This is my kind of place! The coffee is great! The food was great. The place is the best kind of breakfast place. Basic and GOOD. Service is good. Don’t expect anything fancy. But expect to leave happy and full!

Places like Gabby’s are far & few between anymore. If you are looking for something better(much, much better!) than the run of the mill breakfast/lunches you get at the chain restaurants, this is your place. Oh sure, they may have the same menu items, but it’s the use of fresh ingredients that make the difference(don’t be surprised if a special is sold out, when it’s gone, it’s gone — no reaching into the freezer for last months«brick»). Portions are large, service is great, and the food is always fantastic. Need more proof? Next time there’s a major winter storm, check out the eateries that have all the plow trucks out front grabbing their breakfast after a long night of plowing, yup, they’re all at Gabby’s Place!

At a first glance I wasnt too sure, but soon after stepping inside everything changed! We went on a Saturday morning and our waitress, the cheering blonde, was very welcoming. Her personality set the stage for the rest of the meal. The eggs bennedict was delicious and a MUST. Our party of five enjoyed the meal and were suprised that our tab was under $ 40. Great breakfast on a dime.

We needed an inexpensive option while we stayed at Great Wolfe and this was perfect. Service was good and no wait. I would recommend this to anyone traveling in the area.

I had the corn beef hash, eggs and fries in which, are square potato wedges(South). I was actually impressed. The food tasted fresh and it wasn’t very bland. A little pepper helps. Carry cash.

Cute little place had an omelette with ham onion and tomatoes home fries and toast. Not much seating but more than I thought before I walked in. Staff knew her regulars, but didn’t make me feel like I didn’t belong if that makes sense … Good came out fast Would go again

This is a great little place to have breakfast, I have not been for lunch yet. My son turned me on to this eatery. This is really a diner, very small and cash only but the food and service have been terrific. I tried the homemade corned beef hash which was tasty, and traditional over easy eggs, toast, ect. My son had the pancakes and they were over the top huge, he could not finish and he is a big eater. Reasonable prices and a good quick place to get a bite for breakfast. I’ve been three times and it was a good experience each time, maybe a little cold inside one day this winter but the hot coffee took care of that ;)

Great place. Must get potato pancakes(hash browns), beyond amazing. Corned beef hash is good to. Homemade. Everything else is standard diner fare. Good food, great prices. Would be five stars is they accepted other forms of payment than just cash.

Great little place for breakfast or lunch. Easy to find a seat on a weekend, I’d imagine crowded on the weekends. Cash only.

II had the steak tips and eggs this morning and I can honestly say that the steak was better than the one I had two nights ago at the«outback» steakhouse. The place has a great homey atmosphere(eclectic mug collection, good coffee) and the staff is efficient and friendly. Super!

Great local breakfast and lunch place! «Small place for BIG appetites!» is the slogan here! Gabby’s Place is conveniently located off Route 2 at Exit 23, just south of the rotary on Pearson Blvd, across the street from Williams Restaurant. The atmosphere inside is that of a very cozy greasy spoon hometown diner, which has 9 stool seats at the lunch counter and five tables along the front and side walls. The place has a lot of character and the staff and regular patrons address each other by first name. The menu offerings include a full breakfast menu(served all day) including order by number breakfasts, egg dishes, stuffed Texas French toast, pancakes, corned beef hash, 3 egg omelettes, and breakfast sandwiches. Donahue Bros Coffee is brewed here. Lunch offerings include grilled and cold sandwiches(served with potato chips & pickle spear), melts, burgers, hot dogs, soups, and desserts. The prices are reasonable, breakfast dishes $ 2.95-$ 7.95 and sandwiches $ 2.50-$ 6.25. Daily specials are offered too including homestyle meals like baked haddock and lasagna(sells out). I was in here for lunch recently on my trip out west on Route 2. I arrived here around 12:15PM and the parking lot was almost full and upon entering the place was packed, though I immediately found an open stool at the lunch counter. I looked over the menu and looked at the specials board. The waitress promptly took my order. I quickly decided to order a bowl of Clam Chowder($ 3.75) and the Meatloaf Sandwich Special($ 5.50) and a glass of cold water. The waitress also asked me if I’d like the meatloaf served cold or hot, type of bread, and what I’d like on the sandwich(gravy was a choice). I love choices! I ordered the Meatloaf Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo and provolone cheese on a bulkie. The Clam Chowder came out quickly, served very hot in a big bowl. This chowder had smooth creamy broth with potatoes, minced clams, and lots of real bacon, should be called«Bacon Chowder.» The chowder was a good soup, and the taste was on the salty side from the bacon. The Meatloaf Sandwich arrived soon after. The sandwich was very good served on a toasted soft bulkie roll. The hot meatloaf had a very soft texture which had minced onions and peppers and the condiments chosen gave it good flavors. The potato chips were very standard. As I finished up, the lunch rush was winding down. I was stuffed and passed on the dessert special strawberry shortcake, which looked very good. Overall, a solid good filling lunch at a good price($ 9.83 with tax before tip) with quick and efficient service on this recent visit to Gabby’s Place. Back on the highway! CASHONLY
