We drove out to LaChance Furniture to venture outside of the Boston pricey stores looking for more value. Purchased a bedroom dresser that was manufactured in Canada. We waited the six(6) weeks for delivery and of course we receive a damaged dresser. We inform the delivery crew and so note the damage of the bill of lading, shipping receipt. The shipping crew tells us they have a person that will come out and repair the damage area of the chest. So, of course after waiting the six(6) weeks we accept the dresser and patiently wait for the repairman. More than a month later the repairman calls and schedules an appointment for a Wednesday from 11:00AM to 1: PM. It’s not easy to stay home and wait for a repairman in the middle of the day and miss out working. So, the repairman calls Wednesday at 11:45AM and states that he can’t find a parking space and if he can’t find one in the next few minutes he will leave and have to reschedule for another time. Of course, this does suit us very well and I tell him that don’t bother coming back and I’ll call LaChance Furniture to come back up and take back the damaged goods. I have called LaChance and left a message and no one has returned my call. Good Luck if you receive a damage piece of furniture!

Terrible service from the get go. I purchased a lazy boy chair from them. I was not impressed with the salesperson in the beginning. We then had several issues with the chair. It took several weeks to come and look at the chair. They then took it for several more weeks without a loaner. Every time I called I got a different answer. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We took a day trip out to the furniture outlets in Gardner, and I was so impressed with LaChance! Both stores had beautiful display rooms, with high quality furniture at a reasonable price. Mary was very friendly and helpful, providing her opinion when asked without being overly pushy. Even recommended a great lunch spot at Gardner Ale House and Brewery. I ended up ordering 4 chairs and can’t wait for them to come! I just bought a big old house, and I look forward to filling my home with more beautiful pieces from LaChance.

I’ve been seeing commercials about the furniture outlets in the Gardner area for years. After going to pretty much all the major furniture retailers around Boston, I decided we should make the trek to Gardner. It was actually a nice drive down 495 to Rt 2 and we were there in about an hour. I was really impressed with the La Chance selection and I highly recommend a day trip to the area to see what they have. They offer a nice selection of high quality well made pieces that do not scream mass-produced like most major furniture retailers. They had some really unique cool pieces. I found the La Chance prices to be slightly on the higher end then say Rome or the Factory Coop. Also LC does not have bargain rooms like the other outlets so if you are hunting for a really rock bottom deal, you won’t find it here. Both LC showrooms offer a good range of products. The Kraft Street location I felt had more dining rooms to choose from which is what we were looking for on this trip. The Kraft St location also felt busier and the older sales staff seemed to be less inclined to even help a couple of 35 year olds. At the Broadway location, Joyce was super helpful and answered lots of our questions about the dining room sets, the custom options and other particulars. In the end, we did not end up buying at La Chance because we found the right dining set at the right price at the Factory Coop.(See my FC review)
