I like the bakery here. However I’m just very disappointed that they don’t have the shaved ice anymore, I really loved them so much!!! I hope they could bring back the shaved ice :(

I have never entered a physical MamMoth Bakery before, but I have always picked up their bread products at my local Nijiya Market. Their loaf breads are the best loaf breads I have tasted. The walnut bread, marble bread, and milk bread are simply delicious. My favorite, and the one I would recommend to all is the walnut bread. The topping for the walnut bread, and for all of their breads, is buttery and delicious. The interior of the breads are soft and light. A slice is perfect as is, even better when lightly toasted. The wonderful texture and flavor are simple, but enough so that there is no need for butter or jam. I often find myself eating almost the whole loaf in one sitting. I hope people continue to support this local bakery and try their excellent products! One loaf retails for $ 3.29 at Nijiya.

Good bakery that doesn’t use chemicals in their bread. I only say that because normally the breads I get at the Japanese supermarkets do. I guess it’s because they are freshly made every day. The white bread is so fluffy. Love them. I think the prices went up though. One teeny tiny Apple strudel that I could eat in one bite was over $ 3. Not sure why that is!

Mammoth is a very cute little bakery inside marukai in pacific square. I used to live/work very close to this plaza and would usually grab a small lunch from mammoth. My favorite is the egg sandwich! It comes with three little sandwiches with egg salad and tomato. So good! They have a variety of sandwiches, bread, desserts and more! Perfect spot to get a small lunch/snack for a great price.

This bakery is located inside the Marukai Pacific Market on Redondo Beach blvd. My family loves this place. Their favorites include: –milk bread –english bread –red bean bread –the mixed sandwiches that are located in the refrigerated section –those little cakes that come in 5/pack If you have a purchase that’s over $ 10, they’ll give you a free treat. Today, I got an apricot bread.

I only tried 2 items: Sesame pudding: You can taste the subtle sesame flavor. Slightly too creamy for me. Honey toast: Thick bread soaked in butter, baked, and then drizzled with honey. Delicious if you bring it home and toast it. The outside is crunchy and the center is soft and squishy. I love the honey taste as well.

We ordered a small item(black sesame custard) for $ 3.39. According to Unilocal reviews, this bakery is suppose to be a hit! We’ll find out soon. It’s located inside the Murakai Supermarket.

*sigh* I hate to do this but people need to know. I absolutely LOVE Mammoth Bakery but after today I will no longer return. I went over the fridge to grab a ham sandwich(my fav!)for lunch. When i took one out, i noticed that there was some sort of green stuff sprinkled on top of the packaging. So i grabbed another one, & that one had a small glob of GREENMOLD on the packaging. I wanted to tell the lady working @ the register but she was busy helping a customer, so i decided to wait until she was free because i didn’t want to make a scene or anything. So while i was waiting, i kept looking at the fridge i noticed that the clear plastic cover(that covers the fridge) also had spots of green mold. It was so gross! So finally the lady was free & i took the ham sandwich with the glob of green mold on the packaging & showed it to her. & she tried to convince me that it wasnt mold! Are you freakin’ kidding me? She grabbed the green glob with her fingers & said it was«freezer burn» but wait it gets better… So she just wiped her fingers on a rag & tried to reassure me that it wasnt mold & proceeded to help the next customer. She didnt even wash her hands! I’m so disappointed & grossed out. 1st Mottainai & now Mammoth Bakery! I mean c’mon people! You are dealing with food & the health of the public! Take the freakin’ time to clean up! It’s not that hard! Sorry for the rant but I couldn’t keep this kind of information to myself.(This happened today btw. Around 12:20 pm) Mammoth, you just lost a loyal customer.

Stopped by here with my husband last Saturday to feed my sweet tooth. This bakery is located in the Marukai Market(in the Pacific Square Plaza), so it is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. Anyways, we ended up purchasing a few things like the honey thick toast, Madeline cookies, curry pork pastry & a cinnamon donut looking pastry(not sure of the exact names of these baked goods). My husband and I shared a few bites of the thick honey toast after we purchased it and it was delicious, but very carb filling! I loved the little Madeline cookies and were moist even a few days after purchasing. My husband liked his curry pastry(he ate it after a few days after purchasing and he said it wasn’t dry). The cinnamon pastry wasn’t anything special to me and a little dry(that could possibly be due to the fact that I ate it a few days after purchasing). This pastry reminded me of a donut since it was round with a hole in the middle. But I think this pastry was baked instead of deep fried. I think I would have preferred a cinnamon cream filling instead of this pastry rolled or coated in cinnamon. I can see why this place has an overall rating of 4.5 stars(at the time of this review). I will be sure to come back here the next time I am in the area for sure. By the way, there is a $ 5 minimum for credit card transactions. You can also purchase shaved ice here, which I haven’t tried yet but will the next time I come.

Anyone that has been inside Marukai has heard of MamMoth Bakery. Looking for fresh incredible bread? Get the bread that says«Oven Fresh Bakery». Every morning, I start my coffee and throw in a slice of this in the oven, add butter and off to work. Tips: 1) This bread can be placed in the freezer and still taste excellent out of the oven!

A bakery with green tea shave ice?!? Would you believe yes?!? We came to this location in the Marukai Shopping Center on a very hot October day to order the green tea shave ice special($ 3.75) and were very pleased with the strong Japanese matcha flavor covered condensed milk. This reminded me of the cripsy ice flakes instead of the fluffy Hawaiian shave ice. The only bummer was they ran out of green tea ice cream that accompanied with the special. Unfortunately, I did not purchase any baked goods but they looked incredibly delicious! They have an onsite bakery which carries breads, desserts and pastries. Maybe on my next visit I’ll make time and carb up here.

I’m a huge fan of MamMoth Bakery’s afternoon sales! Chicken Katsu and Beef Katsu sandwiches for $ 2.50 each? What a deal! Just stay vigilant, because the daily mark downs on each items price don’t happen at the same time everyday– it depends on sales on their sales. Make sure to bring cash, because they have a $ 5 minimum for credit/debit transactions. Thumbs up!

WOW this place is damn legit… So happy I’ve finally got to try the bread here! There are two Marukai in Gardena and I used to go the the larger one on Artesia. But for MamMoth Bakery, I now come to this one. There aren’t much of a store front to be speaking about, it is pretty much just a part of the food court inside of the market. No pastel-color walls, no cutesy patisserie decors, and no sweet Jap cashiers in uniforms. Just a tiny 10 – 15 feet long spread of aromatic, mouthwatering display of bread. My advice to you when coming here is to act quick. Cut some lines or throw some elbows, do what you gotta do. You snooze you lose, seriously! For some reason or just my luck, there is always that one last one of the best breads… My favs at the refrigerated section are the potato salad sandwich and the croquette sandwich. They are simple, comforting, and tasty. Now to the freshly baked area, strongly recommending the spicy cod roe bread, butter rolls(comes in a bag of 8), and the apple pan(I like apple filling; however my guy doesn’t… Him: what’s that? Apple? EW! Me: com’on try a bite. Him: fine *taking a tiny bite* Him: oh my… *nom nom nom ate the whole thing* Me: WAHHH :(*** This isn’t a large scale bakery. They don’t have a lot to choose from, the selection is minimal. And majorities are home style greasy savory meal bread, not many sweet and zero pastries. But those few items they do offer are heavenly. Breads are always perfectly soft and buttery, the stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth deliciousness!

I have come here plenty of times on my way to grab a quick lunch. Usually I just get some random pastrys that look delicious after picking up my chicken teriyaki from Bentos. But after a few more tries at this place, I have realized this place is legit and serves great stuff. Now the best item here(no freaking joke) is their walnut/almond cookies. They are the best in the freaking world. They are so good I have no clue if its walnuts or almonds… my mind is drawing a blank. The last 2 times there I asked the lady if they still made any, and she told me they have been selling out. I cant even describe this thing. Its like crispy thin layer of cookie batter and walnuts/almonds(still drawing a blank) encrusted into it. You get like 10 – 15 thing cookies the size of a circle with a 3 inch diameter. Im sure there’s honey drizzled on, because this thing is sweet and crispy. Another favorite of mine is the honey brick toast. You get that and put it in the over for a bit, and my god the bread is nice and toasty, each square they cut into it has the right amount of drenched honey.(As you can see, i have a sweet tooth at this bakery) Now these 2 are the highlights of my experience. The other breads were all great but I just cant stop thinking about those cookies/wafers with almonds/walnuts. You must go there and get it.

There’s a Mammoth Bakery inside Marukai in Little Tokyo, but I like this one more. First, there’s more selection. Secondly, the hospitality is much clearer here. Fresh bread, pastries and other baked goods. I picked up a cheese pan. It was delicious.

Mamoth Bakery. I love«Pigging» out on bakery items! Oink Oink Oink Who likes pig face bakery? Kids don’t.they LOVE it! This bakery sits inside Marukai Market and has quite the selection. I have tried various pastries from time to time. For the most part, I have been a fan of all of them. I have to say my favorite of all bakery items is the pig face. Kids love this. It is tasty and quite the event for a child to munch on a piggy face. Strawberry cream sandwich is yummy! I so need to try the chocolate horny bread. Mamoth Bakery, I am a fan. BUT. Cream Pan is better. Cream Pan, Tustin. another reason Orange County is the best place to live!

4.5 stars. Got 2 items here since I came here around 5pm Curry pan-Not as good as Curry House. but then again, it wasn’t fried to order. The batter was a bit thick and it wasn’t at all spicy. However, it was good enough that I finished it all. Chicken Sandwich-Really delicious. Breaded chicken with tomato and shredded cabbage on white chewy bread with sweet bbq like sauce. Can find this at the refrigerator. Will be back for the sandwiches when I go on my trips to San Diego!
