AMPM runs right down the middle of the convenience store spectrum. Sure they sometimes have tasty and generous deals, like multiple heat-lamp meat sandwiches and burgers for staggeringly low prices. But they’re also attached to ARCO gas stations, which only take cash and debit(and charge a surcharge for the debit). Sure the gas is cheaper, but I can’t get my miles with cash. Anyway, whatever. This is conveniently located on the south end of Minden, and is the last gas station for a while if you’re headed south. The gas here is way cheaper than the stuff down at Topaz Lake. It’s got an easy in/out access scenario going on. And you can fuel up on carb-loaded junk food while you’re filling up your Land Cruiser. It is what it is.
