kind of stringy. the broth was just salty — far from being rich and flavorful and they loaded it with bean sprouts — there was more bean sprouts than there were noodles. Overall the food was pretty sad though the service was okay but not enough to keep me from wanting to come here again.

This shopping center is filled with Asian restaurants and shouldn’t me missed. Although it’s no secret since the parking lot is typically full. It’s hard to get into the parking and parking is difficult not only because it is filled, but because they paint the lines so only golf carts can fit in them. Consequently, the parking is a mess. But enough about the parking. Many places to chose and many of them Japanese. This is one of those places. It seems a little more classy than the other places in the shopping center. The lunch specials offer the best deals. The ramen was good and the noodles were fresh. The server was bit on the slow side. Having many other places to chose, I’m not convinced that this place was the best, but good enough for a future return.

A quiet traditional japanese restaurant that has japanese music playing in the background. Good to drink beer and has good combo plates. Opens till 1 am. If you get the ramen noodles… Make sure to ask for extra bowls because my boyfriend and i couldnt finish it. Thank god we didnt order two ramen bowls. Crunchy roll was delicious. Good customer service. I would deff. Come back.

Kiraku is small, cozy, and unassuming. What an amazing find. I would never have guessed that I would eat the best ramen noodles of my life here. Kiraku(not to be confused with Kouraku in LA, which I have also reviewed) is located in Tozai plaza along with Tampopo Ramen and Boba Time. It’s a small dining room with about seven tables and the counter. The ramen came out only six minutes after ordering. Chashumen: extra slices of roast pork in shoyu ramen. Bamboo shoots, fish cake, and green onions were standard. The broth had a mild soy sauce flavor and was the weakest part of the ramen. The pork was stellar — wow. Super tender and flavorful. Noodles — wow. I couldn’t believe it at first! Firm, chewy, cooked just the right amount. Perfectly al dente. Cooking ramen noodles properly is similar to cooking eggs properly. You must take the eggs off the stove before they lose their shine. If you’re too late, the residual heat will overcook the eggs — the same goes for the noodles. This chef knows when to stop cooking them just before they are done because they will continue to cook slightly in the hot broth. They were immaculate. This rarely happens, but these noodles stole the show and propelled a weak broth into a good rating. I cannot adequately explain to you the feeling I got when eating this. It was hearty, filling, and enlightening all at once. I’m continually searching for the perfect bowl of ramen. I haven’t found it yet, but I will someday. I thought Toraji ramen had three good components, but after tasting the noodles here I realize that the Toraji noodles were not even close to this level of perfection! Without the sensational noodles, this would have been a three star experience. These noodles were unbelievable. I don’t know if they’re made in house, or how they prepare and cook them, but whatever it is, they need to keep doing it. I’ll be back. My current dream bowl of ramen consists of: — Tonkotsu broth from Asa Ramen! — Pork belly from Beni Tora! — Noodles from Kiraku! What a «super bowl» this would be!(haha)
